Where you can share your thoughts on the commenting platform
Okay, the commenting platform is brand new, so there will be trials and tribulations, and maybe an occasional issue, with the functionality. If you notice anything that isn’t working, or have ideas on features you’d like to see, please list them in the comments section below.

Obviously the big thing that people are sick of hearing from me is the Z key.
One other thing I noticed is while I remain logged in the ticker in bottom left shows new comments (good) and then has a running tally of new comments, but that’s not updated as I hover over and show them as read, effectively removing the yellow signifier. Once I log back on all those comments that appeared while I was logged on previously now show they are unread again. Would like that to be tracked so when I log back on I only see new comments.
Color change after a certain amount of up votes
hey Brad, is it possible to have comments show the date (and time?) they were posted? Right now it just says how many minutes or hours or days ago it was as of the time the page is loaded.
screen captures of embarrassing predictions will be more potent with a captured date 🙂
Speaking for the older folks, I think the color scheme seems light with the shade of yellow being used. Occasionally I have struggled to see the words that are yellow. Others have expressed that as well.

Gone if you are still checking this, it would be nice if when we click on reply, and then decide not to reply, if there could be a cancel button so the comment box doesn’t just sit open.
Also a better preview of the gif selection. I have picked a few gifs that after I post them have additional content not seen on the giffy preview box.
a button to show what comment someone else is replying to, maybe that’s what vikingphilip’s “back to top” meant?
Add a log in button on the top of the home page. Perhaps a profile link also on the top of the home page.
Also a “back to top of comments” button on the bottom of the comments.
z key of course.
Have the new comments follow the person, not the device. And of course have the new comments continue to show new until you actually view them.
Create a way to collapse or hide gifs. Also the ability to collapse a comment would be nice also.
Some people may want to “ignore” a person. I can get pretty annoying at times.
Also when a comment gets x amount of comments have it turn purple.
any chance when something gets 5 rec’s, to turn it purple, that was a nice feature
helped when i was buzzing through, if i saw a purple’d comment, i would stop and reminisce from when i wrote it and everyone liked it
How bout a way to embed a tweet into the comments?
Two things:
1) I would like to be able to post my comment without having to click the button. Some forums do this by using the enter key as post with shift+enter replacing the original shift function, which is going to the next line. Doesn’t have to be that way, maybe shift+enter posts the comment. Maybe it’s an option in our profile. (Maybe it is already? I’ll look)
2) Can we count comments? I’d love to be able to do that, but it’s not worth moving mountains. Worth a look, perhaps.
Interesting in looking at the timelines of posts. Posts made 45 minutes ago have responses from several hours ago. Also several comments are now new, as in colored after having been read hours ago and turned white. Many comments are missing that were previously posted, including innocuous ones describing what seemed to be a malfunction yesterday when the thread had the same 20 or so post thread first and last. Seems to be working fine other than many missing comments and the timeline being accurate. I guess order seems off too, with the first comment being 6 hours old yet much much newer comments being posted below that one, but not as a reply but as a whole new comment.
Okay, the jumbled mess and missing comments all straightened out after I refreshed the page. Still must be some issues with the auto refresh situation. Again, after refreshing the page all seems in order and missing threads/comments returned.
If possible, could we get the comments thinner? Feel like they’re really spaced out and a lot of scrolling bc of it

Thank you for the new site. While there are lots of tweaks we seek to make it better, the fact that you have gone through so much trouble to put it together is greatly appreciated.
I often wonder about how much money you have invested out of your pocket to get this site up and running. I would donate to a “go fund me” site for you.
He could just add a PayPal link!

Could also do a “subscriber option” too… but at the same time… would be a deterrent.
