57 and foggy this morning. Sunny with a high of 74 expected.
45 and cloudy here…weekend yet again lows in the high 20’s to start the mornings completely killed any chance of golfing while the preceding weekdays gets in the 70’s lol. Never fails a cold front moves in Friday night. I hate working for the man truly fucks up ones life. One can imagine the ray of sunshine I am at work…
It’s an end of an era. I was doing some cleanup of my browser bookmarks and finally decided to remove the DN. I haven’t been there for so long I would have to look up my password before I could even log on. C’est la vie.
Sad.
I usually stop by in the mornings before coming here.
It only takes a couple of minutes.
Open threads have been getting later and later.
Fridays I think was like noon CT.
Haven’t clicked on that site in over two years if not longer. Dead as it should be.

Major snow storm headed our way. We could get 10 to 18 inches of snow. I’m ready for spring.

I’m trying to decide what is worse, golf updates or mock drafts.
I have brothers/uncles who golf, my Grandfather was so happy when he ‘shot his age’ in his early 80s. But watching it is not fun, listening/watching other people chat while they watch it is even less fun.
Mock drafts can be interesting closer to draft day after the underwear olympics and the start of the NFL new years when we know what players were kept and who we let go. This early in the process seems pointless to me.
But the Wankers can do what they want, I can ignore them as I used to be married so I have lots of practice.

By the way watched a great Brad Faxon putting lesson today. I’m so excited for the golf season coming up. I’m going to be so improved in putting it’s going to be the most improved part of my game this year. Check it out.
Reading greens, getting the ball started on line, and distance control.
Reading greens is my weak link. I often have a ball break completely opposite of what I read. Even on chips.
Reading greens is probably my best putting skill. Faxon covers some keys to green reading.
Needs putting lessons from me. Putting my strongest part of my game. I’ve hit some insane outs over the years
I’m averaging 1.7 per round currently. I’m a better putter than you.

Ok I’ll share my golf app rounds with your this season you’ll see. I’ll be honest, I don’t cheat myself. You do the same.
Thought Tigers chip on 14 was in… just a bit outside though. Needs a couple birdies in the last four holes to shoot even par today.
welp….seems Tiger has hit the wall finally. You’d expect it first tourney back eventually but he’s shown really well and performed way better than expected. I didn’t think he’d make the cut and this is a course he’s never won at in 15 attempts. He’ll be ready for the masters that’s for sure and I expect him to compete for the win.
Right now he’s going through the mental battle. He’s over par after the front nine but has to soldier on. Can’t stop trying now. I can see he’s not as focused as he was. Now he has to just finish like a Champion and show his mettle.

Tiger tends to struggle in round 4.
He is just to beat up after three rounds, he just doesn’t have the stamina for four rounds at the pga level. And I say that meaning he doesn’t have the stamina to win. Yet.
Honestly Tiger has had two days where his putter was cold. He’s missed 8 putts inside 8 feet. Put those 8 shots in the hole and he’s at 9 under par right now and tied for 8th. Missing 3 and 4 foot putts is just one of those things Tiger never did in his younger days.
Agreed his putting hasn’t been good, but he always looks like he is just hanging on in the final round these days, rather than storming the course.
Yes, he plays so little, and he said he hadn’t walked 72 holes since the Masters last year. He didn’t look too tired to me as much as dejected he couldn’t putt. Tee to green this week he looked good and was striping the ball a lot. Putter was his problem really. I’d take this as a positive. He can still move the ball out there 300+ yards with a fused back and bad legs. Distance isn’t a problem. If he gets his putter to heat up he’ll make the cut at the Masters this year and maybe contend on Sunday.
Tiger laces his tee shot to 7’2″ from 207 yards on the par three 6th hole. Let’s get that shot right back!
Just singes the hole on the low side… needed to play another two inches of break there. Par, but really not very inspiring for Tiger.
Yeah he’s got that putter toe issue again messing with his flow. He should be draining those even though these greens are very tough he’s a master putter.
Tiger with 4′ 4″ left for par on #5. Needs to make a good firm stroke on this.

Looks very relaxed….might go low today finish -7 or -8 under. Putter is working well.
Great putt from 11 feet to save par on 3. Birdie, par, par start. Needs another two birdies to get into the top 10 at the moment.
Tiger next to tee off in about 8 minutes. Hope he plays well today. No chance to win, but certainly top 10 is within reach.

This is such BS…these guys are good but they get a ton of breaks and play in premium conditions. That alone is worth 5 strokes a round.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’d argue there hasn’t been an elite QB drafted in round 1 outside Mahomes Allen and Burrow in the last decade or more that’s still around

That sounds about right and that was kinda my point. Maybe I misunderstood Mick but it sounded like he was saying the Vikings need to do what KC did. My point is that, it’s not that easy.
Do they need to try to find a young franchise QB and take shots in the draft to do so, yes…along with every other team that doesn’t have one. But it’s a needle in a haystack exercise.

I would prefer the Vikings keep the picks in the coming years set and trade back if anything to acquire more day 2-3 picks. Then when approaching drafting a QB see what falls each year and I would try to pick one with potential annually day 2 or 3. It’s a long shot no doubt but when you hit on one it’s far and away the best value outside of the unicorn Mahomes type guys we just don’t have a snowballs chance in hell landing. KAM is a little to loosie goosie with his draft picks and we end up like this year with only a few and no real ammo to do much day two unless he drops out of rd 1 which he probably will.
Kirk is also Lightyears better than Alex Smith was. Chiefs weren’t that good back then either

Also said tackle I picked can play all 5 positions across the line chicken boy so he’s a major upgrade to take our OL to the next level and I got an appropriate QB prospect along with every other need.
