From NFL.com, CeeDee Lamb thinks the Cowboys need to add more weapons for Dak if they’re going to do anything in the playoffs. If one of those weapons is a weapon to help him throw to the correct team, Lamb may be onto something. Also, Josh Jacobs wants to be with the Raiders long-term.
The Superb Owl is on Sunday, I’ll probably watch just to jeer the Eagles.

Carr is a good QB but is he really going to be in demand? He’s played in 142 games and put up 217 TD’s. That’s decent, but Cousins has thrown 45 more TD’s in the same number of games (and 6 of those games were in relief of RGIII late in the game).

I usually watch at home with my girlfriend during the regular season, there would be SB parties though that we could attend. Didn´t consider it this year because I´m pretty indifferent about this game.

The pros definitely have easier rules.
One rule I have abandoned is the “lost ball rule” in the rough/fairway. If I can’t find my ball when I’m sure it’s in the fairway or rough I don’t take a penalty stroke. Woods or water I take the penalty. The pros almost never lose the ball, ever, because they have spotters finding their ball for them. Totally unfair for the amateur.

Exactly…especially important in the fall of the year with all the leaves laying around…the Pros don’t have to mess with that either.
I play a handful of times with a couple of guys every year, and they always set their ball up on the grass and take a few mulligans every round, then claim they beat me. I just chuckle.
I always add 5 strokes to what they claim they shot.
I play with some guys who constantly forget to count the “pick-it-up” stroke…I don’t know if its on purpose but I will be like “no thats a 7, 6 strokes plus the pick up”

Ah….to be young and still hopeful. Life will teach you Skolly that the answers are usually the most obvious choice. Sure the coach was bad but good players can also make up for bad coaching as well. We have old highly paid players who clearly on tape have lost a step. It’s the players and the coach. Want to fix the issue…how about get rid of both potential reasons to ensure you address the root causes instead of guessing it was this one and taking the chance it’s incorrect and losing another year building on the fix. Look at the history here….we’re on a 5th “run it back again” episode. It’s time, move on.

Much of it is just the human, some can be raised in good homes and turnout to be flat assholes and some in terrible homes and turnout to be amazing people. I’m just not willing to take those chances and theres enough people on this planet already I don’t give a fuck about passing on my lineage to the future. The future is fucked on this planet for humans that is 100% guaranteed. Only question is when.

Played a round of golf today for the first time in a month. Shot a 91 which was pretty solid in semi cold air. Shot a 44 on the front side and a 47 on the back. Oddly had the strangest back 9 I’ve ever had. Over nine holes had 5 doubles, 3 pars and 1 bogey. It was the weirdest mix of amazingly great and awful shots. Short game was on all day. Normally that many doubles is easily a over 100 score. Real close to taking the next step to better scores. Drives and second shots are what I need to fix. For the first round of the new season pretty pumped to have played that well.

So…I’ve averaged 2.1 putts per rd over the last year and averaged up and down with my wedges 70%. So that beats long drives all day.

Wife and I are going to get a season pass again, to the same course as last year.
91 was my best round. Sounds like you are playing now the way I am hoping to play by years end.
Yeah my goal is to break 85 on this course by years end and it is a super narrow, hard angles, difficult lies course with tough putting greens, they’re pitched and slow which is very very difficult. Shooting <85 is easily breaking 80 on most average courses. I was very close to shoot less than 85 yesterday with the first rd of the year but had 5 holes on the back side I got doubles on. Had 3 pars on that side so easily could have shot a low 80’s score. Just topped some second shots, hit one bad drive. It was right there in front of me. I’ll get it this year eventually.
As long as you enjoy yourself let the score happen. Golf is a game, and should be fun. It’s a social event. Swing freely and unencumbered. Let go and laugh heartily.
Absolutely. Played really well just had a string of poor shots on the back side but hit way more great shots. Felt much more in control. Looking forward to taking a big step forward this season.
Sounds good. Met some friends of my sister’s at dinner last night. They brought their 14 year old daughter with them and she was quite shy being surrounded by a bunch of adults. Then I mentioned I lived on a golf course and she lit up like a Christmas tree. Turns out she’s very into golf and has had instruction for 3 years. Started showing me video of her golf swing and I groaned. No way I could achieve her finish position. I’d lose my spleen. Gorgeous swing. She and I jabbered away most of the night.
