Kiddo has no school today, some type of teacher in-service day or something. I dunno, but we’ll take advantage of the day & add some fish or some pheasant to the freezer. Hopefully both. Biggest challenge is the wind. They say we don’t get hurricanes here in the Dakotas, but the insane wind ‘round here these past couple weeks makes me wonder.

Went to a great Halloween party last night. About a ten couples, and all the girls were former competitive fitness queens like my wife. All of them showing their bodies off too. I was standing in the kitchen with a few of the guys and I said “I’ve seen more clothes on women in a strip joint” which got a laugh. These folks were all about 30 years younger than us, but we seemed to fit right in. I was the only Vikings fan, and I took some ribbing on that. Of course the World Series was on too in the background, which I didn’t watch. Three of the guys had money on the Dodgers though, so they ended up happy.
Looks like we got a game 7 Sat Night.

I am more concerned with what his ‘snap count’ looks like, how long will we have him out there. Of course pull him early if we are getting ‘beat like a redheaded stepchild’.

I saw snow fall once growing up there and it didn’t even last to reach the ground. My Nana (Grandma) never saw actually snow until she visited my brother in her 90s.
Many of my neighbors have never seen snow either.

I was reading about Mike McDaniel potentially being fired, and I saw that he was considered a minority hire when the Dolphins made him HC, I must say, he is the whitest looking black man I’ve ever seen

It should be a good game, I feel like we will win. We are about as healthy as a team can hope to be. The only person that is not playing this weekend is Fries, which I don’t think he will ever play again, but I could be wrong.

JJ McCarthy has never lost a football game in Michigan. I expect that trend to continue.
You apparently didn’t get the memo…
So lots of people say lots of things to get fans stirred up. The fact is McCarthy is completely unproven in the NFL, has never carried an offense with his brain and his arm, and in fact, his teams have carried this “winner” not the other way around.
I will be ecstatic if McCarthy develops into a really good NFL QB. I don’t know that he will though.
You should tell the Ravens to pack it in as well since they’ve only won 3 games including last night.

The Ravens have shown us who they are. A sub .500 team. The fact that their starting QB was out doesn’t mean anything. King Henry, meh, more like King Friday.
I don’t think I would want us to play the Ravens with our defense.
Well, it’s gonna happen anyway. They looked beatable to me last night. If the Dolphins weren’t so inept, they would have went into halftime with a lead.
Did you see our defense against the Chargers. Who’s going to tackle Henry. or Lamar for that matter.

Gink’s back, Greenard is getting healed up. Henry doesn’t look as explosive. Lamar could be a problem, but none of their receivers are that scary.

Yes, if all the players on the team or in the business go in the opposite direction than the leaders, they won’t be successful, but the most talented team, business or sports will not be successful without good leaders. I don’t disagree. He’s using an unrelated post about business management from Fran to somehow say that JJ McCarthy has never won a game in his life because football is a team game. Sure it is, but saying that JJ McCarthy never lost a game in the state of Michigan is still accurate. He just has to stick to his schtick about QBs being meaningless a a tiny cog in the big machine so he can protect his cousin.

Haha! My wish above is not a little ask. Lions defense is good. I don’t want our young QB to look overwhelmed like he did at times in the early games. I also don’t want him to let a mistake or two cascade into a catastrophe.
