I know it is late in the day, but since we will probably keep this thread for tomorrow, I’m going to go ahead and ask this question.
Yesterday at work a colleague ask me a question via Teams chat and I answered, “No.” She is 28. She responded, “Why are you yelling at me?” Now first you have to understand that we get along well and she was being funny, but when I asked why she thought I was yelling she said that younger people take the .(period) after a comment as passive aggressiveness. Apparently when you message or maybe text, you must not be able to use punctuation? Like I said, we get along well so I of course then responded to her, “No!” We then proceeded to spar with sarcastic gifs.
Has anyone else heard from younger people that a punctuation mark after a brief answer when you are messaging or texting is yelling? Kids are messed up.

Yeah I sometimes have weird interactions at work. It’s well known in the hospital that I like chocolate cake with chocolate icing. A group text got sent down to radiology from acute care that one of the new nurse grads had passed her boards and they were having a party to celebrate. Said they had chocolate cake and everyone should come get a piece.
I replied, “I would love a piece” and sent this gif of Ryan Reaves happy after a goal.
Ended up getting called to HR. Man young people are sensitive these days!

Happy Anniversary to me! 38 years today. I’m surprised she hasn’t killed me yet.
Congrats. Did she plan anything special? I have been married about 21 years (give or take). First wife died of cancer. Anyway, my current wife, and best friend, forgot our anniversary one year, so I am off the hook for the rest of my life. But we will celebrate it in 3 weeks….
We did not plan anything special. We went to a funeral (not mine or hers) and then she went out shopping with our daughter. We are very relaxed about birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Congratulations VP! Wife and I had ours little over month ago, 5/27. 26 years for us, easy to remember, married in Vegas. Stayed 3 days, over 100 degrees every damn day.
Thanks. My wife went to Vegas once with her sister, but I’ve never been. We want to go there together to see some shows. We aren’t gamblers so that part will be not for us.
We didn’t gamble much, not into it. We spent one whole day visiting Lake Mead, and Hoover Dam. I still regret not doing the “hard hat” tour at Hoover Dam though.
If we go to Vegas, I do want to make the side trip to the Hoover Dam also. The wife may not be thrilled because she already did the that trip with her sister when they were in Vegas.

What does a red card mean?
The guilty player (or coach) is immediately ejected from the game, the player is disqualified for the next match and the team cannot put a substitute in for the player.
There are a few reasons for a referee to issue a red card
-violent play
-a second yellow card in the same match
there are more but those are the two big ones

Re: My bees.
My bees have become legion. Added a second deep/brood chamber three weeks ago and now there are 140,000 cells within the honeycomb with a raging commerce in birthing, storing pollen, and storing honey. Gone are the care free days of casually stopping by and popping off the top sans protection to see how a few thousand calm bees are doing. Now there are upwards of 50,000 bees in a constant frenetic traffic jam within the hive, and ready to ruin someone’s parade that annoys them or threatens to steal their larder. Although lately when I approach I get this strange buzzing in my head, faint notions of running through the fields collecting pollen from flowers on my hairy body, climbing up through the maze of the interior hive, having the pollen delicately groomed from me by lovely nurses, only to repeat again and again and again and again day after day, with nights spent building more comb always more comb…work work work susurration…
So, when is the MT Super Vikings All Natural Organic Honey going to be available for purchase?
It truly is amazing watching these insects work. Converting pollen and nectar into honeycomb, propolis, royal jelly, honey (and more bees). The experienced beeks can tell a lot by the noise and smell of a hive, and I am starting to see what that means. There are happy hums and angry hums.
Is there are predominant plant (flower) that the bees target in your area?
One of the many fascinating things that I have learned about bees since deciding to keep a couple of hives (which will probably balloon to 5 or even 10 in the not too distant future) is that their value to agriculture is their tendency to practice flower fidelity, in that a single honeybee will only visit one type of flower each trip even if other promising flowers are nearby. They learn the most efficient way to enter the flower and collect nectar so just hopscotch from one flower to another of that plant. The bees back in the hive reward the workers (feeding them) bringing in the choicest of pollen and nectar for their needs at the time and that causes the whole waggle dance and more foragers going to specific flowers. Therefore, the plants benefit as all of their pollen gets disseminated all over the field. Once they’ve exhausted one source, they move on to the next. With 50,000 foragers or so they are always finding different plants to pollinate unless you live in a desert.
That’s why professional beeks take their hives to the almond fields in Cali. Requires at least two hives per acre and the pollination increases the yield of almonds by about 100 times over other natural pollinators like bumblebees and the like that just visit random flowers.
Some people have an eye for what the pollen is in the comb. All I know is I never see my bees working any of the flowers in the ditches at my place, they seem to be going in different directions every time I visit. They will travel up to three miles or so as needed.
I did plant pollinator friendly wildflower seed in a dozen old tractor tires and that is close to producing flowers, it’s only 20 yards from the hives so hopefully I’ll get to see them visit those flowers.
You should spread some sanfoin seed. It will bring every deer for miles to your place too.
