- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.

Watching Ancient Apocolypse, this is a really good series.
Is that what they are calling Dodgers/Yankees now, Ancient Apocalypse?

I always wanted to hate this guy but never could.
The enemy of my enemy is now my friend.
I’m confused… am I a deplorable, or am I garbage?
You’re a deplorable, nazi, piece of garbage. I might actually get a shirt made with that one.
And Trump arrived in GB in a garbage truck.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Freaking awesome
You just got to love Trump…
I wonder who PA news people want to win the election?
This was broadcasted live on TV.
Shocking eh?
https://twitter.com/BasedTorba/status/1851586061333344334
The “tests”, “errors”, and “glitches” always only go in one direction. Coincidence, I’m sure.
Of course.
Just like the “glitches” by big tech only seem to happen against one side.
Damn, remember the good old days when the press at least “acted” like they were unbiased.
I love scam e-mails when the person can’t even understand the English language and spell.
I blame autocorrect, automatically.
Vote early and often-Dims.
I think putting anybody in jail for marijuana is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard. Therefore, I’m voting to legalize. It was made illegal, using no scientific basis for that decision, keeping it illegal is an exercise in utter stupidity.
alcohol is far more addictive, and far more harmful, and it’s not even close.
Alcohol very bad driving but cannabis bad too. Keep in house.
I agree that impaired driving is bad, no matter what the vice.
That said, I have never seen a super high guy get full of rage and wanna kill someone. Usually they either fall asleep or laugh it off.
Booze? rage inducing. Sometimes that is fun (football games, etc) as long as the rage is non-violent.
research suggests otherwise, alcohol is by far the most impairing drug when it comes to driving.
I’m pretty much what anyone does in their home (not killing beating etc) alcohol, marijuana is OK. In public, like drunk and disorderly, not so good. If marijuana would also cause that kind of behavior, not good either.
Don’t like the smell of tabacco around me, so probably not other type stuff.
YUUUUUUUP
Yay, they gave me a sticker
And you have plenty of forehead on which to put it!!!
Yeah, they never told me where I was supposed to wear it. That place had the most real estate so that’s where it went.
It got some chuckles on my way out, and it also pissed a couple people off. Mission accomplished.
The big debate today on your football site was pro vs anti pot. Which way did you vote on measure 5?
I voted to legalize, I explained why above.
I’m a firm believer in freedom.
Me too, but I voted no…can’t stand the stench in public places. I would vote yes for gummies only.
Yeah, I shouldn’t be forced to breathe in others’ smoke, just like cigarettes. Do it on your own property and don’t drive.
agreed. Second hand smoke is terrible. I will probably die of lung cancer from working as a bartender in the 80’s, long before they went smoke free.
Is that distracted driving?
I was stopped at a light.
That is one ugly bumper you put your sticker on.
Agreed
That sticker has a Brad hanging from it…..
Damn, that’s funny. Hanging chad, hanging Brad.
Annual election period is coming right up and do you think I can understand the differences (specifically as they apply to me) between an HSA and traditional plan. Bunch of gobbledegook. You’d have to be a doctor to understand i….scratch that.
Come on MT that one is easy…especially if you are in the Medical field.
But let me help you, since you are a man of means you might as well go with the traditional plan and not mess around with the HSA…Do you really need an opportunity to save more money for your golden years.
You may think so but the in-network and out of network charts for physician services, lab/x-ray, and prescription drugs reads like War and Peace.
I am having an HR rep call me on Friday. I was actually thinking of trying an HSA but realize that if we end up paying more out of pocket it will be my ass in a sling with my beloved.
Most relatively healthy folk come out slightly better with an HSA, it does incentivize you to not use the medical system, however. Do you really need to go to that urgent care clinic with that 102 fever? Probably not.
Saw splash trade tied to Robinson. Serious? Seems a depth piece.
Polarized country. Nov 6 and beyond will be interesting. Keep your powder dry.
Personally I feel safer here in a reliably red state.
If Cackles wins the country will suffer but I hope to be able to ride it out.
And we have enough space here to take in some family if it gets too bad where they are.
Idaho should be fine…not sure about ND….the succeed from the union folks could get pretty vocal.
80 yesterday, some snow tomorrow. WT……?
This site is garbage!
So is the team the last two weeks.
So the Vikings were just collectively showing their support for Trump? I am suddenly happier about the last 2 weeks.
This season sucks. And after a few days off I can articulate what is most frustrating for me.
Pre season, I predicted 8-10 wins, and that could still very well happen. I bet the over when it was 7 wins. I did believe the defense would be improved, and that they added better talent on that side of the ball.
JJ got hurt. That put a damper on some of the hope and hype.
Then, the defense (and Offense, but mostly Defense) fell short the last two weeks.
Team looked completely unprepared in that second quarter vs the Lions. After a bye, that is not acceptable.
I turned off the Rams game as soon as Darrisaw went down. No reason to watch what was imminent at that point.
The defense misses Cashman more than they should. Depth on both sides of the ball is still very much lacking.
My biggest issue is that the team cannot turn to JJ if Sam flounders, or keeps taking sacks on 3rd down. There is nobody better at QB on the roster. Mullens sucks.
So, while I feel the season is doomed, and the team was not going to win it all this season, the 5-0 start gave me a severe overdose of Hopium. (far more dangerous and evil than booze or weed). I expected to see JJ a bit this season, at least in November/December if the game was out of reach either way.
I will watch the first half Sunday night, and probably go to bed at halftime unless they are actually playing well.
I had picked the Vikings to win in the pickem challenge that I am failing at.
Once they announced Flacco is starting, I went and changed it to the Colts. Flacco is another Goff/Stafford type that is accurate if given time, and handles the blitz pretty well.
Since I am wrong a lot, maybe the Vikings will win.
Still salty about the shit effort on Thursday.
Yes, they should really start a federal campaign against this. Well, I think the current administration is already doing that.
yep, the defense has been shit since cashman got hurt
Trump should go work with a garbage crew for an hour. When asked what he’s doing “according to Joe and Kamala, just picking up my voters.” Then take the garbage truck to a polling location.
What I don’t understand is why no one has mentioned the basis of that joke.
Puerto Rico has a problem with trash, their landfills are overflowing on it’s leaking into the aquifer. That is what the comedian was joking about.
It was a bad joke that got turned into a political talking point, I get that. But you would think at some point that PRs trash issue would be discussed.
Can’t address the real issue until after the election. I like how trash was so deplorable yesterday that CNN said it was so racist they couldn’t even play it or say it on TV, but now crickets.
I don’t like Biden. I really hope Kamala loses the election. That said, I would put money on Biden being the one who read the teleprompter/script wrong in that Zoom call. I bet the script was that “supporter’s” was referring to the comedian (the next line was “his demonization…”).
Obviously the take is wrong either way, but I would bet Biden’s handlers went into damage control (again) immediately after hearing his reading of the script.
All that said, I could certainly also see “supporters” being the actual thing written in the script and then the fake spin by media.
https://www.fox9.com/news/minnesota-voter-fraud-woman-voted-trump-dead-mother
All voter fraud is bad. In person, with ID, counts done on the day of the election. Mail in for those abroad, mainly military, and early in person have their places but it’s gotten out of hand. Pretty soon we’ll be voting with an app.
You saw what happened in Arizona in 2020. Machines ‘broke’ and people were standing in line for hours to vote, some gave up and left.
I agree with IDs, but early voting to reduce pressure at the polls on election day is not a bad thing. Lots of ballots mailed out with ‘harvesters’ is just asking for fraud.
Agreed. This is the thing. Voter fraud is wrong no matter what. But whatever means used to reduce it needs to make DAMN sure that doesn’t become a means for voter suppression.
Citizenship verification on a government issued ID is not suppression. Everybody has an ID. For states that gives IDs and DLs to non-citizens, then the ID simply needs to say they are a citizen.
The Democrat talking point/virtue signaling will not die. Personally I liked Wesley Hunts (R Tx) reply to the situation.
Damn. He is a bit riled up.
I like it.\
Poor ass people who have lived basically a nomadic and chaotic life lose those IDs. Many times it was lost by their parents because they have had a shitty life and up-bringing. This isn’t hard. I have lived in very impoverished communities have you? Many of these people don’t have their government IDs even from growing up. But they still deserve to vote. If you support 100% voter ID, WHICH I DO, but not at the cost of having it be a tool to get rid of millions of impoverished voters. We need an agency to go to every person who had payed taxes or has a social security card and to go them, physically and offer them an ID. Now no system is perfect. People who live off the grid or deny the ID, I guess that’s on them ya know? But it’s an incredibly ignorant stance you have and I mean that not in a mean way but also in a sincere way that you do not understand how these folks in very rural and poor areas live. They are still Americans, and still deserve to vote.
How about this, any place with a voting location also to have a place to get a voter ID? I am not against voter IDs, voter fraud is obviously wrong.
Saying people are members of society and don’t have some form of official identification is the ignorant part. I’m fine with the government providing IDs. You literally can’t survive in today’s society without ID unless you’re an outlaw off the grid type person. There is not a bunch of people so poor that they don’t have ID or access to one. That’s just ridiculous.
No one is holding them back from getting a new ID. What you describe is whats called a “you” problem. No person or Government is preventing them from voting. They are preventing themselves. And no person or Government is going to hold their hand and make them get off their ass to get another ID. You are using other peoples own incompetence are painting it as a directed oppression that simply does not exist.
Yep, by the same logic, people deciding not to vote is actually voter suppression because they weren’t drug to the polls or didn’t have a ballot delivered to their house and transcribed. There really should probably be an app so I can just vote from my house without any login either because expecting me to get an email address to sign in with would be suppressive.
FYI….
Biden and the dems claim voter ID is racist.
Biden goes to vote, has to show an ID and sign a piece of paper.
Its on video from Monday.
Why is he not outraged by having to do this? I had to show my ID.
The answer is that Delaware is solid blue.
It’s only bad in swing states.
Its all about committing fraud for Biden and the dems.
And that is the ringing truth!
I’ve never voted in person. Not once. Trust me, though, I have voted in every single election I am eligible for since I became a citizen in 2002.
Interesting, I just checked how it would work if as a Canadian citizen (which I am) I wanted to vote by mail. The internet has made the process easier. To review, I voted in person at the last Canadian election I was eligible to vote for (1990). Until I became a US citizen in 2002 I did not vote in any elections, US or Canadian.
As it turns out, I could have (and could continue to) vote in Canadian elections. My vote would be cast in the riding of the district I last lived in. I just need to submit a form and:
As I was not born in Canada (West Germany), I would show #2 – I tossed my expired Canadian passport a long time ago.
I gotta say, the trade with the jags is another good move by kwesi. He’s only 29, with 91 starts under his belt. This will allow us to keep our depth along the o-line also.
Not sure what we do with him in the offseason. I suppose he’s just a short term rental.
Yeah, he’s in the last year of his deal. If they weren’t going to likely be big spenders in free agency next year he would lead to a good compensatory pick.
I have heard speculation that he might be worth a 4th round comp pick which is what we likely have to end up paying for him.
Others have stated that we all the cap space next year and few big money free agents coming up we likely won’t get any comp picks in 2026.
Yeah, he would be but I expect them to spend pretty big next year unless they use that money in house, but they really don’t have a lot of guys to extend. Greenard and the Ginkster would be good options, but off the top of my head I can’t think of too many others that are due for a new deal. Sam will get a big deal somewhere if he gets them to the playoffs, if. I’m curious to know the playing time stipulation in the pick compensation.
It will get cancelled out by FA pickups in the offseason, so we are downgrading future picks a bit. Not knocking the deal, but people thinking we are getting picks back are most likely wrong.
One year contract, Vikings will let him walk and recoup a compensatory pic and put darrisaw back in, good move
Yeah, I realize he’s a rental, but to find a plug and play tackle at week 9 when your all pro goes down is amazing.
Find me one any person who said, “voter fraud is impossible” and I will show you someone who is a stupid person. Regardless of party. Also, no one has said voter fraud is impossible. Just more exaggerated speech to further divide us.
That’s an exaggeration, but there have been plenty that have said it doesn’t happen. Other than it being racist, the only other argument against voter ID is that non-citizens don’t vote so there’s no reason to ensure non-citizens don’t vote. That’s like saying you don’t need to have your fishing license on you because nobody without a fishing license goes fishing.
People have said it hasn’t been to a degree that has actually affected the election but literally only very stupid or ignorant people have said it doesn’t happen and literally nobody ever said it’s impossible. This is just more super divisive speech and if you don’t call it out and buy into it then you’re part of the problem.
All manner of voter verification should be implemented. 1 illegal vote, for either side, is 1 too many and to say it’s not enough to affect an election is disingenuous and simply an attempt to let it happen. Voter integrity should not be a partisan issue.
Here’s the thing.
There is no citizen that doesn’t have access to an ID. ID requirements don’t keep people from buying alchohol, tobacco, etc. so how is requiring an ID that says you are a citizen voter suppression? Yes, 100 illegal votes in one county statistically doesn’t make a difference, but enough small “irregularities” makes a big one. A small pebble doesn’t make a big splash, but lots of small ones do and every American should be confident that the numbers from the election are 100% legitimate and accurate.
This ^ > Plain and simple. Have some form of valid ID. If you don’t have that, then you aren’t a functioning member of society and you arent putting the work in to get one or be in a program that gets one for you and frankly, you not being able to vote isn’t a bad thing.
You are wrong. Absolutely wrong. You and I both know in small rural towns especially that 68 year old Gladys born and raised doesn’t need an ID to buy shit. There are tons of small rural towns where people don’t have IDs to live life or they had a driver’s license and it expired. You and I both know or if you don’t know you are being naïve… that when you implement these ID laws they will make damn sure there are NOT places anywhere near all these rural towns and farm lands for people to get IDs. Many of these folks don’t have the means to drive miles upon, miles, upon miles to get an ID. They might have an old beat up care to drive a short distance to the liquor store or whatever.
Put your money where your mouth is. Either support that we have a government agency that makes damn sure coast to coast that every person is given the opportunity to get a free license if you support these voter ID laws or just understand you don’t actually support true election integrity because you support voter suppression.
So Gladys has managed to live 68 years and never purchase anything or drive a car in a rural town? You need an ID to do more than buy alcohol. The only way to live without an ID in the current world is to be completely off grid so it would actually help the Dems because the crazy right wingers who don’t trust the government wouldn’t be able to vote. I’m fine with government supplied and backed IDs which happens most places. You literally can’t live without an ID so to say people can’t get one is just ridiculous.
Yes, or her license had expired and she doesn’t have a means to drive to her nearest DMV to get it renewed.
You can live without an ID. You absolutely 110% can. I am not saying it’s right to or correct. You can drive with out an ID too, It’s not legal. But you can do it. You are very naïve/ignorant about his topic.
So she doesn’t live in a house? Gotta have ID to buy or rent a home. A homeless person can still get an ID. An address isn’t necessary and there’s not a lot of homeless people living in the boonies outside of a town with access to a location that would issue an ID since, you know, you’d be illegally on public or private land and it wouldn’t last. I’ve interacted with people from all walks of life and the only people who claimed to not have ID did in fact have ID, they were just shit bags trying to hide something. Even an expired ID if issued by the government is sufficient. Pretending there’s a bunch of people running around as legal members of the US citizenship is the naive part.
I don’t think we’re disagreeing here really and you’re just looking for a fight. The odds of somebody going through life without a form of identification and wanting to be a member of society are so ridiculously small it’s stupid. To go through life without identification would take an amazing amount of effort and would be somebody who doesn’t want to be part of society and therefore would not vote anyway. They can’t manage to get an ID, but they’re going to be able to get a phone, TV, have a job, buy food, get to a polling place, etc?
And, it is not voter suppression, if you choose not to get an ID to vote.
Good point.
Boom, end of argument. Also Edge’s examples of people not being able to vote are like less than 0.5% of the population. Im more worried about the other 99.95% that are able to vote.
Stuck listening to her should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.
I’d rather be water boarded than be forced to listen to her. If they played her over the loud speakers at Guantanamo the UN would be all over us for war crimes.
Are they climbing into the rally or trying to get out?
Sounds like the rally is still going on don’t know why they would lock the gates.
They’re trying to leave
That is what the story suggests but it is the ‘election season’ so all ‘news’ is suspect.
Sounds like there was a bunch of Antifa outside the fence so they shut the gates to keep them out and locking everybody else in so they started climbing the “unscaleable” fences.
They looked like a bunch of young, collage aged voters. If they went into the rally why would they leave while it was still going on?
Seems more likely they closed the gates and late arrivals wanted in.
It could be either, I don’t know, I just don’t trust the news either way.
No they had free concerts before hand like they always do to bake it lol like people actually care about Kumala.
A little long but it is a bit reassuring if its not smoke and mirrors:
https://www.si.com/nfl/vikings/reactions/matthew-coller-brian-flores-is-preaching-patience-with-rookie-dallas-turner-01jbencabjh5
If posted before my bad
He’s young and just can’t get the playing time right now due to the situation we have. He’ll get his reps eventually and hopefully turn out to be a good pick.
Yep. If they didn’t have the depth they do he would be playing but they are in a nice situation where they don’t have to play him until he’s ready and understands Flo’s complex defense.
Do not enter the men’s room at the back of the Sioux Falls Walmart on the east side of town. Someone in the stall is either dying or giving birth.
I have not heard huffing like that since someone handed Artie Lange a tube of airplane glue…
Heh. I have asked my wife if women make noises like that in the public restrooms. She only relates malodorous encounters. It’s almost routine for me to hear someone dying when I go to a public restroom.
As a medical professional do you feel obligated to ask if they need help to not die?
Haha -NO!
The Teacher often complains/vents about ladies restrooms.
She is convinced that they have to be nastier than men’s rooms.
I know men’s rooms can be pretty nasty but I don’t want to get into a detail discussion about what goes on in each one.
Women’s are worse. Ask anybody who’s ever had to clean bathrooms. My only experience was at a bowling alley in high school and “getting” to tag along with the guy cleaning the outhouses on the National Forest, but I’ve never heard different.
Huh, I just posted my comment at same time.
I have some experience on this issue. As a college student I worked a summer maintaining the grounds of the soft ball complex. This included cleaning the bathrooms.
The Teacher is correct. The ladies restrooms were usually much more disgusting than the men’s restrooms, although neither were pristine.
That surprises me, as any woman I’ve ever known has kept their personal bathroom like a showroom. I love the, “MT, come here for a sec” when my wife is in the bathroom. When she says my first name like that, it is always something like – look at your sink, look at the mirror, look at the floor.
Rank has its privileges, I always use the WC in the doctor’s lounge at work as no one else seems to use it and it is always spic and span.
The Teacher says some women don’t want to touch anything in a public bathroom so they will just ‘hover’, do their business and leave, no clean up, no flushing, no anything.
Personal bathrooms are different of course.
Ha! East Side Wal-Mart? You are 10-15 minutes from where I grew up, just east of there. How long you in the Sioux Falls area?
What you should have said was, “Wild, I was just there, had a big Chipotle cleanout.”
I went to a Thai place last week and lived dangerously and got more spicy than I usually do, I was feeling adventurous. It was SO good but it was a struggle with the spice level. It cleaned me out the next day lol.
You guys ever have a moment of shock before you remember you ate a plateful of beets the night before?
Not beets, but I was concerned for a minute the other day before I remembered I ate a bunch of wild rice.
Reminds me of an old joke about a tapeworm and a lemon cookie.
When I had my first issue with my blood pressure what prompted me to go to the doctor was a pissed a LOT of blood one morning at work, then slowly throughout the day there was less and less. Then when I went in the next day there was no sign of blood but my blood pressure was 215 over something else also ridiculous I can’t even remember.
do not enter Walmart, period, the end
WalMart is the last store I would even consider taking a shit in. You see the people that frequent there? Now picture their bathrooms…yeah..nope.
Thanks Ben!
We’ll be voting today or tomorrow. I spent several weeks going through the ballot and researching all the candidates for all the races, the State Constitutional Amendments, etc. We discussed everything, and my wife and I are ready to vote. We have several NPA candidates for local positions we like. We don’t just check one parties candidate.
Go to your duty! We are probably voting Friday.
Not that anyone cares but I am voting against legalizing pot in ND. If it were gummies only I might vote for it, but I can’t stand the stench of pot in public areas….No thank you.
Sounds racist to me.
Thank you for pointing that out to me. Due to my white privilege I often don’t recognize when I am being racist. Of course voting against smoking pot is racist since we all know that nearly all people of color smoke pot, at least that’s what I learned from Harris.
You are missing a huge opportunity to cash in on pot.
Harris said she has money to give to pot entrepreneurs.
Initially, it was only for black entrepreneurs, but now it’s for all.
They will make sure it is primarily funneled to blacks since they think that’s all black people know how to do.
That’s a pretty picture 😊
White privileged geezer…..
The argument I hear for legalizing pot is that it will generate Millions of dollars in tax revenues for the “community”. I heard this same argument for the Casino’s in Maryland. In the end, we had more people who are broke because they got addicted and spent their life savings in the Casino’s, and all the new schools, road improvements, etc never materialized. When you “legalize” something based on a pitch that you’re going to make money on it, you need to be careful. Legalizing pot means one thing. More people will be walking around impaired. That’s it.
And driving and there is no good way other than SFST’s to test for drug impairment while operating a vehicle.
What is SFST?
Standard field sobriety tests (walk and turn, one leg stand, eye test)
Agree, more intoxicated people in society, don’t need it. More kids with stoned parents, more school bus drivers just a “little” high etc. etc.
I disagree that more people will be walking around impaired. I think that the majority of people that want pot legalized are already indulging in it.
I can tell you from experience that they most definitely will. Now that it’s legal, the softball fields for example smell like Jamaica. That wasn’t the case a couple of years ago.
On Monday, I thought we had a skunk outside the hospital. One of the technologists went up to investigate and someone was smoking pot near the intake for the air handler.
Similar story, wife and I were out to eat one evening a while back. As we’re sitting at the bar waiting for food it started smelling skunky. Kitchen staff outside sneaking a puff by the fresh air intake. On a side note, food was nothing special and we haven’t gone back.
Not the worst of smells, but I’m biased.
Yeah, that’s why they make skunk scented candles.
I really don’t give a damn, but I’d rather not have to explain it to my 7 year old.
I’m with you there, keep it away from kid related activities and children in general. Gotta be 21 to buy in any legal state, the way it should be.
People should have the freedom to indulge if they choose.
Will it be abused? Sure. Any mind-altering substance has that potential.
On the Pot Legalization, the libertarian in me thinks it is terrible to allow booze, and not pot. No question in my mind that Pot is less damaging than booze.
Yes, I partake of gummies in MN since they became legal, but I voted yes for legal pot every chance I got prior to it finally passing.
As for bringing in revenue, who cares? The government will always find a way to steal more money from people that work for a living.
And, they will always find ways to spend more money then they bring in.
Totally agree, pot is definitely less harmful than booze. If I can walk into a store and buy a bottle of 100 proof booze, (that could kill you if drinking whole bottle in short period of time), then I should be able to buy a joint legally also.
While I agree with you, there are definitely people out there that think that pot isn’t dangerous at all. I have a friend who claims that “pot has never killed anyone – there are no documented cases of it happening”, which is just dumb. Maybe the drug itself doesn’t generally kill people, but being high while doing stuff or making decisions has definitely hurt/killed people. Just semantics.
I don’t use either so I have no opinion on that part of the argument, I do think I have a competitive advantage with people abuse either.
Having grown up with an alcoholic father I am no fan of booze, pot seems like a crutch.
Disagree on semantics. People do stupid things while sober and while intoxicated.
While people are more likely to do very stupid things while intoxicated, the government already allows booze. There is no reason, other than control, as to why Reefer Madness and other propaganda hit, and why the drug is scheduled the way it is.
I can drink my self to death.
I cannot smoke myself to death(Never tried, and do not care for smoking weed, but I do like edibles).
I had unlimited access to weed when growing up, since my father was a hippie. I tried it a couple of times, and it just made me sleepy and very relaxed. I preferred booze instead as a teenager.
As a 61 year old, being sleepy and relaxed is amazing in the evening after a long day.
It also helps a lot with the arthritis pain.
If they suddenly outlawed it in MN, I would just get it from the local teenager off market.
I’m just saying it has its dangers, not that it is totally inert like some people seem to think or claim. It also causes lung cancer, like cigarettes (although likely not as bad, again).
I agree about the cancer aspect. Although I do feel the additives in cigs vs rolling your own joint are a very big reason for tobacco issues being worse than weed.
Again, I like gummies. If I do ever decide to inhale, it would probably be a dry herb vaporizer so I am not getting anything except the flower ingested, and it is vapor vs smoke, so less toxic.
Still bad, but less bad.
Like an ice cream cone instead of a half gallon in one sitting.
Ha, I would never trust getting any drug from the local teenager or anyone these days. Fentanyl changed the game. Can’t trust what you’re getting anymore so that’s why I think weed should be legalized federally. I’ll trust the dispensaries that has the inspected and tested stuff.
Very good point. For now, I think the dam has burst, and there is no going back.
I will continue to happily enjoy my MN Nice gummies when I want to relax or if my arthritis is acting up and I want a good nights sleep.
I feel all drugs should be made legal.
That worked well in Washington (Oregon?).
It worked out great in China, when they had an opium issue.
China all but eliminated their opium issue by legalizing it. They had spent a fortune on policing it and decided to legalize it. The caveat was if you used opium you either had to go to treatment or you were basically left to die.
Yup, that worked so well in Oregon…. oh wait.
Maybe if they signed a waiver saying that my tax $$ will not go to medical/substance abuse mitigation. I don’t think I should have to pay to house/feed people who choose to destroy their own minds.
Yes, you do exactly that. You get no government funded healthcare for drug related ailments.
Now that’s just heartless and racist.
Yes it is, and I am ok with that.
I guess people who feel that way can donate their hard earned money to charities that feed and house addicts.
That’s not the way it works. Everybody chooses to donate by paying taxes. It’s called being socialist, I mean neighborly.
Doubt many people ‘chose’ to pay taxes.
They might not mind the more logical uses of the tax dollars but the government goes way bast ‘logical’ far too often.
Include food and housing as well.
They are drug related as well.
Yes, including housing and food. If you want to take drugs that may ruin your life and possibly kill you, you will be left to die. This includes all drugs, including the ones that are legal now.
Geezer…..
I knew that would “smoke” out a comment from you!
There are only a few states that allow it in public. Most states that legalized don’t allow smoking in public. I have no idea how north dakota has worded the specifics about it though.
yes, but I have been to Denver and Baltimore, neither of which “allow” smoking in public but the downtown areas reek of pot.
Wife voted last week I’m going in person next week – old school. Just sort of feel more patriotic. I know, I’m crazy.
I have always voted on election day except when I was stationed overseas.
Even if I just drop off a competed ballot at the polling station it was on election day.
Think we will vote early this year, figure us old timers should do what we can to reduce the lines on election day so that working voters don’t get frustrated by having to wait for hours to get their vote in.
Good morning you big pile of purple garbage!
I really don’t think anyone has a good idea of who is going to win this election. The mid-term polls under-counted the Democratic vote by about 4 percent in the swing states. If that is the case right now The Cackling Communist wins in a land slide.
If, however, the Polls are accurate then the Aggravating Asshole wins in a fairly tight race.
I don’t think it’s even about the polls.
I think there is a groundswell of support happening.
Carter and Reagan were tied in the polls, the final week of the election.
Don’t forget we don’t know how big the cheating machine is going to be
I don’t discount it.
But Trump isn’t stupid.
I’m not sure he lets it happen a second time.
Forewarned, no RINO as RNC chair (daughter instead), lots of poll watchers, lawyers on standby.
Yep, less shenanigans this time around. Of course less does not mean zero.
The Supreme Court just said Virginia can remove self pronounced non-citizens from their voter roles. How on earth did that have to go to the Supreme Court?
‘How on earth did that have to go to the Supreme Court?’
DOJ sued to stop Virginia from removing them less than 90d from the election, was 86.
Virginia said that law does not apply in the current situation.
Thought the SC just put a stay on the current situation and will rule on it soon? If effect the state can keep this ballots from being included but it isn’t settled yet.
It just removes them from the voter role, but if they are citizens they can still register and vote. It will not keep any citizen from voting, merely unregister non-citizens and the Dems are fighting it. I wonder why?
How much money do you suppose we the taxpayer paid for this decision?
The way the US administers federal elections is just AWESOME!
Like I said, removed the stay.
The court case/lawsuit may be resolved after the election making the point moot. Or it could be resolved prior to and the SC make have to rule again.
How on earth did three justices disagree?
The 3 Liberal Justices, voting their politics.
Yep, legislate from the bench
And don’t forget it’s already went through 2 or 3 courts that said VA couldn’t remove self proclaimed non-citizens from their voter roles.
Yeah, and the R’s are seriously out performing the D’s in early voting, but how much is that cutting into election day voting? I’m dropping off my ballot for the comrade this morning, but I usually vote early. Plus, I’m in Montana so my votes are really only important for some initiatives, which I hate. They put major, serious initiatives on the ballot, obviously written by a liberal and word them to make it sound like a great idea and 95% of the population is too stupid to actually research what they are voting for.
think your vote important in the Senate race.
Possibly. What little I have heard about polls is sounding promising but I’m not going to get happy until it’s a done deal.
It does sound promising, but I am like you, not counting my chickens. Voted yesterday as I am leaving Friday to visit new grandkid. Wish daughter waited till after hunting season, I still have a cow tag to fill.
Big difference between mid terms and now.
Looks like re-arranging the deck chairs on the OL is in the works.
Haven’t seen this approach work in decades for the Vikings.
Why wouldn’t they play the new guy?
Because he is new to the system???
Even though he is a veteran, expecting him to get up to speed on all of the line calls in 4 days is asking a lot.
That being said, if we are in obvious passing situations…i.e. end of game or end of half, wouldn’t mind trotting him out there. Looks like he is pretty good in pass blocking.
Think maybe someone in the huddle can quick translate the play for him?
“This is a run around the L end, seal your guy.” type of thing????
Probably not. There’s a lot of calls made at the line and it would be especially problematic if the other team was showing blitz, etc. I’m not sure how similar of systems he’s played in previously. He’s been around long enough and been good so I think he’ll pick it up quick. Whether or not he can pick it up by Sunday, we’ll see.
I think stunts and such would also cause problems with a new guy installed. Same issue with Risner replacing Ingram, but Risner has been around longer so a smaller issue I would assume.
I believe this is before they announced the Jaguars trade.
SoCal – this is what I meant last night about Brandel not being the answer……
Brandel being an option was just clickbait IMHO.
Simple answer was to instal Q and maybe add a TE to assist when needed.
Vikings not paying the full amount of his salary.
Amount TBD….
Was hoping this was the case.
Otherwise we would have roughly zero cap space left.

Biden: “his supporters are garbage”
I’m not sure he could ever do anything on purpose at this point.
“Never underestimate Joe’s ability to eff things up….”
-Barack Obama
The funniest part is that there is a real debate as to whether or not the sitting president intentionally undermined his VP’s presidential race or if he is too cognitively deficient to realize what he said. Neither is really a great option.
Can’t he be both? Which would be my guess. If Harris loses, would bet a lot Biden will be out there saying they should have left me on ticket.
I mean, I could see Biden being pissed about it all.
It’s in him to be bitter.
But to actually do things, on purpose, for Trump to win??
I think his hate for Trump is bigger.
Yeah, I think he’s spiteful about being taken off the ballot but his legacy, whatever it is, is tarnished if she loses, but if she loses he gets to say “I told you I was the only one that could beat him”.
Certainly true.
He will revel in the “I told you so”
True.
Could be a little of both.
At least Kamala is addressing it and saying he was wrong….
Good morning, FTP & FT*!
SKOL!
Happy Hump Day!
I like the move to bring in a somewhat adequate replacement for Darrisaw, shows that the team believes in themselves and is not about to quit yet. We’ll see how it goes, but they at least are seriously trying. Good.
Also, FIRST.
