Hmmm
Twinkies score 7 in the top of the 10th inning to win 11-5.
Interesting extra inning game.
Team to reckon with. Watchout.
You forgot the Sarcasm Font.
Think on your knew handle. SoCal ain’t right no more.
new.
Thinking NLSCMF.
LOL
Maybe Blue Heaven?
Land of famous potatoes guy.
Red River Valley in ND claimed that they provided the ‘seed potatos’ to Idaho.
Not sure how true it was/is but when I was there visiting in-laws had to dodge taters in the streets while jogging. They would fall off of all the trucks hauling them thru town.

Since you are now free from Cali, go with “Free Bird”.
Scottie wins again!
Shot 74. Had some lip outs. Dude is pretty good.
Sunday Salutations Skolskis!
Watching NFL highlights on YouTube. It’s my happy place.
Just watched a 30 minute video of the greatest NFL runs.
The Garrison Hearst walk off td against the Jets was a thing of beauty. Might be the best run I’ve ever seen.
Less than 2 months until the HoF game – which means we’ll be knocking on the door of real foosballs shortly after that.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Update:
Earl Campbell might be the most punishing runner I’ve ever seen.
More than one defender getting tossed and trampled. Several more making business decisions and getting the F outta the way.
Also forgot how good sticky icky Ricky was after so much time off the field. Still has the greatest live performance I ever saw live: Against Nebraska in Lincoln on Halloween and he ran for over 125 yards in the 4th quarter – Huskers lost but I remember the entire crowd (including myself) staying after the final whistle and giving Ricky and the Longhorns a standing O when they came off the field. Most impressive performance from an opponent I’ve ever witnessed live – just ahead of watching an unknown Daunte Culpepper take a lead into halftime (eventually losing) and being the best player on the field and lighting up a Nebraska defense loaded with NFL talent.
Marshawn Lynch made a run against the Saints in a playoff game and I believe he ran over nine different Saint defenders.
Yup. BeastQuake. I remember. He also had an equally if not more impressive run against the Cardinals a few years later.
Another relaxing Sunday
Nice.
What beach you at?
Henderson state park in Destin, Fl
Could tell by the color of the sand and the water you were on the Gulf side. Great beaches.
That is a beautiful beach, just down the road from us.
Twins lose 5 straight. Lose 2 shutouts to pirates. Maybe they should try T-ball.
@sorry I was busy out of town and missed it@
Hope MT’s Oil win, guessing he’s jacked up.
Twinks on verge of 2nd shutout to average Pirates, can we please have football?
Read online a WW11 vet who lied about his age at 16 to fight. Said “I feel like a foreigner in my own country and i don’t like it”. Think i know where he’s coming from.
World 11? Most have missed the last 9
The one after one.
WWII?
Get a job!
Great response. When you get our age the youngsters need to show a little respect.
No respect in this country anymore. Society, if you call it, is a cesspool.
Things i hear i think the D is going to be pretty good on 3 levels. Perhaps hopism.. If the O can carry there share. Looking forward, anything but the Twins.
Honestly, I think the D will be taking another step forward. The running game might be better too (how much worse could it get?) and maybe even the kicking game is on the rise. For the first time in 6 seasons, we go into the year with a huge question mark under center, and by default, the passing game.
Stable round from Scheffler. Hovland imploding.
Not to be argumentative but I think passing game will be OK. We might lose a little, but KOC runs an offense to pass the ball. I mean Mullens did OK, just to many turnovers.
Until I see us improve at run blocking, think that’s still and issue regardless of the back. And still not sold on the defense against experienced Qb’s that can read defense and blitzes.
I get you JR, but as I see it, there isn’t a QB on the roster that is anywhere near Cousins level.
Unless KOC changes his ways, we’re going to see a lot of bad offense this year.
Any worries about Flores?
I like Flores’ scheme. He attacks the offense. When you play that style though, there is always going to be places left uncovered on the field. If a QB guesses right enough he can burn you. But I think Flores makes QB’s nervous, and I like that.
I like aggressive too but we did things last year I couldn’t understand.
Eagles – started with lighter personnel to stop off tackle runs. Eagles started running right up the middle in second quarter. we never adjusted and they ran us right out of the stadium.
Then against Chargers tons of zero blitzes but played our DB’s 15 yards off so easy quick 3 yard pitches giving up 20 yard gains. Gave up over 400 passing yards. Again, no adjustments during game.
Later in year, like Bengals, we played with like again 15 yards between second and third layers of defense. All crossing routes wide open and no adjustments.
Chiefs – would probably double Kelce at goal line, but we had no one.
again, aggressive is good but it must be accompanied by a good scheme and player discipline. Some of this is talent, but some of this is coaching.
You aren’t wrong. There are reasons we got run over, up the middle by the Eagles. They knew their O-line was gonna truck Dean Lowry over and over, and we had decided to go with small “athletic” LB’s. They just trucked them too. Hard lesson there. Teams with good O-lines and blocking tight ends will truck your front seven if your LB’s aren’t thumpers. There are lots of reasons you play “off” coverage. Primarily it’s because you can’t match up well due to speed issues. Also if the opposing team likes to run a lot of verticals. Playing off, and blitzing, in general, forces the offense to throw a lot of quick, short passes. Sooner or later the defense feels like the QB is going to make a mistake with an overthrown pass under pressure.
Running game should be better, Jones is a huge upgrade if healthy. If the defense is healthy they should be much better as well.
Agree. Zimmer would be doing flip-flops. Run the ball, play defense.
Israel pulls off a rescue of 4 hostages held by terrorist hamas, yet Briben, the UN, the media and the rest of the world demand Israel make peace with them?
Ridiculous
The story is about the 55 people the Israeli’s killed and hundreds of people they injured in the raid.
Sounds about right in todays world.
@Israel should be happy hamas fed them and kept them alive over the last 8 months@
Mean, hateful ole Israeli’s… killin all those innocent terrorists.
Israel is at war against an enemy that wants them completely destroyed.
June 6th just passed. can you imagine if someone even dared to our guys then ‘don’t hurt any civilians as you wage the war.’
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse.”
Hiroshima was war. Today’s woksters would have us lose another million solders/marines and Japanese combatants i guess.
The quote uses ‘ugly’ – interesting. For a society to lose it’s ‘will’ to fight when necessary is certainly a grand weakness, but wouldn’t necessarily use the word ‘ugly’ – kind of worse than that to me.
This the most important bit…
“As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other.”
Hamas is about as unjust an entity as there is.
Anti-Israeli people can’t see very far in front of their faces.
That’s great – I just meant it is beyond the word ‘ugly’ to me, far worst. Can’t think of a better word right now though.
This was written by John Stuart Mill in 1848. I’ve never considered a different word for ugly, to tell you the truth. War is indeed an ugly thing. As ugly a thing as I’ve ever seen in my life. It reminds me that the there seem to be no limit to human brutality.
Just me – I use ugly as sort of an appearance thing. War is indeed horrible and the lack of will to fight is a real lack of character.
BBC reporter, ‘why didn’t you warn the Palistinians about the raid so they could get the ‘civilians’ out.
IDF Spokesman, ‘because they would have just killed the hostages, kind of defeats the whole purpose’.
The lunatic left press, at its finest.
Looks like Cousins returned to Minnesota for his youth football camp last night.
Had a strong turnout too.
Kirk’s a great dude, gods for those kids
Always like to see our top players “growing the next generation” and being great examples to them.
Made it to Idahome safe eventually.
The Teacher got a ticket for doing 85 in a 65 just before leaving Calif.
She called it a ‘parting gift’ for us.
Then she ran into road construction 3X, the type where you have one lane each direction and have to wait for the Pilot Car to come back around and ‘guide’ you though.
So between it all it cost us an extra hour or so, then unloading the CRV and winding down, got to bed about 2am.
Met with the neighbor on one side, discussed cutting down a tree right on the property line causing damage and splitting the cost. I will talk to the gardener we have been using while we were ‘absent landlords’ and see if he wants the job or if not if he can recommend someone.
Ahhhh the joys of home ownership.
LOL, yeah 85 in a 65 is pushing it. I try to max out at +5. You made it, most important.
She was doing 75 and came over a hill and got to 85 before she slowed back down, out in the middle of no where 100 miles from nearest town. Probably why the CHiP was there.
He understood and only ticketed her for 75, said he would not have stopped her for that. It will cost her some $$ and time doing ‘On-line Traffic School’ and it will never make her driving record or reported to our insurance.
glad you escaped
You should make a movie “Escape from Cali”.
Glad you got out.
Your wife is my kind of women – moves fast.
screw the ticket, you’re in Idaho now amongst the strong, brave and free.
Less than a month to go and we will be here full time. There will still be plenty to do but we will be doing it here in ‘His Country’ and not in Crappyfornia.
Happy you got out of there alive!
Made for a long day, but we have a week to recover before heading back.
Then the final, organizing and packing before the movers show up right after the 4th of July.
Watching squirrels….🐿️
Not the worst way to spend a weekend afternoon.
Happy Saturday Skolbros!
Careful, could lead to this….
That was awesome.
I also really enjoy watching squirrels – especially early on Sunday mornings during football season before games. They’ll use the power lines to get across 13th street and it’s crazy how fast they can navigate and adjust from power line to tree to building and back.
Growing up, we went to our cabin in western WI on the weekends. We would sit and watch squirrels leap off of limbs trying to get on the bird feeder. My parents tried to move the feeder as far away from tress as possible, but the squirrels would always attempt to get on them. Watched plenty miss, only to try again later.
Last fall during deer hunting, I was watching some squirrels. They were having a play fight (maybe they were siblings). It was amazing how they could maneuver around a tree without falling.
Should have put a bed of nails under it and you could have got dinner.
QOTD. – as an optimist with flashes of realism, I cannot answer.
Hint – I’ll take a sweep.
Oops – meant take a split.
Since we are going 20-0, that means we are going to sweep everyone.
Good morning SKOL!
FTP!
No sweep. I just hope that we don’t get swept…
McCarthy and Dallas Turner still haven’t signed their rookie contracts with the team. Seems odd, but it is becoming the norm now for the Vikings. Stretching contract negotiations out.
As an aside, NFL rookies must have signed a contract in order to show up and participate in training camp. Rookies can attend a minicamp or organized team activities without a contract, but they are not allowed to be part of training camp while still negotiating with their team. Looks like something will get done in the next 55 days. No way the Vikings let the rookies sit out training camp. Right?
17 first rounders have NOT signed yet. That’s half.
It’s not odd.
Its normal at this point of the off-season.
Actually it’s 12, and two are on the Vikings.
That said, six of the top ten picks have yet to sign, so perhaps it isn’t that odd at this point as you said.
I first looked at CBS but found one where 13 are unsigned, so I was wrong trusting CBS.
I don’t think it’s a big deal until training camp.
Off season drama not much else going on.
Mostly.
If we get to July 25th and they haven’t signed, it might be worthy of a debate. Even then, rookie contracts are slotted and mostly predetermined.
Not a debate, just something to talk about. I also found an article that said McCarthy’s agent was Joe Burrow’s agent, and he didn’t sign his rookie deal until 28 July. So, he has an agent that will also take his time.
17 first round picks unsigned as of Friday, nothing to worry about, contracts are set by draft spot.
Hey Ben, it’s actually 13 unsigned as of 7 June. I miscounted my first go around. Here’s the data source:

Sweep? Not likely.
Only 3 months until the real games begin!
I want it to happen!
