Was beloved by the troops, and he as genuine an American as I’ve ever seen. He met with us, hung out with us, and then made us cheer and sing our guts out. Tremendous person. Definitely a great loss, way too soon. RIP.

I can so relate.
My family has been in California since 1781, leaving was not easy. It just needed to be done. We have planted the seed for a few family members to join us, hope it works out.

Spencer Lee won the NCAA Wrestling Championship after rupturing his 2nd ACL in 2021.

“I mean, eight days ago I tore my ACL in my other knee. I’m wrestling with no ACLs,” Lee said on ESPN after the win. “Whatever man. I didn’t want to tell anyone, because F excuses. Excuses are for wusses.’

That is some toughness that is hard to ignore.

Yes to nailor, Wilson, fat punter, if Smith wants to come back affordably yes but seems like he’s retiring, otherwise no real interest, maybe pace on a minimum deal he’s still a good ST player and decent backup, i guess Wentz if they can’t land someone at backup that has actual upside.

If the Falcons designate Cousins a post June 1 cut on March 12, here’s what happens:

Cousins becomes a Free Agent, He will immediately become an unrestricted free agent, able to sign with any team early in the free agency period.

Retains Earnings: He will likely collect a $10 million roster bonus that vests around that time.

Offset Clause: Because he is being released, any money he earns from a new team in 2026 (up to $10 million) will be credited back to the Falcons.

Finally, releasing Cousins means the Falcons will not have to pay Cousins the remaining $67M on his contract, due in 2027. They will still incur dead cap hits in 2026 and 2027, but no money will be paid to Cousins.

With all this in mind, Russini thinks the Vikings might try and bring Cousins back. I personally doubt this. I think the Vikings will go with McCarthy and Wentz for 2026.

Never worried JR. Haters gonna hate, and they are of no concern, nor notice to me.

BTW, Rickey hit his second shot on the par 5 thirteenth hole to 6’11”. He started on the back 9 at 11:30. He made the putt, and is 2 under through his first 4 holes, and 5 under for the tournament. He needs to shoot 7 under or better today in my opinion to be in the mix tomorrow. Moving day!

Hopefully not ‘Interesting’ like the ‘Hindenburg’ but aways with the Vikings you have to ‘Hope for the best but expect the worst’.

Doubt Wentz, they can do better and will likely try, Kirk will depend on if he’s wrong to potentially be a backup or demand to be a starter, not sure on that.

He did. The Sonny vs Billy “duel” was legendary. Kilmer took the reins over Jurgy in the end, and many folks questioned that decision by George. Allen just didn’t like/trust Jurgensen’s high-risk style and preferred Kilmer’s conservative play and reliability for his “Over the Hill Gang”.

I guess there has been several Vikings players saying the team would have done better with Sam this year. Some pundits are saying stupid things like McCarthy is gone. McCarthy will return for the 2026 season. He’ll be the starter. Wentz will probably be the backup.

I’m sure you caught the tongue in cheek there. Our starting QB has started 25% of his first 34 games. Running him out there without a safety net (give Wentz credit for toughing it out but he’s no safety net) is the best option to see a wholesale changing of the guard and drafting a new QB in 2027. That is why I would love that.

It has to do with the uniforms. Larger crotch on the suit makes it more ‘aerodynamic’
So they add ‘things’ to their crotch when being measured for their suits. Evidently it can give them up to 10 feet on their jump.

Free agent guard Mike Conley Jr. plans to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The sides are working on the timing of Conley re-signing, according to sources.

Conley began the week as a member of the Wolves but was traded to Chicago as part of a three-team deal.

The Bulls quickly flipped him to Charlotte in a separate deadline move. The Hornets then elected to waive the 38-year-old. Because he was traded a second time before being waived, he is free to sign back in Minnesota.

It was a better night, woke up about 3am shivering. Got a heavy blanket and wrapped up like a cocoon. Then some diarrhea this morning. So I guess I am better than I was but not ‘all better’.

Still have no appetite. The Teacher made some soup and grilled cheese last night and just sipped some soup and took one bite of the sandwich.. Have not eaten anything yet today.

Compared to yesterday I will take today all day long.
So on the mend (#nojinx) mostly some lingering symptoms.
Reading up on Norovirus it sounds like a have a mild case. Had something similar about 8-10 years ago that was much worse.

I haven’t been sick much in the last couple years. Knock on wood. I try to eat a lot of citrus. I love oranges, tangerines, and mandarins. I also like bananas and apples. So I get some good fruit in me pretty regularly. Nothing like a bowl of frosted Flakes with banana slices for breakfast.

Burrows is a dream acquisition that likely will not happen.
We probably have to settle for 2nd or even 3rd tear QB that hopefully KOC can make serviceable. ala Sam and Jones.

Mac seems capable, our offense does not need a whole more to be effective. With our Defense an ‘effective offense’ would make us a contender.

Its not so much Mac its what SF would want for him. He’s not worth 2nd or 3rd round picks and a top 30ish WR (talent wise). Also Purdy is also injury prone which means they value Mac a lot as a back up, their price is going to be stupid, I just know it.

I believe the Vikings will move on from Hargrave, Allen and Grenard due to the salary cap. Restructures are possible.

Hargrave and Allen didn’t live up to their contracts.

Hope that can restructure with Grenard, he is worth keeping around IMHO.

There are a few quality NT in the top half of the 1st round. Hopefully we can get one and then a quality DB falls to us in the 2nd. I am a bit gun shy about 1st round CBs for some reason.

After shaking things up by firing general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah on Jan. 30, the Minnesota Vikings reportedly are not as tied to J.J. McCarthy as they previously were.

According to ESPN’s Kevin Seifert, “all bets are off” regarding McCarthy’s future as the Minnesota’s starting quarterback in the wake of the change at general manager.

As for who the next general manager could be, Seifert noted it is “striking” the number of people in the NFL who think Mark Wilf and Zygi Wilf, who own the Vikings, will go after George Paton.

Paton is currently the general manager for the Denver Broncos and under contract through next season, but prior to taking the Broncos job in 2021 he spent 14 seasons in Minnesota’s front office.

Simple answer. No. He’s awful. He puts very little effort into playing in the NFL, he doesn’t study film, he’s relied on his athleticism and big arm to make occasional WOW plays but he cant run an offense for shit.

Had a rough night/day. I started to get chilled about 9pm, by 10 I was shivering. Then a round of diarrhea, went to lay down, threw up for awhile. Started to feel better by 3am and slept ok.
This morning started out good, then started the chills again. Took a hot shower, laid down for a nap and I just got up. Feel pretty good right now but don’t know how long that will last.
Food poisoning? Flu? CoVid? Getting old/older? The Teacher has had no symptoms so far and she ate pretty much what I did. So far it has been not fun.
Not eating much currently, mostly fluids and some dry/bland nibbles. I would like to think I am past it now but then I though that this morning, then the chills started back up.
Was at the Gym yesterday and I felt I was getting more tired than usual. Didn’t eat much new stuff, had a Raspberry Fritter for Breakfast but that was more than 14 hours before symptom, had left over pizza for dinner but the pizza didn’t bother me Tuesday night.
Well still above ground thanks for letting post this update, so I can work thru any possible causes I will keep anyone updated in case they care.

Things I almost never eat. I don’t expect to have this ‘bug’ long enough for those things to get into my system and do any good. But thanks for the suggestion.
I am hydrating, not losing much fluid due to ‘front and back door runs’ just trying not to make anything worse at the moment.
The biggest problem is that The Teacher cancelled going to ‘Melania’, not a bad thing for me but it is something she wanted to see.

Better make it quick. It was only suppose to be showing for a week here. Then after it’s popularity it was extended a 2nd week. Not sure if it the same where you are.

We were going to go Tuesday but they only had single seats left. It is playing in a small theatre here, only about six rows. I guess they didn’t expect it to do very well.

Been going for over a year, first time this has happened, not sure the gym is to blame. The Army kept me fit before that, at the prison I had to do my own program due to schedule and no facilities near me.

Won’t be back until Monday now, giving me a few days to recover.

Idaho has been rated high for Flu for a few weeks now.
We have been avoiding crowds of people, but I have not been anywhere The Teacher hasn’t been.
I am good ‘taking one for the team’. If I get it and she doesn’t that seems like a win-win to me.

You also mentioned KOC being HC and GM. I like KOC as a coach but also thinks he is still learning at that and taking on the GM role would be too much.
