- Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.

I am so GD happy that foosballs is back…..
I’m the dumbest man alive
I have moments when I can claim that title.
Sometimes I think that the few times I do something right are only lucky accidents.
What makes you dumb?
how can we help?
I have no clue about women
That doesn’t make you dumb. That makes you a dude. Anyone who says they have a clue about women is lying. Including women.
lol, that’s true, but if a woman is clearly hitting on you and you don’t recognize it you’re a moron
That happened to me, but way back when I was in high school. My brother had to clue me in, but by then it was too late.
I doubt it….
That sounds ominous.
Happy Sunday

RIP Big Pussy
RIP, even though he was a rat!
I’m in a gauntlet fantasy league.
32 teams. Draft started Wednesday.
I’m closing in on my first pick.
Could be tonight or tomorrow.
12 hour time frame to make a pick.
Finally picked.

Officially cut the cable cord today.
went from $280 a month to $140 a month.
YouTubeTV
YouTubeTV has pretty much all I need/want on it.
The Teacher adds others and then drops them occasionally. I don’t even know what other services she currently has subscriptions for.
We’ll see.
im sure one day I’ll want to watch something that’s not on YouTube.
There may very well be something worth watching on those different streaming platforms. None that I am willing to pay extra for though.
I would assume Amazon prime from some of your other comments.
I miss the $35 per month I used to pay for YouTube TV.
It used to be a good deal. Now, with that plus the streaming serviced we keep, I am paying the same.
I need to convince the wife to only have 1 streamer at a time and cycle. Instead we have
Netflix
Apple TV
Amazon Prime
HBO
HULU/Disney
Paramount Plus
Sad…..
I cancelled peacock without telling her, and HBO as well. But last month she went to watch HBO so we have it again.
We have Netflix and Prime.
After being at the Boise State Field last night I remember the great game/finish that they had with Oklahoma in the ’07 Fiesta Bowl. So I watched this clip and saw that the Sooners OT touchdown was made be some guy named Adrian Peterson on a 25 yard run.
Fantastic game/ending.

25 years ago today.

Tragic.
RIP Big Guy.
Helluva football player, great guy, RIP
Went to a ‘Banana Ball’ game at Albertson Statium on Boise State’s Blue Field last night.
Pro’s: lots going on, highly athletic, lots of music, lots of kids dancing, got choked up when they had their ‘Banana Fosters’ moment honoring Foster Parents and kids.
Con’s: HOT- was 103 at the start and didn’t get below 100 for about 2 hours, confusing rules, we were in center field so a long way from the action.
Conclusion: Glad we went one time, next time we will watch on TV.
90 sec video.
What is it?
Link had nothing about it.
Baseball reimagined as entertainment, party, event.
Saw this clip and got interested a few years ago, this was our first chance to go to a game.
🤣
Here is the whole game from last night, it was on ESPN.
It is a 3 hr video but you can skim around and get the gist of it.
Or you can read the dry Wikipedia explanation.

Might be good that they want to one up each other.
Maybe McFragile motivates himself.

Vikings @ Giants
I miss these two young ladies doing a happy dance.
The Gif never shows up when i search for it.
It’s under sixt
Have looked before and that one wasn’t there.
It is probably a ‘me problem’.
JJ will be the guy at the end of all this.
I’d like to be paid $1M to be someone’s motivation.
There is a reason he lost his job and his former team is still paying him. That is why i cant understand annointing him as the de facto starter.
Well JJ has sucked and has been injured.
Murray has had way more experience.
Murray will be the week1 starter.
Im hoping JJ gets a shot at some point though.
I would agree with that.
And I think all Vikings fans want that.
Dude hasn’t even been available for an entire season yet.
But..
Is the FBI still peeking?
I would go Vikings/Sea Chickens after the Walsh miss in the playoffs at home.

41-0
And I was likely silent for the entire 2nd half as well.
Oh No Romo !!
Since I only watch games on Mute I have no idea if his initial hype was justified or if the later rounds of distain are?
Maybe someone could enlighten me.
He was pretty good actually and this suspension has more to do with his DUI than his on air performance.
He was good for the first year or two.
I think he sucks now.
And his leave is 100% due to a DUI
My grandmother also went to Washington during WWII, she built planes at Boeing for the war. Many great women stepped up to support the war effort, RIP to a great lady.
RIP to a great patriot and a tough lady.
Respect to her and your Grandmother. Heros!
I am officially getting old, I have to hold the newspaper, documents, phone away from myself to read them. Welcome bifocals!
I got “computer glasses” which are essentially lineless progressive readers, and love them.
I’m debating getting a bifocal in my safety (leaded) glasses. I can still read what is in the medication bottles that the technologists hold out for me to verify before I draw up the medication, but I cannot read the expiration date, especially on the tiny bottle of methylprednisolone, so I have them read the expiration date with their youthful eyes. I can see some inspector having issue with that. It doesn’t help that the procedure rooms are in a constant state of low light levels.
I would get headaches from too much screen time. Blue Blocker glasses have helped with that.
Time for a medical procedure…..
Started using readers (1X) at around 58, with blue light filtering. Almost 63 and have graduated to 2x.
Prescription glasses incoming soon I imagine. I can still read street signs far away and see the TV fine, but I am finding my self wearing the cheaters almost all day, even to read a message on my phone.
I’ve had glasses since the second grade. Quit your whining.
I’ve had them since first grade

Maine Senate Demorat has kids with his partner who is his 2nd cousin.
News story uses a picture of Cousins.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!
https://twitchy.com/dougp/2026/07/31/senate-candidate-troy-jackson-is-trying-to-change-the-subject-to-susan-collins-but-x-has-other-ideas-n2430816
Using Cousin’s picture for a story about having kids with your cousin is comedy gold.
Additionally, Vetting is an actual thing.
‘Some’ believe that running terrible people is ok as long as they win.
.
Call me dumb but is marrying a second cousin illegal? You share great grandparents or about 3% of your DNA. Seems rather moot.
On a tangent, I was reading a blog where people were having the big TDS at the thought that a drivers license was insufficient ID to vote. Um…duh?
Pales in comparison to Tim Walz wanting pedophilia legalized.
1st cousins = bad.
2nd cousins = not as bad.
‘drivers license was insufficient ID to vote’
Several states give drivers licenses to illegals in fact Commiefornia has made it illegal to ask for an ID to vote in the state.
Well I just know for a fact that for the first 12 years I lived in the US I had a driver’s license but was not a citizen. Obviously you have to have a license to drive, it has nothing to do with citizenship. Now, my latest renewed license I voluntarily provided by citizenship information so it is marked as such so I’m not sure that’s acceptable.
I have no idea why so many people don’t have passports.
PS once again I will advocate for elections to be administered by a federal department. This state to state variation is monkey poo.
I don’t have a valid passport, mine expired decades ago.
My Military ID is executable 99% of the time and is a ‘Real ID’. Had to show birth certificate and all the rest when I renewed it a few years ago.
Most states do a good job but like with most things there is always a few ‘bad apples’ that screw it up for everyone else.
I have no need for a passport. I never plan to leave the country.
Not even to go to the 51st state??
If I want to go to a foreign country, I’ll visit California.
Same difference.
I have mine, I got it years ago for my first mission trip, done several more since. Also went to Mexico for vacations a few times during winter.
Last time I went to Mexico passport was not required.
When traveling in Europe/Asia while in the military and under orders the military ID was accepted by all.
Interesting.
My father emigrated (alone) from Wales when he was 16. Worked odd jobs in Canada until joining the military at 18. He had already been posted to Germany once when he met my mom, I was born there the second posting.
It was only on the third posting to Deutschland in ’76 that when he got his marching orders they added that he needed a passport to board the (military) 707 to CFB Lahr. July departure and he submitted his application in March, but accidentally listed the reference (that was supposed to be some respected member of the community) as a teacher rather than a professor. This delayed his passport beyond the travel date.
Thus when we arrived in Trenton Ontario after flying from Edmonchuk they did not want him to board the plane but were perfectly fine letting my mother and I board with our Canadian passports.
Quite honestly, that is weird to me. Not weird to you, I understand, but weird to me.
How do you feel about the illegal just arrested with a CDL, while driving an 18 wheeler whose name on his CDL was “No Name Given”?
Well the Illegal didn’t know it said ‘No Name Given’ because he couldn’t read/speak english.
2 reasons – they cost a lot, and they’re only necessary to visit other countries – they come in handy for proving citizenship, identity, age, etc, but other cheaper documents suffice
Current stat – only 30-40% of Americans will visit a foreign country in a given year
3rd reason – certain people in America would have to leave America if they tried to get one…….
Like a certain Representative who married their sibling to gain “citizenship” and now represents one of the worst states in the nation?
“one of the worst” – cmon dude you need to spill which state you think is worse? To me, it is 1, 2, and 3.
I think the top 3 or so are all in a tie and it depends on the day. At least California has mountains. I hear western NY is ok. I’ve been all over MN and there is nothing there worth noting in a positive, so maybe, even with family still there, I’d say MN is the worst there is.
I would disagree, California is worse ( although Walz tried to catch us up). My brother moved back here form Cali last year, and it wasn’t for the weather.
Can you name a single good thing about MN or a reason why somebody would move there other than family?
Well, I’m in southern Minnesota, so fewer crazies than the large cities, just rocks and cows. But to your point, unless you have family or a job offer, or like lakes, I guess there is not a lot here that you couldn’t find elsewhere.
Summer are nice, fall is awesome.
Rest of the year sucks.
Fishing is good.
But at least she is good at math, net worth got huge shortly after she was elected. Then they started looking at the fraud and she made it shrink to almost nothing.
$165 isn’t a lot when I see the frappe latte mango jumbo drinks people buy every day.
I see it being tricky for people that have different last names than their birth certificate, like men who take their wife’s last name. Having a passport would take care of that.
orrrr…..you could have a federally administered election process.
Point taken.
I enjoyed collecting stamps when I had mine, it was occasionally difficult because I was military as well, and they didn’t want to go through the hassle of stamping a passport when they could just look at my USAF ID.
They just discussed this on a radio show I listen to. They found that it depends on the state. Some states actually allow 1st cousins to get married.
Oh, I thought that picture was used because of the Packer player in it.
LOL
Good point….
My DIL was in a freak accident on a jet ski, this past Sunday. She is okay now, had a couple of surgeries, and will need another in a few months. Will be in the hospital for at least another week.
We have been taking care of our 6 month old granddaughter. It has been fun but it is amazing how she can tell something isn’t right. I think my voice may sound a lot like my son so she hears me and looks and then realizes it is not her dad and starts to cry.
Hope she heals back to 100%
Well, my daughter cried and screamed every time she was left with me when my wife stepped out to run errands.
Glad she is on the mend.
Oh man, I hope she recovers fast. Prayers.
Yikes. Fun toys, but always the risk….
Hope nothing too serious.
Can you do video chat for the baby and mama?
Got my AC (and furnace!) replaced yesterday. Sleeping with air conditioning is a blessing I took for granted. I haven’t been without AC at night (other than camping) since I lived in Colorado in 2008. My goodness.
Now that that is fixed, expect record cold temperatures for the month of August!
of course
Just in time for the heat wave to pass.
you’re welcome!
it would have continued if I hadn’t gotten mine replaced
My electric bill thanks you.
Eek, we have had temps up to 112 here and it would be brutal on the nights that the temp doesn’t drop below 80 to not have A/C…but we always say oofda remember those warm humid nights in Rochester in the summer. Minnesota humidity adds another layer.
I remember visiting relatives in southern Kentucky in the summer with it’s high temps and humidity. We stayed in the attic of their old house with one small window.
It was bad enough that I still remember those nights 60 years later.
in our more appreciative moments, we kinda felt young again. sweating like the old days!
No need to tell us about your kinky bedroom games!
But ‘inquiring minds want to know’ and all that.

Sounds about as legit as getting permission from the waterboy……..
If my memory is correct, you were/are in the Burnett County of Wisconsin??
Voyager Village, County road H.
You were posting about Hummingbirds.
As a kid we had a hummingbird feeder while at VV and I think it was the Ruby Throated Hummingbird as to what we watched?
Is that the type you were posting about yesterday?
Very close. I was born and grew up in Polk Co. (on the southern border of Burnett Co), now live in Chippewa Co. I have hunting land up and a camper in a campground up in Douglas Co.
Yeah, we now have 3 pairs of the Ruby-Throated Hummers. Cute little things, but FEISTY when they see another hummer drinking from the feeder.
I grew up in Swift County, just north of you.
So you are a ‘Swifty’?
No way! LOL!
Did you see how fat her hubby got after he got that ring on his finger? He looks like the one that got knocked up.
I have not. I’ll have to look at his Training Camp photos, to see if he is in game shape.
He’s in some kind of shape, if you count round. Remember, he does not have pads on.
Oh man, LoL!
Pear is a shape.
I’m in the middle of my gauntlet draft right now.
I will NOT take this fat slob.
Good grief.
Wonder what he’s been eating? nudge nudge, snap snap, grin grin, wink wink, say no more Squire!
That looks pretty lean though. Maybe he’s just working on the dad bod before the dad part.
Sorry, Swift is in MN. My Chippewa Co is in WI – I live about 10 miles east of Chippewa Falls, home of Leinenkugels beer.
I’ve been to leinies lodge a few times. Sucks that the brewery closed. I should’ve done the tour but never did.
Yeah, the Lodge is a fun time. Sucks living 10 miles away and having to pay Import prices though……
