He’s just getting back “up to speed” after his knee injury against the Packers. Also, he’s the second stringer to Van Ginkel. So, unless Van Ginkel goes down to injury, I suspect Turner will just be used as a back-up, and somewhat sparingly.

Rodgers has seen pretty much everything in the league in terms of defense, so I’d expect him to be ready. The question is, will his line and his receivers be ready? One thing about a team that blitzes a lot, they leave holes that can be exploited if the opposing offense sees what they’re doing and have hot reads to counter it. I still think we’re a lot better than the Jets though across the board.

The University of Wyoming women’s volleyball team became the third team this year to forfeit a game against San Jose State University, who has a transgender player in their starting lineup.
Wyoming joined Boise State and Southern Utah in forfeiting to San Jose State, which has Blare Fleming, a transgender female on their squad. Blare has recorded spikes over 80 mph, far more powerful than any other true female athlete. Some teammates are afraid of these spikes in practice, and are in fear of their safety.
In April, the Biden administration issued a sweeping rule that clarified that Title IX’s ban on “sex” discrimination in schools covers discrimination on gender identity, sexual orientation and “pregnancy or related conditions.”
The rule took effect on August 1st, and, for the first time, the law stated that discrimination based on sex includes conduct related to a person’s gender identity.
Furthermore, on August 16th, the Supreme Court voted 5-4 to reject a Biden administration emergency request to enforce portions of that new rule that includes protection from discrimination for transgender students under Title IX.
For a party than tells everyone they are there for women’s rights, and women’s health, their actions and policy sure demonstrate the complete opposite.
This is what all the true female athletes should do…just walk off.

Well, San Jose State responded in a statement to OutKick on Tuesday.
“It is disappointing that our SJSU student athletes, who are in full compliance with NCAA and Mountain West rules and regulations, are being denied opportunities to compete. We are committed to supporting our student-athletes through these challenges and in their ability to compete in an inclusive, fair, safe and respectful environment,” the statement read.

This team is punching teams in the mouth first and thats usually not the case. They’ve trailed for less than 4 minutes of game time all season. That obviously will change. I feel like they can win any game left on the scheduled but I need to see how they handle adversity like being down in the second half of a game before I fully buy in they can go the distance. Either way, Vikings football is fun again, and that’s all that matters.

I don’t think Atlanta has nearly the WR talent of the Vikings. That’s a major difference. Coaching and/or scheme are another.
Again, I’m not going to discuss further because both sides of the argument are making some substantial leaps, but I would argue my comment of Kirk might be just as good (perhaps even better) has validity of being very possible.
Sam has gotten out of pressures Kirk sure as shit would not have every game so far. He has also taken the higher risk deeper throw, as opposed to the safer shorter route. So I disagree (obviously) all around. We lose in GB for sure and possibly to the 49ers with Kwerk back there
You can have your opinion, but the fact is that Kirk beat the 49ers last year and has beaten GB several times, so that is a big assumption on your part (given if we hold that the rest of the team is the same). You might very well be right, but others might say that Kirk wouldn’t have sputtered as much in the second half against GB and we win by 14. Who knows.

It wouldn’t be 40 million I don’t think. It is 28.5 million now dead cap hit, so an extension wouldn’t be 40 million more this year. But yes, we probably wouldn’t have all the players we have, which makes a difference. From strictly QB play, I think it’s hard to say what would have happened, though I am very happy with Sam’s performance so far.

But in MN, the OL was terrible, so ATL should have led to better results for Kirk. But it really hasn’t. Yet.
Kirko is who he is. Solid to good, but the team doesn’t seem to respond to Kirks good play. For whatever reason.
I haven’t watched any of the games, but I saw a Bleacher Report post that Cousins had a 39% pressure rate last week, so I’d say his O-line isn’t doing him any favors. I’ve also read his rookie OC is an imbecile. I haven’t watched any games though. So can’t say definitively what’s really going on.
The Vikings have a very strong team this year. Best I’ve seen in decades, by far. That defense has been lights out, and so has the offense. This team could get to the Super Bowl.

Also, the team overall is improved because of the addition of the free agents. Some of those we signed because Kirko and his money demands left the building. If they had signed Kirk to an extension, the contract carousel would have taken some of the money used to get the team we currently have.
In other words, losing Kirk and getting Sam was a win win for both, and for the Vikings it has turned out to be addition by sutraction.

I noticed today (not that I was spending a lot of time watching her) that not only did she have to look to insert the magazine (vs scanning for threats) but she also didn’t jack a round into the chamber. So essentially the gun is still unloaded.

We’ve played some hard nosed and physical teams and its a brutal stretch. Take care of the Jets, rest up, come back with two weeks to prepare for the next biggest divisional match up at home, and go from there into the “easier” part of the schedule.

Well, my prediction is that the Democratic Party will control the executive and legislative so we’ll see how President Harris and VP Walz do.

Me too…but the tea leaves suggest that the majority of voters are happy with the status quo. Much ado about feelings these days being more substantive than policy.

Speaking of seeds stored up that might be our only source of fresh vegetables if this dockworker strike continues much longer. A rep from the “owners” suggested that ships started queuing up over the last two weeks unable to offload as the dockworkers started a slow roll to ensure we the consumer start feeling the pain as of yesterday.
Yeah, My kids did a good job of eating the tomatoes we grew this year, but I’m up to around 25 jars of pickles I’ve made this fall. I can’t wait to get out of town and have a proper garden. We did good this year with our limited one (I think it’s about 8×16). I’ll probably dig up the potatoes with the kids this weekend.

In 2020, there was a rino in charge at the RNC. This year, Lara Trump is the RNC co-chair. I believe the Trump campaign will be far more proactive in ballot harvesting compared to 2020.

When I plan on watching a game later in the day (like Sunday, no way I’m sitting down with a Manhattan at 0730 in the freaking morning on my day off to watch a football game) I drop off all social media, hide my phone, etc…plus my friends have been forewarned not to mention the game if they encounter me in the store or something unless I give the all clear. Checking the score is to me like cheating on your wife.

I am always fascinated with how humor works among people.
Jokes are amazing things when one thinks about them. Like why is something funny? It is usually because it is poking something.
CONVOY! – Had a spring break trip in 2015 in a fairly rural cabin near Seeley Lake, MT. Had a group of around 12-15 people. Cabin was fairly modern, had power and hot water from solar but no cell service or wifi or anything like that. We used a record player in the second floor bar with varying types of tunes for our music most of the night while we partied, this song to played quite a bit.
A bunch of us guys tried to make convoy the theme of our Jr-Sr prom. we had it all planned out (black runway for the grand march, red flashing lights, etc. )
Needless to say the females in our class were not impressed. We went with Stairway to Heaven.
