He is a rookie behind two vets having a great year, Van Ginkel and Greenard. You cannot sit either of those so the rookie can have more snaps, not in a close game. Jones II is also a quality vet in the room.
Thought he’d give the starters some breathing room but maybe he does suck.
Looks like Jone II is first off the bench, 26 snaps on Sunday.
Figured a 1st rounder would get more snaps. Looks like Cashman out again. They release in and out for tomorrow?
Usually, other than maybe a QB, first rounders become starters or see considerable playing time.
Well, we only traded our second, third and fourth round picks in the 2025 Draft in exchange for the pick used to take Turner in the first round. Would you say that was a great move, based on the return on investment thus far?

They traded 3 and 4th to get to two first round picks so that they could be flexible in getting a QB.
They added the 1st to move up for Turner because they believed he was a top 10 talent that fell due to the run on offensive players.
If he was sitting behind scrubs I would be concerned. As he is learning behind Van Ginkel, Greenard and Jones II I am ok with it at this point.

Even if the starters are playing well, and if he was top 10 talent, it is very unusual that he is not getting more playing time. Maybe he’s got an injury.
Can’t recall, but I’m old, a top 10 defender selected not being on the field, and most are starters.

Flo’s Defense is very complex requiring players to adjust mid-play based on what they see the offense doing.
The fact that a rookie might be slower at that than high quality vets should be expected.
QBs are not expected to be good until their 3rd or 4th year but we have people implying Turner is a bust after 6 games?
No, I think he is hurt. Even if the defense is complex, Flo can put him in and even tell him the defensive call and his role as he goes in. And we’ve had games with big leads late which is good for resting starters and playing others.
Just leads me to believe he has some nagging injury.

Your take is what the pundits have claimed and will claim, but to me it’s not an accurate claim to make.
The purpose of the trade, was to garner an additional first round pick. How it played out is a separate discussion. In the end, the team traded away three draft picks in 2025 and used the draft capitol they garnered in the first round, to select Turner.
Isn’t the point that he was the 17th player selected in the draft, whether you paid two or 15 picks to get there, and he is not on the field playing much.

It might work well for the Brownies but that doesn’t mean it is the best deal (or even a good one) for the Vikings.
If the cost and details are good enough, Garrett would be a good add.

Unless I am away from home, then it has no idea who I am even with name and password.
I always use the ‘remember me’, but maybe my computer is shunning me.

I have an add blocker but never noticed a difference with the sign-in issue.
But then I am a knucklehead after all.
With the Duck, Duck, Go add on, I have to log in every 24 hours and the remember me thing never works because it blocks the website cookies required to remember you.

It seems the daylight hours around here are pretty different from SoCal.
7am was pretty normal for wake up for me going back decades. Especially since I worked the 2-10pm shift at the prison.
7 am here is still dark, I have to force myself up by 8-8:30 or who knows how long I will sleep. Nice to be retired and I can vent over little problems like this.
It gets worse. Got to work in the dark, go home in the dark. Summer is the opposite. It’ll be light at like 5 am.

I lived in the U.P. of Michigan.
It’s partially in the the Eastern Time zone.
You could see the skies getting light around 4am in the Summer.
At least you don’t have leaves falling in your hot tub.
We only had one tree in our yard when we bought the place, although the neighbors tree shades our yard in the front. Our one tree fell this spring in a storm and we are considering a replacement next spring.
Having no trees in our yard makes it much easier to rake up the fall leaves.
We have about 20 trees in our backyard. After raking leaves for 5 hours 2 weeks ago, I was able to talk the wife into letting me get a bagger for the riding lawnmower.
It is amazing how often wives can see past our egos and figure out what we actually need.
Poor GF. Life is hard.
