Welcome to the weekend, this week the Vikings will be facing the Phins. It looks like the Vikings will have to do it without the help of JJettas, P Brent Thorson and DB Chuck Demmings. Hopefully we don’t fall into the trap. Check out the comments section, but remember to respect each other.
Vikings News:
Game day thread will be available at 10:30.
Central I assume??
Happy Sunday!
GameDay! Time for a big win, SKOL!!
FTP!
Every single ‘expert’ picks us to win.
Fins are terrible and just lost their best offensive player/RB for the season.
No single reason for why the Vikings shouldn’t win this game in a cakewalk.
Exactly why this Trap Game makes me nervous.

Gooooooose morning!
G A M E D A Y
Huge home favorites today. Very reminiscent of when we were 17 point favorites over Josh Allen and the Bills – and an Allen hurdle over Anthony Barr later we were Charlie Brown walking home with an L.
My Huskers won yesterday. 5-0 for the first time in a decade. Hoosiers come to Lincoln next week. First real test, and a big one. A year ago we were all-in on Dylan Raiola – Husker legacy (his daddy’s name is on the wall inside the stadium) and 5 star stud who was going to bring us to the promise land. The arm talent was real (seeing that at Oregon right now, he looked good last week) but so was the ego. He bailed on us and we ended up with a transfer portal retread in Anthony Colandrea….
And Anthony Colandrea is a baller….. kid is fun to watch. Mobile. Tough. Live arm and confident – but without the ‘golden boy’ ego of his predecessor. It’s been…. refreshing. Enjoying it now, the B1G heavyweights are closing in: Indiana, Oregon, Ohio State. It’s likely to get ugly.
Love seeing Minnesota beat Michigan. At home. Cool to see something happen that hasn’t in my lifetime.
Jeremiah Smith is the best player in college football.
Really hoping to see a dominant Vikings win today. Mistake free football. Want BFlo to exact whatever revenge he can on Miami. Want Kyler to show something, fast. Want Dallas to continue his rise. Want Hitman to get pick #40. Want. To. Run. The. Ball.
And no GD injuries.
Happy Sunday.

How’s the goose doing?
😆 🤣
Owie……
The Gophers QB training program…
North Dakota St up on Wyoming 20-0 late in the 3rd Qtr.
ND St just held on downs on their own 6 to preserve the shutout.
Mizzou putting it on Florida
Huskers down 9 – 81 yard pick 6 brings them within 2.
LFG
Huge win Gophers!
Aaaaaaand Maryland just went up 10-7 on my Big Red….
they’ve already tripled their score from last week.
Michigan at midfield and turns the ball over on downs.
37s left, Michigan only 2 TOs left.
Feels like ballgame Gophers.
Fans rushing the field, team grabbing the Little Brown Jug.
A very ‘not normal day’ for Minnesota Fans.
Woohoo!
Ben a while since they had the jug, last time was like 2015 when they curb stomped the wolverines in Michigan under Coach kill
Last time they won it at home was 1977.
I was freaking 15 years old.
You weren’t even born.
Enjoy it!
Gophers can’t capitalize on turnovers and a short field.
FGs are ‘capitalizing’, not as much as they would like but they are within 1pt and just got the ball again.
TD after another Int gives the Rodents the lead 20-14.
It should be a rout giving those turnovers.
Should be a double digit lead.
Shoulda-Coulda-Woulda, Minn taking down Mich in any fashion or form is a massive win.
Bigger would be better sure but it is not the main focus for me. Just close it out for the win.
#nojinx
A Pick 6 to go with an earlier Int gets Michigan up 14-7 as they near halftime.
Seems the Rodents can hang with them until they make a mistake and they are making mistakes. Maybe that changes in the 2nd half but I doubt it.
Michigan making the mistakes in the 2nd half, Fumbled punt return and Int get them a FG each. 14-13 now.
Minn strikes 1st, 7-0.
The Center Judge is not ugly although maybe a bit butch.
The sight of her caused me to look up ‘Center Judge’ as I didn’t know what that was.
Google says ‘Center Judge (C): Used primarily in major Division I conferences as an eighth official, positioned in the offensive backfield opposite the referee to focus heavily on interior line play and center-guard areas’.
I thought it was interesting but I am old and retired so I have time to look up random facts that catch my interest.
A. TD.
And no Somalian Gang gun fire.
Good start!
I have the game on mute so I wouldn’t hear the gunfire in either case.
It might be happening a little bit further from the stadium but that doesn’t mean it is not happening.
Minn-Michigan about to start.
It might be interesting as Michigan needed a ‘homer clock’ to beat Western Michigan and Minn beat Washington on the road last week.
I expect Minn might keep it close for a couple of quarters until they remember who they are.
Navy at Air Force is another interesting one.
Service Academies are always special to me knowing what those cadets/players/servicemembers go thru above and beyond being a Student Athlete.
Added bonus I have been to that stadium when I was stationed at Ft Carson.
Saw this on Reddit
interesting list…..
I agree with #1 for sure.
Love Aaron Donald as a player.
but he was not better than Reggie White.
Also, I loved Ronnie Lott. Great player, tough as nails. But I don’t think he was a better player than Ed Reed.
The list….
Lots of great defensive players and fair minded people can find a lot to argue about. Just an opinion, Dick Butkus was the toughest and meanest football player I ever saw. And if I had to pick one guy to cover a great receiver one on one, I’d seriously consider Darrell Green.
And for sure Reggie White was an absolute stud.
Totally agree on Darrell Green. If he had been 6 foot tall instead of 5’9” it’d be hard to argue against him being the GOAT. Great return man, faster than Deion and a way better tackler.
Butkus played with a ferocity that still comes thru on game tape from 60 years ago.
Good morning, SKOL!

Probably the closest we will ever get to winning one.
I’ll take what I can get.
