Went out to the AFB yesterday for our monthly grocery run.
On the way out there we got a GPS message that said ‘Speed Trap Ahead 2 Miles‘. Never gotten one of those before, although it was appreciated.
Once we got to the front gate the SP (AF for MP) who was checking IDs saw my Viking Polo and said ‘Great Game for you guys Sunday vs the 49ers’. I replied, ‘Thanks, hope we can do it again this week vs the Texans’.
Got some great deals as well, make it worth the 150 mile round trip, help that they have cheap gas there as well.
I wondered about that speed trap message too. Last week we were driving to southern Florida and using my wife’s maps program fro directions. We had several trap warnings going down the turnpike – and most were correct. Wondered how the program knew there was a speed trap ahead.
We wondered the same thing, The Teacher said she didn’t know of any way to report anything to them.
Did you get the prompt to let them know if it was still in place?
We also got similar ‘stalled vehicle’ warnings as well.
We didn’t get ‘prompts.’ And we didn’t get any stalled vehicles messages.
The “prompts” makes me think people report the traps and thus the messages.
The Prompts just said ‘Still there’ and you tap it like when you pick an alternate route. If not tapped the prompt disappeared after a few seconds.
No idea how you would make an original report to let them know it was there in the first place.
This is correct. If you are using Google maps there is a button icon you can press to bring up different things to report.
Will have to look for it next time we are out.
Taco Ma is old enough (07) that GPS is not an option for it. So The Teacher handles the display in her CRV since I am a Technophobe.

I believe we have Greenard Cashman and Van Ginkel, They have Hunter, Akers, Boyd and Diggs. So a pretty even swap, quantity wise, I think we have the better players.

We have a Carbones even. We used to go quite a bit but they jacked up their prices and the last two times our pizzas were burnt to a crisp.
Edina has an Original Pancake House. Once in awhile, it is even only operating at 97 percent capacity, so it is only like a half hour wait to get in. At least, that is how it always is when I have been around it.

I finally got to Tobey’s in Hinckley when I went to see my niece in Duluth recently.
They were pretty good. Still think Diamond Dust in St. Peter is my favorite bakery, though.
tobey’s is decent, more of a like a nostalgic “heading up north, get a caramel roll” type of place for me.

Not a lot there beyond Gustavus Adolphus, but it is quiet and nice.
Diamond Dust is actually right off the Gustavus campus. At one point, it seemed like it only employed pretty college girls. Every time I went in there, they had immaculate outfits and makeup behind the counter.
Last few times I have been there, it has not been like that, though.

Only issue I have with replacing him at this point is calling the protection, Sam is new to the Offense and doesn’t need the extra responsibility.
Sticking a new ‘team mate’ in the center of the O-line after they did decent against a very good SF Defense and we need the same again vs Texas could be problematic.
I actually think he has done a fairly good job this year. We could use some help on the right of him. Hopefully Risner will be the answer.
