I spent yesterday taking care of my wife, she had surgery for a torn Achilles. She was kicked on the dance floor at our daughters wedding, and has been nursing it for the last month, while waiting for the surgery.
Still no news on the trade deadline watch.
The Vikings may be the worst undefeated team, but they are also the best undefeated team this year.

My only observation from the FTP game was that Watson goes to the hospital and returns in time the play in the game.
I would have been in ER waiting for 3 hours before even seeing a doctor.
NFL players are more important than average people I guess.

I’ll disagree with you there…for example, just had a 67 yo who fell two days ago and had a mildly displaced 9th rib fx, had a f/u cxr this am which was normal, developed labored breathing and presented to the ED…rpt cxr was obtained within 4 minutes of door time and showed a hemothorax, CT from stem to stern 12 minutes later showed a large hemothorax with increasing rib displacement, and a chest tube was placed 8 minutes later.
Can’t say that Watson got better care than that.
I’m sure the ER has a standard evaluation based on need.

The ER’s where I live have dozens of people waiting.

We moved 9 years ago out to the boonies – each year we set out our pumpkins, a table with a bowl of various chocolate bars and a sign saying “please take only 2” and we take our kids into town where the pickings are much easier.
Each year we come back to a bowl of candy that hasn’t been touched. We even changed the sign to say “Please take only 2 handfulls”
I bought Halloween Oreos even though they’re not individually packaged. Oops! Looks like I’ll have to eat ’em myself.

Detroit’s “elite offense” only managed 20 points against the FTP defense.
I think we hold them under that.
That means we need a 2-TD game and the usual smattering of FGs to pull it out this weekend.
Detroit is simply over rated and we will continue to roll a long.

I haven’t dressed up for Halloween in quite some time. Today at noon I seek to win the coveted Showstopper and Squad Goals trophy at the hospital party. I will be dressed as a beekeeper (of course), got my little bees glued to my jacket and veil with my smoker loaded with corn starch. My persona is Mtlovin. My spiel will be based on a polite but rather dull Minnesotan and includes some classic lines like buzz around town hive of activity birds and the bees bee’s knees comb through images honey trap and of course introducing my squad of honeybees, the MT Grizabee “sweet as honey but if you cross them mean as a MT winter”.

I’m not saying we’ll beat Detroit. We might not – worth noting we swept them last year and in both games we absolutely harassed Goff – in the 2nd game in particular. Also worth noting the 2nd game was ‘won’ by Max Brosmer.
The good news: All of our questions about this team and what it’s truly made of will be answered in the next few weeks
The bad news: We may already have the answer – sub par QB play splashed with timely special teams moments and elite defense has carried the season so far.

It’s because our defense hasn’t gone up against a high-ranked offense yet (or wasn’t highly-ranked at the time we played them, or game was played in a monsoon).
We play a couple legit top-5 offenses and win, opinions will change.
Because all it would take is average QB play for this team to be considered a threat to win it all.

I’m in a bit of a similar circumstance. My wife fell last week and broke her collarbone. Starting to relax how much she did around the house that I just sort of took for granted.
Anyways, God’s speed with her recovery.
I found this chart interesting examining offensive line ranking by certain indicators. Pretty average on most metrics, top 5 in controlling quick pressure (would be #1 if not for Fries), bottom of the league in hits behind LOS and short yardage runs.
Bottomline this screams to me WE NEED A TOP LEVEL RUNNING BACK ffs. I believe an elite RB will have a multitude of positive effects across the offensive metrics.
Get Taylor ffs just do it already it’s so obvious, Jones is gimpy every damn week and likely is not going to make it through the season.
I was so against giving up a first round pick but if we really think we will finish as a top 10 team in the NFL this year I think there are good arguments to be mad here. too

If Murray can’t consistently find open receivers defenses will stack the box and shut down any RB we can afford.
We would need a Peterson, Sanders, or Payton level of RB to carry the offense without a good passing game, and A) there ain’t nobody at that level of talent in the league right now, and B) we wouldn’t be able to afford him anyway.
Well IMHO getting Taylor would not elevate us to the SB and hemorrhaging draft picks just hamstrings us for the next 3-4 seasons so no thanks.

Burleson guest on Wobby and McKinney’s and Nate picked the Vikings.
Steven A on first take picked the Vikings thinks the defense is going to slow down Goff. Of course Cam Jordan picked the Lions. F the Saints.
Waiting on Florio and Simms to see who they pick. Usually pretty honest takes by them.

She was kicked, my nieces significant other remembers kicking her, on accident of course.
If it’s any consolation, if your Achilles tendon tears completely after a kick to the back of the leg it was already partially torn and would have eventually torn completely with some other minor trauma.

Carolina is not a good team.
I watched the game and Panthers were game and brought the intensity and matched up well just had some crazy bad tipped balls and other defensive break downs. They did force a lot of Packers fumbles early but Love picked them apart. Packers are so beatable even when Parson’s gets back. Jacobs is such a pos…did a handcuff celebration, what a loser.
Yeah, FTP don’t scare me. It’s funny how everyone thinks Micah will instantly be the player he was before the injury. It will take a couple games for him to get acclimated, and he may never be the same player he was.
