It is finally Friday, for those of us stuck in the 9-5 rut. Two days until the Vikings travel to hurricane land to face the Aints. The cowgirls lost to the Bakerless Bucs last night, good thing I only put 13 confidence points on the Cowpies, in our pick em league. PA got eliminated from the survivor league, as he predicted.
Question of the day: Do you still hate the Saints for being cheaters and ending Brett Favre’s career? Or has it subsided now that taint face and the rest of the players are no longer with the team?

Well the point of it is, I don’t get the hate on the Saints when the real culprits are out there to actually hate. Was just curious if people were really holding against the Saints or understood where the hate should be pointed.

Read once that because of league rules, only the owner could fire the HC. League could suspend him but not fire him and the owner although he knew what happened thought one year suspension was more than adequate.

Answer of the day: I don’t hate the Saints, the players or the coaches for bountygate. Is it despicable that a coach/coaches would reward players for injuring other players? Yes, but in the end the refs were the ones that were not calling the penalties and therefore allowed the players to get injured. Was it fully on the refs, or was the league involved to “help” the Saints get to and eventually win the SB? I do not know the answer to that question, but I can speculate that the commish was involved.
What I do hate is the coaches and players acting like they were not involved or responsible. Vilma in particular, when announcing will call out a hard hit as dirty or unnecessary. I believe he called out Hitman Harry for a legal hit, that was flagged and he was ejected for, saying Hitman has always been a player that was on the edge of intentionally trying to hurt players. So for that, I will forever loathe Johnathan “the villain” Vilma.
They were all involved, the players knew that what they were doing was wrong, intentionally hurting other player, not just delivering hard hits.
The whole organization and refs were in on it, I am capable of hating them all.
That is why there was all this ‘Drew Brees Love’ for his comeback last year made me throw up a little bit. Screw them all with a dry corn cob, a big one.

I will forever and always hate the refs and the NFL for that game, along with the Saints team and coaches (including Douche Brees who pretended he didn’t know anything about anything). Brees was helped by the refs A LOT in his career, just like Aaron Rodgers.
If it wasn’t obvious before or after that game that the NFL was rigged, then I don’t know what to tell anyone who believes in the integrity of the game or league. There were obvious missed calls, fake/phantom calls, catches that bounced on the ground, first downs that weren’t, etc. And what’s worse is they reviewed some the calls, which showed the calls were obviously wrong, and they still kept the wrong call. All of this is why I will never believe most games aren’t heavily rigged, though I’m sure the NFL doesn’t issue directives in all games (esp. regular season games – they probably let a few go where they go).
