Looks like McFragile was limited in practice yesterday. I would like to see him start and beat FTP! If he gets more seriously injured, he has time to recover before he gets hurt yet again in August.
2025 season pretty much sucked, even though the team has a chance to close with a winning record. One more win and they would be in the playoffs. Better QB play and better special teams and they easily have 2-4 more wins. Special teams needs an overhaul.
What is on your list for the draft? Here’s hoping 2026 is a better year.

Fat boy is ok, coverage and return units are bad, see bears vs Vikings game.
Its hard to say we need an overhaul based on 1 game. If we are 3rd in net punting, coverage had to be pretty good
I think we tend to remember the bad a bit more than the good

Thanks to all for the prayers and well wishes for Madison. I’ve got no good news. She continues to fight but she’s had setbacks. At least one stroke. Trouble with a drainage tube that appears to be corrected. I’m out of my depth on all of this. Scared. Hanging onto hope as there’s no alternative in my opinion. I’ll keep you all updated. Thanks again.
Huskers BLOWN OUT yesterday. Utes offense fun to watch. Good QB who likely follows Whittingham to Michigan. So we’ll get the chance to have no answer for his athleticism again. Fun.
Wounded or not, resting starters or not – beating GB to get us over .500 on the season and start ‘26 of on a positive note would be ideal. If JJ McMRI is able to go I’m hoping to see some growth. If it’s Brosmer I’m hoping for another dominant defensive performance to get to victory. Just get the W.
A few thoughts on the QB room next year:
Obvious they bring in SOMEONE.
I think they may also draft someone. I’m thinking Day 2 or 3 pick. Could be wrong. Definitely need the help.
Vet options that I find interesting and could all end in disaster:
Mac Jones – gotta trade for him.
Jameis Winston – Dude was a young knucklehead, did some unsavory stuff when he was young. But so did I. Still has arm talent. Still finds a way to throw picks. Don’t know why, but he’s grown on me and I think he’d be fun in KOC’s offense – until the wheels come off, and they would. Still interesting to me.
Joe Flacco – Solid vet option, loads of experience. Arm still looks live. Can clock him with a sundial. As I get older I respect the graybeards…..
which leads me to:
Aaaaaaron Rodgers – think there was mutual interest on both sides last year. He’s left the door open. Would get the chance to play at Lambeau. Seen it all. Quirky. Dooshy. Arm strength waning a bit but still looks accurate to me.
I have no interest whatsoever in Russell Wilson.
I have even less interest in Kyler Murray.
The Lamar talk is interesting.
Same with the Burrow talk, but I don’t think there’s anything there.
I could also see them make a play for Daniel Jones – his Achilles injury changed things quite a bit. Likely wouldn’t start the season but when healthy he’s shown there’s something there.

Burrow is a pipe dream, no way Ben gals trade him.
Daniel Jones would be interesting but I’m guessing he’d sign elsewhere for the same reason he didn’t last year, JJ is the starter no matter what.
Also, old friend Kirk cousins may be available and would actually be a great mentor to JJ, he could teach JJ all kinds of stuff about how to use excel spreadsheets to schedule his day down to 15 minute increments, to include intimate time with his wife.

With a guy who was basically a rookie qb, an undrafted rookie qb and a guy who was not in tbe NFL on 8/1 at QB, we actually had a good year. If we go 9-8, we will be on the right path, especially if JJM has a good final game.
