I wish I would have thought of this at the beginning of the season, but here we are approaching week 9. Better late than never…….although never late is better (always have to throw in that last part).
I know that I’ve been disparaging of power rankings in the past, citing (correctly) that it is just someone’s opinion and usually full of biases. While all of that is true, you can neutralize some of the bias when you use the collective summary from several power rankings and use the “average”. I’ll use the same sites every week, of course, so that we have consistent and comparable data.

I love this quote: “At 6-1, they might not look great all the time but they keep on winning. That’s all that matters.” NFL Week 9 Power Rankings: Vikings No. 4 but are they a legit contender? Two NFC West teams jump into top 10 – CBSSports.com

Summary
Overall, the top looks similar, with a couple spots giving the top knod to Philly, and others to the Bills. In the middle, you run into some differences. I mean, you see the Bengals as high as #5 on one, and they aren’t in the top 10 on others. A lot of what you’d expect, with a few head scratchers.
For the Vikings, 4 to 7 is a reasonable range. I don’t know, I think 7 is maybe a bit too low for us, but it’s not absurd. Looking back, NFL.com had us at number 4 after the Dolphins game, then moved the Vikings to number 7, where they’ve remained. They have the Giants and Bengals ahead of the Vikings, which I don’t agree with. They have the Cowboys at number 4, and I can maybe see that as the Cowboys have beaten the Giants, Rams, and Bengals. We’ll see which team is better on November 20 when the teams clash at US Bank Stadium.
In the end, none of this matters, but I’d say they have the Vikings about where they should be. Once the Vikings can get a win or two against better teams, they’ll move up. It’s nice to be toward the top of the list at least, right? SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Updated with the top 10s for each summary.

hi rob
You know, I should have listed the top 10. I may go re-write this. WTH, I’m slow today.
NBC and CBS must be high, Eagles over Bills?
lol
Yeah, agreed. Also, Bengals at #5?
Seems about right, especially #32.
