The Lions come in at 11-5 having clinched the division weeks ago, they have a chance to clinch the #2 seed overall with some help and will be coming in with “controlled fury” according to MCDC, after losing to Dallas last week after a terrible call by the refs. They will not be resting starters. The Vikings come in at 7-9 with a very slim chance to make the playoffs if they somehow beat Detroit, and losses by GB and Seattle, and a loss from either NO or TB.
The Vikings are turning back to Nick Mullens as the starter for this game. It might not really matter as the Vikings will be without O’Neill, Murphy, and Blackmon, as well as some other backups. This likely means a healthy dose of Booth and something called Najee Thompson at CB, which is… not good. Also expect Quessenberry to fill in at RT.

KOC said he spent extra time in the locker room to let all the players know how much he appreciated them. While I get it… I think he should have been more focused on the fact that the team just flat didn’t get it done and losing was not acceptable. Missed tackles, missed protections, and missed opportunities. The team needs to get tougher, meaner, and definitely develop a killer instinct. Bury the opposition.

Listen to announcers say what a great offense Lions have. Bullshit, with a backup QB and line, our offense was just as good. Like to see their offense play against their pass rush that we faced.
I still agree with you that we are not a physical enough team.
I’ll just say go get the QBOFT, and another one too if you want, but better to get some stud lineman and mean ass people that like to play defense. Be surprised what that does for you.
Love the Hitman, but he is not the impact player he once was. Drafting Cine, thinking he was the next Harry, was a huge miss by KAM. Need a couple defensive guys who bring the hurt with them, The linebackers KAM has brought in are small guys who get trucked. People rave about Pace, but he gets blown away in the hole. Need someone like Mica Parsons for sure.
And don’t get me started on Davenport.

Thought Mullens was OK – first interception kind of meh
How about roll with Mullens, and get some lineman that can block, and for sure some DB’s that can play.
Mullens can run the offense, but he doesn’t have great arm strength, and he processes slower than Cousins. Can he be better with a better O-line? Yes.
If we’re “rebuilding”, he’s good enough. Get some studs.
I’ve lost faith in many things that never should have been so important to me.
Vikings have been on the outs since Cousins and completely a sidenote in my life since the last playoff game. Every employer I’ve ever had has failed me. The church I sunk years and tens of thousands into turned out to be an evil place.
I’m down to God, family, and my own small business. Happy to focus on those. Don’t expect to hear from me for many months, at least.

Mullens lost his head there I think, but there should have been an outlet pass for him. That’s something KOC doesn’t do in his scheme very much. To me it’s a huge failing of the offense.
