- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.
Uh….no.
It’s a slow day when the good folks here are trying to help out the poor Bronco organization with it’s Wilson problem.
I have begun to suspect that NLNVF today and Edge yesterday decided to just take a position and defend it at all cost no matter how little sense it made.
Probably trying to keep the comment count up in the Daily Thread.
My position makes perfect sense.
It does if you are trying to stir up the base and get comment count up.
Otherwise not so much.
It’s rational. Makes dollars and sense.
Come on – do you believe there’s a snow balls chance in hell KAM would bring Wilson here – he’s been a disaster in Denver.
I do. Wilson still has star power. KAM needs to find the long term solution at QB for the team, but that isn’t going to be too pretty in 2024. The Vikings are stuck with the $28.5M Cousins cap hit, so he needs the cheapest QB solution he can find (Wilson) while still trying to show they are in a “competitive rebuild”. Wilson could sell tickets next year even though he will likely not be very good.
What else is out there that makes KAM look like he’s trying to win, while going through a significant roster rollover?
We are up over 210 comments, how far do you plan to work it up?
I’m quite popular, apparently.
You know a lot about QB play and specifically our style of offense. Wilson may have star power – although that is pretty tarnished at this point – but he wold be a terrible fit for offense.
Better to role with Mullens and draft a QB to develop.
I never said this was the best way to proceed. KAM has to navigate the political waters of his position. He has to have some glitzy move that looks good to fans, that can make news, generate clicks, etc. KOC will need to dumb down the offense if they bring Wilson in, but that will be the case for any QB they bring in.
If I was KAM, I’d stick with Mullens and Hall, and draft another guy.
I’m not KAM though.
I love getting caught in a circular paradox.
There is a database that records all of my information from resume on up (to prove I went to school, etc) called CAQH. When I renewed my state license one of the facilities I work for said they couldn’t get into the CAQH database with the password provided to update my information. The facilities and insurance payors use the database for verification and credentialing so I thought I’d better fix that. Try my old username and password…no go. When I try a password reset it says it is sending to my email on file but no email appears. I contact a gal that does provider enrollment at my employer and she says she can still get in, but the main campus doesn’t use CAQH anymore. I ask if she can help me figure out how to get in, so all these smaller sites can access…she asks if I can call her next day. Next day her daughter is hospitalized so she is absent. Day after that she leaves her position. Now I call generic provider enrollment and they say you’ll have to call CAQH, we don’t deal with them.
Now the circle becomes complete. CAQH: what is your CAQH number? Me: I dunno CAQH: OK then I will need your NPI number Me:123456789 CAQH: There is no profile listed under that NPI number Me: So now what? CAQH: you will need to provide us with a valid CAQH or NPI #, dipshit.
Provider enrollment: That is your NPI.
Grrr
I read today that if you google your problem you have already exceeded two tiers of tech support!
HAWT TAKE!!!!
The Vikings have two options at QB, if you look at all the evidence it is really quite clear it’s down to two AND ONLY two.
B. Not Qurk
I think Russell Wilson will be in the discussions. Fits what KAM (and maybe KOC) are looking for. Experienced, cheap, and with some star power.
No way he will be cheap and I don’t see them paying another QB big money when that will also mean a 29mil dead hit from Kirk. Either Kirk gets the money or they go cheaper and draft.
I think his salary for this year is fully guaranteed by Denver, so per league rules, he can’t sign a contract for more than vet minimum with another team this year. He can’t “double dip” as it were. That’s my understanding anyway.
If the Broncos move on from Russ they will trade him with some sort of trade and sign or restructure and trade sort of deal. Whoever gets him will pay for it. The receiving team may get a better picks deal but they will pay monetarily.
Yup the Cheap Russ Deal’ is fools gold.
Unless they just cut him.
No trade necessary.
Denver would rather a trade (similar to Ossweiler), if they can’t get it done then they will cut him.
Once he is cut then it gets interesting. I don’t see Minn signing for all the reasons we are moving on from KC only more so since he does know the Offense.
I agree Denver would rather trade him.
I believe it would have to get done by March 13th or 17th?, to avoid a fully guaranteed payment for injury.
You guys crack me up. You don’t even know Russell Wilson has a no-trade clause. He would have to approve any trade the Broncos make. Hence, Wilson would have to be willing to go to any team interested in acquiring him, else a trade won’t take place.
You are the fool if you can’t understand the conversation.
I never said a trade would happen.
I said Denver would rather trade him,
I think he is cut.
Why mention a trade at all if it’s not possible? Foolhardy commentary to say the least. Now you say I’m foolish? Boy, you are a spinner.
So you don’t think Denver would rather trade Wilson than eat cap space, if Wilson allowed it?
Laughing, you crack me up Dr Spin.
But a trade is ‘Possible’, extremely unlikely but possible.
Denver would rather that and is probably working hard to accomplish it.
To mention it is not nearly as ‘foolish’ as bring on Russ to Minn.
It’s not probable, though.
Correct.
Highly unlikely.
I don’t think it is that unlikely. The Broncos would lessen their cap hits and now that I’ve looked at it, the money the new team would be guaranteeing isn’t that terrible. I don’t want the Vikings to do it, but enough of the contract has already been paid that the Broncos take the worst of it no matter what.
I don’t disagree with the concept.
As NLNVF has correctly pointed out, Wilson has a no trade clause.
Would Wilson allow it?
Under the current contract, I believe a team trading for Wilson would be agreeing to:
2024 – $17.4 mill
2025 – $37 mill (guaranteed on 3/17/2024, guaranteed now for injury)
2026 – $ 40 mill with the only guarantee being $4 mill for injury
2027 – $44 mill with an additional $1 mill roster bonus
2028 – $50 mill unguaranteed.
A trade is the only thing that makes sense. $17.4 and $37 mill the next 2 years isn’t that bad and you could walk after 2025 with no dead hit. A QB needy team would do that. Perfect contract for Atlanta to have him in the building to let the QB they draft sit for 2 years. I’d add the Steelers as well but that isn’t the type of thing they do. I predict Russ will be traded to the Falcons or Patriots.
Bow bow bow….this is foolish discussion according to the Wizard.
No trade clause…. the end.
Never said that Denver could trade him, only that they would prefer it.
Or he would simply have to pick the best team vying for his services which may only be one team.
He is not going to sign a ‘One Year Deal’ as this is his last best chance for a big payday.
The first year maybe cheap but the remaining years of the contract will be guaranteed and have a NTC just like his current deal does.
1 year I could live with but that won’t happen.
Oh there are lots of ways to lure Wilson, without committing to him for the long term really. Structure is everything as Cousins says.
So they won’t agree to a deal to keep Kirk around but they will be willing to eat that dead hit and then give Russ something good enough to bring him to Minny? That doesn’t compute.
Was typing something similar when you posted.
Add in a more complicated Offense than Denver and I would rather guarantee KC for 2yrs than Russ for 2-4, even if his first year is cheap.
No, they could sign Wilson a deal they never intend to honor long term, with plenty of “outs” for the team.
Russ wants and had the same deal KC did.
If they could sign that deal with ‘outs’ for Russ then the same should/would be possible for KC.
If Russ is wanted by any team then he’ll have expectations and demands. He will have just as much of a market as Kirk if not more. He is younger, has been to SBs and isn’t coming off an achilles rupture.
I said “Wilson will be in the discussions”. IF the team can make that deal with him, I think they will. By default they would be looking to go as cheap as possible, and the market for Wilson (thus far) seems negligible. No one is listing him as a top free agent this year from what I can see.
Nobody is listing him as a top free agent this year because he is still under contract with the Donkeys.
No one is talking about him at all… even though everyone knows the Broncos are cutting him…
If by no one you mean NFL people, they can’t.
He is under contract.
If by no one you mean media insiders, then you have to ask why Denver would tip their hand one way or another.
Laughing… OK Mr spin doctor. Everyone is talking about Cousins, who is under contract. No one is talking about Wilson.
Cousins’ contract expires in a couple weeks though and Wilson’s does not. Cousins is set to be a free agent, Russ is not.
Wilson will be released on 13 March, just like Cousins.
Yeah, they’re just gonna go ahead and take that kind of cap hit when they’re already above the cap. Makes total sense.
They are. Yes.
Cousins won’t be released, his contract voids
So contrarian…
What are you talking about?
Kirk is set to be a free agent.
Wilson is not.
The Broncos are currently about $26 mill over the cap already for 2024 according to Spotrac. How in the world are they going to cut Russ and add another $50 mill to that? That would put them $76 mill over the cap and no QB.
I don’t even see a good way to restructure the deal. No matter what, they have $30 mill in dead hit from the signing bonus and $20 mill in option bonus that have already been paid just not accounted for on the cap. If he agrees to void the remainder of the contract prior to 3/17 the Donkeys take a $50 mill dead hit.
Oh Wilson could be ‘in the discussion’ it would be short though.
‘Wilson?’
‘No!’
I think KAM would bring him in, in a heartbeat if he could.
This makes Zero sense.
Why would be bring in Russ when he could have KC?
Both want Guaranteed $$, NTC, both have health concerns, but one knows the offense and has been proven to be able to run it.
Wilson may be amenable to a prove it year contract, or something where the Vikings can divest themselves of him in 2025 without too much pain.
Cousins absolutely will not take a deal like that.
Well if you refuse to see it I can’t help you.
This getting similar to Edges takes yesterday. Time to step away.
I see things quite clearly here. People want to be argumentative, and muddy the waters with various perspectives, but there is definitely a pathway for Wilson to come to the Vikings, and I see KAM working it.
Do you think Wilson will have any suitors? Can’t run Payton’s offense – very QB friendly. And has that entrage of BS with him.
This is all a bit crazy.
For a 7th round pick somebody will trade for him.
Who wants a scrambler who only throws a deep ball well that can’t scramble anymore and has lost his arm.
Agreed. I think KOC’s offense is far too complicated for Wilson to grasp and he’ll almost immediately do what he always does: scramble and try to play hero ball.
No.
Whatever Wilson signs for as a FA is offset to Denver.
The league minimum is stated as the lowest Wilson could sign for with that offset going to Denver.
He could sign for $10 million with another team, and that $10 million is offset to Denver.
Wilson can sign for anything he wants.
I don’t think that is correct DE, he signed a contract with Denver, and they are cutting him. They don’t get any compensation from whichever team he signs with.
Offset language is pretty common in NFL contracts. That’s also the likely main reason Zimmer hasn’t been coaching until now. Until this year he would not have made any more money by working than sitting at home. All that would have changed was who was cutting the checks.
League rules prohibit a player from being paid by two teams at the same time though right? Wilson’s salary for 2024 is fully guaranteed by Denver. When they cut him, Wilson can’t get more than league vet minimum to sign with another team. I’m pretty sure this is the situation.
Wrong.
If the Vikings pay Wilson $10 million in base salary, Denver gets a $10 Million credit off of their cap, up to the guaranteed amount already paid to Wilson.
It’s not that he can’t get paid by two teams.
Yeah, I just pulled up his dead hits and there is no way they can cut or even trade him without a restructure. If he is released:
-Before 3/17 his 2024 dead hit is $85 mill
-After 3/17 but before 6/1 his dead hit is $107 mill
-After 6/1, 2024 dead hit of $35.4 mill and 2025 dead hit of $49.6 mill
Trade hits:
-Pre 3/17 dead hit of $68 mill
-Post 3/17 and pre 6/1 dead hit of $90 mill
-Post 6/1 dead hit of $40.4mill in 2024 and $49.6 mill in 2025
I don’t know what offset language there is to lessen that, but ouchy. No way they can move him without a restructure. The offset may or may not be in the contract and it may only be like 50% of the salary or something. With the rest of the crap structure, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t put it in there under the assumption he wasn’t going anywher.
I think they can cut him.
Another part of his salary becomes fully guaranteed in March.
I’d guess he is cut with a post June 1 designation if he is cut.
Wilson can sign for any team he wants and for any amount of money a team is willing to pay.
It’s just no team is going to sign for much because Denver is obligated for the guaranteed portion. Why would any team give Denver a break?
That dead hit suuuuuuuuuuuucks
Russell Wilson – really? Wilson is getting fired by Payton because he draws up plays with open receivers and Wilson can’t run the offense. Drove Payton crazy.
So we bring him here to run an even more sophisticated offense. Seems kind of strange.
I never said it was a good choice. It’s a cheap choice, and a guy who can sell jersey’s and tickets.
Kmart sells “cheap” suits too.
Some people think Wilson is a Stuart Hughes Diamond Edition Suit at Walmart prices.
‘Stuart Hughes Diamond Edition Suit’
Have zero idea what this is.
And I am ok with that.
Price – $892,000
You crack me up.
You don’t even know if Denver is going to cut him.
I have this sickening feeling that you’re correct.
Yeah, I’ve heard the Wilson discussions. I’m not in favor of that. There has to be better options.
You bring up a salient point. There really aren’t any QB options out there that are better than Cousins, and he’s leaving. By default, I see the Vikings getting worse at that position in 2024, not better, no matter what they do.
Article in the local news regarding a home in Sheridan, WY, that was destroyed in a standoff with police (not the suspect’s home). Interesting to find out that if some nutjob barricades himself in your home and the police go all tactical with teargas, flash bangs, and a Bearcat or bulldozer taking down the walls you are SOL in getting either your insurance or the city to pay to restore the home. Well that would suck.
Some lawsuits working their way to the Supreme Court over this.
Don’t know if they will make it that far.
https://www.findlaw.com/legalblogs/law-and-life/your-castle-may-not-be-protected-from-collateral-police-damage/
As they should…
I think there is usually language in insurance policies that would mean the same for your vehicle if wrecked during a pursuit. I know I’ve also read language that your property is not usually covered during riots, er peaceful protests, either.
Mock mock mock…..
I could live with that. Getting to at least 32 for JJ would be better to get the 5th year option though.
I almost took him at 27 for that reason but didn’t want to lose Newton.
Arguing about whether he deserves 75 or 80 mill a year in 2028/2029 is going to be fun.
I have found that I would rather have JJ then Sweat at 42, than Newton and have to settle on Nix.
In reality I’d agree. Every mock I’ve done thru this site has JJ falling into the 2nd round. I traded with AZ and got their 2nd (35) and a 3rd (90) for moving back 16 spots. Obviously it’s a mock and rarely will it mirror reality – this one had MHjr falling into the 20’s, no way that happens.
The mocks are weird.
I have done 3 mocks and all of them had Daniels falling to the Vikings at 11.
Not sure what AI bot is being used.
I see Daniels falling to the 7-10 range frequently, occasionally to 11.
Once he even fell to 2nd round. Not sure how/why.
‘Every mock I’ve done thru this site has JJ falling into the 2nd round’
Seriously? This site has JJ at 14 and I have seen him go as high as 10.
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft
This one has him at 24 and I can usually get him with a short (5-7 pick) trade back.
https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/mock-draft-simulator
Occasionally he falls to the 2nd round but not often. They do seem to ‘adjust their rankings’ I assume as players get mocked higher or lower over time.
NFL.com’s latest has him going to the Falcons at 8.
I think all are possible, so outliers don’t bother me since the happen in the real draft.
Once teams start working their internal ‘Big Boards’ and making trades all bets are off.
It’s true. I’ve done about a dozen or so of these and about half that I’ve been trading down. Never traded up. AZ always gives me a good return (#27, 35 & 90 for #11) And I always take Newton at 27 and JJ at 35.
In the two sites I posted 1 of those two might be there at 27 (usually Newton) but never both.
I try different sites as their ranking of players are often quite different, more realistic as most teams will have different player rankings.
When I get trade offers I seldom take ones with 2025 draft picks. We need players now.
Same. I don’t care about next year when doing these. I stay put or trade back looking to acquire the 3rd we lost in the Hock deal. I solely use the nflmockdraftdatabase.com site.
I like
Read a couple articles over the last few days, and pundits are finally getting it. Vikings don’t want to commit to fully guaranteed contracts, or no trade clauses. I said this last year. Cousins camp made an offer, and it was rejected, due to a lack of “flexibility”.
There is no way Cousins is returning/re-signing with the Vikings. That ship sailed last summer.
JJ is in the same boat. He wants a contract where he can’t be traded or cut, and be with the Vikings for a long time.
KAM will have to let both Cousins and JJ (eventually) walk. It’s all business. Nothing personal, and it doesn’t matter at all how productive, or valuable, or popular a player is.
I can understand a guaranteed contract with JJ, someone who, you know, actually has proven to get results, break records, and shows no sign yet of slowing down.
Well in the vein of some folks positions here, so far, JJ hasn’t produced sufficient wins, playoff appearance’s, Championships, etc to make him very important. He touches the ball less than 7 times a game. He is a top shelf player, but that means nothing in the current equation.
This is about the ability of the team to get rid of him via trade or whatever, whenever they want, and guarantee as little as possible to him.
Sums it up…He is a loser, been here 2 years now and we haven’t won a playoff game. Dump him.
Laughing… some folks takes… he hasn’t won anything in his FOUR years yet… and this coming year, I don’t see things getting any better. Therefore, time to move on, right?
My point though, is the team, isn’t going to do fully guaranteed contracts with no trade clauses anymore. Therefore, superstars like JJ, will have to go elsewhere to get paid. Just business.
Just wait until JJ has a winner throwing him the ball.
Or not…
JJ went 7 receptions for 47 yards against the Giants in the playoffs. Maybe he is a pants shitter as well.
Kyle Sloter…(sniff)…
SLOTERGOAT!
“flexibility”. – well then. will we always be letting our good players go so as to maintain the flexibility doctrine.
Yes. This is the way the Vikings will operate under KAM.
Then KAM will be an analysts back on Wallstreet before you know it.
You’ll note the Patriots operated this way for 20 years under Belichick and were very successful. It’s all about the players you bring in, when you bring them in, and on what kind of a deal.
The Patriots had Brady though and not Kirk.
The Vikings don’t have Kirk either.
Um, actually as of today they do.
Ummm you’re right… see you in 21 days.
Patriots – 9 SB appearances and 6(maybe7) wins, with the greatest QB ever, and one of the greatest coaches.
Anyone trying to duplicate that model is doomed.
That’s sill the model I see KAM pursuing though. I didn’t mean to imply it would work. I just see KAM moving to this situation where the team has the flexibility built into contracts to move a player at any time, and in any way they want, while not breaking the bank for any one guy.
Believe we’ve discussed this before – form follows function per se. Is it about managing money or having quality football players.
Managing money, while acquiring quality football players. I doubt KAM has the chops for the quality football player acquisition part though.
Friends and family plan.

Happy Hump Day!
There she is
LOL.
I posted it earlier.
Ben dum dum
So busy at work I forgot about the Soda Slut.
Same, had a busy and exhausting day at work, almost forgot to post her.
I scheduled a massage for tomorrow. First time in years!
If you have a choice, do you prefer female or male masseuse?
I prefer female, but I’ve never had a male do it, so maybe I am missing out?
Regardless, I had no choice in this instance…
Pansy
Had a co-worker/friend in the Army that got manicures and pedicures semi annually. Seemed strange to me but he said he liked ‘spoiling himself’ occasionally.
Only thing I ever had like that was a ‘foot treatment’ The German scheduled for me after my marathon as she didn’t like the calluses on my feet.
Good for you – why would you want another man to be rubbing your body.
Chiropractor maybe?
Nephew Delete this
Interesting, I too have only had females but wouldn’t care either way. I had a massage in Vegas and it was a Thai massage and she said something like, “Walk OK?” and I was like, yeah you saw me walk in I can walk fine… then I was like this is different… oh she is walking on me, that’s what the bars by the ceiling for for lol.
I know a lady massager who had the handles on the ceiling, but I never tried the foot experience. If this one has it, maybe I will some day.
I have done it. It was O.K. but not great.
Name of sex tape!
In Vegas with a Thai woman? Did you for the happy ending, too?
I’d suggest an Asian female
-Robert Kraft
There’s the correct answer!
I would definitely go female, I don’t care for the thought of another man rubbing any part of me.
I had a great female message therapist. She was just a little heavy, strong as an ox, so she could really do the deep tissue stuff well. I believe she retired now so I have to try to find a new one,
I had a great one, too. She was a tiny 5’1 woman, but she was amazing. She was very good using her elbow and forearm to make up for her small hands. She ended up quitting due to carpel tunnel, which is why I haven’t gone to another one in so long. She will be hard to top.
I’m also good at making up for my small hands.
It depends how comfortable you are with your masculinity I would think. They are a professional so it wouldn’t bother me.
The thought of a stranger rubbing my body freaks me out.
If you have never had a legitimate massage you are missing out.
I have not and I obviously do not know what I am missing.
I was in a McDonalds once, and they had an older lady working there. I was just standing there minding my own business with my wife, and the old lady came over and started rubbing her hands all over my chest.
“Oh, you are so lucky to be married to this guy!” she says.*
My wife goes, “Thanks, you just made his day.”
It made me feel super uncomfortable to have this lady come over and rub me up like that. I told this story to a bunch of people one time, and they lambasted me that I had no right to feel uncomfortable because I am a man in a “power” position and do not understand being truly sexualized.
This was back in like 2016, and I was like…huh? What are these people smoking? This makes no sense?
That was my first encounter with “woke” folks. Now they are everywhere!
*I am not that good looking. I’m simply tall, and for whatever reason, some people have a fascination with tallness and feel a need to act on it in public, which is weird. When strangers ask me how tall I am, I want to start responding with, “First tell me how much you weigh…”
WTF… you have the right to feel how ever you feel.
I always hated it that girls could tell guys all they wanted, hey nice whatever, shirt, or that color looks good on you but a guy can’t say anything of the sorts back to a female without a decent possibility of being seen as creepy or something.
Maybe I could have sued McDonalds for sexual harrassment, and it would be called McWrenages now!
Did you know the McDonalds brothers only owned one McDonalds restaurant.
I am with Edge, that is very inappropriate and I would also be freaked out. Just imagine turning that scenario around.
Since nobody is doing hump day any justice….
JV’s Bad Taek Of The Day:
This off season, we will:
1.-I could see Hunter going either way and it will likely depend on his expectations and market. He will likely command enough in FA that I think it’s Kirk or Hunter, not both.
2.-Agree on this one. If they can’t come to decent terms though then Hunter gets the contract and Kirk gets the boot.
3.-Unless they get an absolute haul, I think they work something out with JJ, because of marketing and all.
4.-I hope so. Do what it takes to get your guy, hopefully JJ.
5.-No idea but I like Sweat in the 2nd or 3rd if he is there.
6.-Don’t know, don’t care
7.-Likely. Getting Haynes in the draft would be pretty awesome. He did really good at the Senior Bowl
8.-Likely and/or just keep Harry around for another year while they wait for Cine to break out. Blackmon didn’t look lost and while limited play, Booth didn’t do bad.
9.- For 50% of the fans, always. The others will declare the season over by August 15
10.- See 9
11.- Either it’s a failure and the rookie ends up playing in December or they will win 12 and get stomped in the playoffs.
They need to get a TE as well. I don’t know what will be available in FA so I could see them drafting one because of the Hock injury. Should have drafted Kraft last year so Edge wouldn’t have to split his alliances, but he likes fence sitting so he probably enjoys it.
‘he likes fence sitting so he probably enjoys it.’
Doesn’t sound very comfortable to me.
To each their own.

Noting your answers 9 and 10. Made me wonder what’s a ‘realistic’ fan?
If you get called both a homer and a doomer you are probably in the realistic range.
I am thinking my ‘Viking Fan Mantra’ might qualify for this.
‘Hope for the best but expect the worst’.
I used to be more optimistic, but since 2018 its been most below average football.
My hope died with Teddy’s knee. That was the last time I was truly optimistic and hopeful. JJ could get me interested again.
As far as TE, they might draft one late or sign a UDFA or wait until later into the offseason to get an idea when Hock will realistically return, but I doubt they invest much draft capital or cap space with Hock, Oliver, and Muse already on the roster, all they’d need really is a temporary 3rd TE.
I usually try to target Spann-Ford in the 7th during my mocks.
TE Minn, 6-7. 269lbs.
He’s got talent, was always underutilized in the pass game, he is a decent blocker. He’s also huge. I could see him going earlier than the 7th, Kieft was drafted in the 6th and he had like 10 catches for his career.
“I’m ya Huckleberry….”
“Pay me………..ONE MEEEEELION dollars…..”
‘If you want 2 drops I can get you 2 drops…. If you want 2 catches I can get you 2 drops…’
OK, you win.
LOL
I am guessing around 7 for the over/under on that list.
1 Quite possible. Hunter is probably ready for greener pastures.
2 Probably. Wilfs love Kirk.
3 I think Wilfs will pay JJ because they like him for ticket sales.
4 Didn’t get JJ picks, so likely not.
5 Maybe.
6 It wouldn’t be a Vikings draft without multiple DBs!
7 Certainly
8 Certainly
9 Definitely
10 I never feel good going into training camp; they’ve fooled me too many times
11 For sure this season
1.Yes

1/2- Both are likely gone, but at best maybe 1 returns
3- sure I guess, I don’t have strong feelings either way
4- yes
5- sure
6- meh, they already have 3 guys they’ve drafted in the first 4 round in the last 2 years, I don’t see them investing 2 more 4th round picks at the position in one draft
7 – only if coming off an injury
8 – doubt it, KAM tends to sign younger guys who have been hurt
9 – I don’t really get into the offseason champs labeling
10 – I never feel good about this team
11 – Maybe, maybe not, but they will definitely fail if they get to the post season.
For some reason, THIS comes to mind:
I worked quite awhile yesterday to phrase that sentence so it wouldn’t come back at me.
LOL
He breaks his silence by saying things we already know.
Which is nothing about where he is headed.
Blues Traveler RULES! I have also been rocking this guy’s whole album. It’s very good. Guy is a good guitarist, great and honest catchy song writer. It’s tough to post just 1 song to give you an accurate feel for him. This guy is what country/folk needs.
Merry Wednesday Yall. Had a good time with the new friend group last night, had some dranks, played Dirty Bingo at our hang out spot downtown. Good stuff.
Interpretation, KFEY is hung over today.
Actually was home before midnight and feel great today! Was too busy talking to a girl im perusing, helps to hold off hang overs.
Dirty Bingo?
You don’t want to know.
I think it’s like chicken bingo but with people.
Yes you do
You play bingo and win dirty (sex) related prizes. Our bingo cards were also dirty, sex lingo , etc. Fun stuff.
Good times!
No, I do not. I feel the team is trying to build through the draft and Kwesi will continue to try and bargain hunt the free agency market.
Morning Surly!
Morning NoDak!
I would think if you go that route you need to be really good at drafting.
Except for the Vikings.
This is make-or-break offseason for Kwesi.
The draft will be interesting. I think he will either make super-safe choices or double-down on screwing up.
Either way, Wilfs will keep him around for like three more years…
I agree
Sounds a lot like the Twins MO as well
The move of Davenport’s day of when they have to make a decision on him worries me… like what does that mean? Are they actually thinking of bringing him back? Maybe let Hunter walk and keep Davenport to save money or something?
I think it was just to give them more time to decide how to move money around with the more important players, he’s not coming back.
But Davenport had to agree to it yes?
I…dont think so?
I thought I read somewhere they have agreed to push that date back. That worried me because what advantage would he gain to agreeing to that unless he thought he could end up back on the roster.
If his agent goes out and hears there isn’t much of a market then maybe he agrees to a deal that let’s the Vikings stretch out the dead hit set to happen and brings him back on the cheap. When he did play he was productive so if he agrees to a structure with injury protections for the Vikings then go ahead and bring him back.
Yeah that was the only thing I was thinking too, he was productive when he was playing.
If its on the cheap then meh, its a depth signing.
Even if he did, it changes nothing except when he gets cut if he gets cut. It also increases the chances the Vikings keep him around, gives his agent time to gauge the market and for him and the Vikings to come to a restructure agreement if they want to. Extending the date was a win-win for Couch and the Vikings.
I never thought of it as win-win for both. I didn’t think he had anything to gain from being on the team longer lol.
Fuck Your Couch!
Yes Davenport had to agree to it, it may or may not mean anything, Tomlinson did the same thing last year and then signed with the Browns.
Good point.
