Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.
Are the T’wolves better off taking 3rd rather than 2nd? If they take the second spot they will sit for 1 1/2 weeks while their opponent is playing and staying hot. If they take 3rd then the team they play will be sitting the same amount of time.
This stupid play in tournament makes 1st and 2nd place a tougher spot than 3rd in my opinion.
Tiger looks gimpy already. Tomorrow, long day.
He looks fine to me, and has hung in there pretty well. Definitely going to be a long day for him tomorrow though.
The 9 year old girl with the short sleeve purple shirt and skirt is my eldest grand (NOT the girl with the bunny ears), Emma, with her presentation of her gifted & talented passion project. Can’t see her project in pic, hopefully her Mom took a pic, and those are not her parents talking to her. All the parents stopped at each project.
Always nice when the Grands inherit the good genes.
Good job passing those along Ms Kathy.
As you can tell, I’m very proud of her. The youngest, who just turned 8, is a really good kid too, and she sings with the Oldham County Arts Center choir (she has a great voice), and she plays basketball. She is also very smart.
I would have no doubt that Children that you in their lives would be smart, good kids. Parents and Family are vital to kids, The Teacher tells me frequently about out of control kids who have horrid parents.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you, SoCal. My goodness, I hate to think what your wife sees now days with out of control kids and horrid parents. So sad, and terrifying for our future.

Be surprised if Tiger’s block cut swing holds up.
Scheffler is really a stud tee to green.
I think Tiger’s swing and game will hold up, and he will make the cut tomorrow.
Well Tiger made par out of the woods…
I guess that answers the question….
‘Is he out of the woods yet??’.
Yes Mr Woods is out of the woods.
Tiger birdies the first hole of the tournament. I don’t think he’s ever done that before.
Drive on 2? Water?
Dead against a tree.
Not ideal
Well… Tiger stripes his approach shot on #1 to 8 feet. Nice start! Can he roll in the birdie?
Tiger’s first shot of the tournament is a beauty. Striped a 3 wood down the left side with a fade. Center cut.
“I’m not as good as I once was, but I’m as good once, as I ever was”
One in a row…
Let’s see how that big cut type shot holds up.
Looks like Addison got some workouts in with Diggs.
Hopefully they didn’t talk social media handling and contracts and creating stupid drama.
https://thevikingage.com/posts/jordan-addison-training-former-minnesota-vikings-stefon-diggs?
Maybe jump in there Lambo’s and take the dogs to the vet.
if so I hope Diggs is driving.
asking for a friend, but what channel can i watch live golf? i can’t seem to find anything more than the shots of the guys practicing waiting for their turn
ESPN
maybe i’m watching at the wrong times because i see nothing but specials and interviews and ZERO live golf haha
Now I’m not sure. Was watching shots (live) and now it’s returned to garbage stuff.
You can watch holes 4,5, and 6 live on Masters.com and at 3 p.m. the actual broadcast will come on ESPN.
Also amen corner and “featured groups”
ESPN.ESPN+, Paramount+, Fubo and the Masters website.
LOL
Kinda reminds me of baseball. Guys scratching their balls, spitting out wads of gum, shaking their heads, throwing to first, etc. That’s as far as I get before falling into a coma induced by boredom.
Seems Apt.
I seldom watch BB and then only playoffs and a team/situation I am interested in. Even that is more than the ‘Bad Walk Spoiled’.
pitchers rarely throw to first anymore.
games move a lot faster now.
this isn’t your dad’s baseball anymore, MT
lots of stolen bases, showboating, it’s wayyyy better than it used to be
Speaking of wayyyy better than it used to be, Oil spanked the Knights 5-1 with McJeesus taking the game off for a lower body injury. If they manage to win out (including beating the Canucks in a couple of days on Hockey Night in Canada) they’ll take the Pacific division crown. They’re playing strong defense, the key to post season progress in the modern NHL.
I know you care deeply. Meanwhile the Wild are cleaning up their golf clubs.
Looks like the Oilers could make some noise in the playoffs, nice. Go Bruins, though.
Packers/Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil week one of the season.
I better get my passport and see if can go down the Kraft family haha. Cheering against the Eagles will be the best I’ll ever feel about cheering for the Packers.
And of course, it is not a home game for the Packers.
Why would the NFL want to deny fans the opportunity to sit on wooden benches for 3 hours to watch a football game?
Just think of all the Packers fans getting Brazilians while in Sao Paulo. Gonna be a nationwide shortage of wax.
McIlroy smashes his drive on the first hole 354 yards! Crazy. Only 87 yards left.
He’s no happy gilmore but that’s pretty good
Well Rickie started his Masters in style, pounding his tee shot 298 yards up the hill in the dead center of the fairway, on his first hole. 143 yards left to the pin. Perfect.
Read Tiger can’t finish today with 3:54 start. Means 22-23 tom. Prob not good.
Yes, gonna be a bit of a tough road for Tiger.
OJ is dead
That would have been a good gif for the day Karenfingers got banned
LOL…
I miss him sometimes.
A truly flawed character.
Loved him as a player, hated him after the real person was exposed.
IDK if anyone on here remembers commenter born again purple from back in the way old DN days, but I remember OJ coming up one day and saying OJ never did and even if he did she deserved it for cheating.
How she cheating?
She had been divorced from OJ for two years when he ‘found them together’.
@I am sure that OJ never cheated on her during his NFL career.@
They were married well after he had retired. But I doubt he was faithful. If he was willing to beat her, he was willing to cheat on her too.
Didn’t realize when they married. Thanks for the knowledge.
I suspect you are right about him. Men who view wives as property often act the way he did. *allegedly*
She wasn’t, that’s part of his trolling.
@’Born Again Purple’ sounds fine human being.@
I’m here to say that I was cheated on by a gf, it stung at the time but I thank the good lord daily that she did cuz I remember after only 4 months together I was starting to think she was the one. Me dumdum.
I suspect that most if not all of us here have learned that lesson.
Difficult but usually required.
Cancer, huh? I didn’t even know he had it.
Hope he confessed before he went and unburdened his soul.
Would have been nice if he had found Nicole and Ron’s killer like he promised to.
Just needed a mirror.
Yup
Yup.
He said he “caught” cancer in is social media announcement when it happened.
Prostate.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
Karma is a hell of a drug.
We all go sometime.
Karma would have been more fitting if he died while getting hit by a white ford bronco.
Or stabbed by a jealous husband.
That too.

Yes, then he is cavorting with the angels. How sweet.

Saw a meme that said, “OJ can rest easy now knowing that his wife’s murderer is dead… Too soon?” made me giggle.
Good one, lol
Not too soon in this case.
IMHO
Same.
since the discussions so far have revolved alot around golf…
my absolute favorite golf “viewing” memory is the 1997 masters when Tiger won.
I remember is very specifically and vividly. we were in my grandma’s den, and my grandma was LOVING watching him play. it was me, my dad and my grandma. She loved watching golf and figure skating, so my dad would take us kids over to watch those types of events with her. and in 1997 it happened to be watching tiger blow it up.
i miss her and i’m thankful my dad loved spending time with his mom and wanting us to spend time with her too
That is how my mom watched Randy Moss.
I don’t think anyone made her as happy as Randy Moss hauling in TDs.
Stupid 1998 Vikings…
Very cool Freeze… thanks for sharing.
This is even a tad before my time but is still pretty exciting and one of the unique things golf has to offer – the 1960 Open.
At that time, you had Palmer the reigning King, Ncklaus is 18 year old Kid future King, and Ben Hogan the aging former King, And all three had a chance to win on the back nine the last day.
Kind of neat to see three generations of greatest golfers ever competing for a title.
Wow… might have to see if there is any old footage of that somewhere.
Great memory.
My favorite is Jack winning 86 Masters and then Tiger winning in 2019. Both were thought past their primes making for great drama.
I’m a little older.
Same here
Verne Lundquist’s call on 16 for Jack.
“Yes sir !!!!”…… on making the birdie putt.
I remember it well.
Great Memory! Think this is going to be Verne’s last Masters. this year.
Sometimes I feel like my grandkids memories will be “I vividly remember I was at Papa MT’s answering texts from my friends, making posts on snapchat, and playing candy crush”
Great work on the Summary Sir Ben.
And its Promotion to the Mythical Words On Top.
Or was that an ‘Ascension’?
Regarding golf, my favorite player growing up was Payne Stewart, I liked his vibe with the outfits and he was a good golfer. Now I don’t really have a favorite player, I enjoy the Koepka Dechambeau feud though.
Stewart certainly had talent and style.
Keopka and Dechambeau are both studs – really big. Both could be football players and. they hit the ball a mile.
Koepka has the game to win this week.
Is Koepka healthy? Seems he’s battled injuries last few years.
He was number 1 a few years back and injured knee. Believe he’s well now, but don’t see him much because he’s on the other Tour.
I remember the knee, then I think he had wrist injuries
He did earlier but he won the Open and PGA with the bad wrist.
Also I remember when Stewart died, his plane crashed over a tiny town in my home state of SD.
Same. I like Koepka over Dechokeo.
Dechokeo is a PANSIE !!!
Great media selection, Ben. Good old Falco is still a national treasure in Austria.
I actually thought of you when I chose it
Thanks mate.
Penis Draft
Love that draft.
QB and three solid D prospects.
And a kicker
For a late Rd Flyer. I prefer a high speed/RAS WR like Means. Pittsburg, Height: 6 – 1, Weight: 212 lbs, RAS: 9.35 plus 4.43 40 time.
There are others ranked similarly like Gould Oregon St who are actually faster 4.39 but smaller 5-8, 174.
Those guys can take the top off the defense and help out JJ/JA which I think is worthy of pick #230 or #232.
40 times are not listed on Pro Football Mock Draft but can be found here.
https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/live-results/40-yard-dash/wr/all-colleges/
Knew you’d love the penis one
Good Drafting,
I also often trade back, get more picks, a Defensive Stud, Penix/Nix, and then pick up as many Trench/Defensive types as I can if the top 4 QBs are all off the board at #11.
I suspect it is just as valid a plan as sending 3 #1s for a QB.
I just Josh’s first name was Bo…
So now they’ve had private meeting will all of JJ, Maye, and Daniels.
As well as Penix and Nix I believe.
Yes, just not Nix, he must be who they really want!
Bo Nix added to Minnesota Vikings list of 3-Day QB workouts
You’ve heard all the reports about their various visits or attempted meetings with prospects such as Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, and Michael Penix Jr. Now, according to Breer, we can add Bo Nix to that list.
Oh, and there have been questions about how long the Minnesota Vikings have spent with these quarterbacks, during these private workouts. Breer answered that too. Three days, which is a lot of time to get to know someone.
“Rather than go to the cattle calls that pro days often become, Minnesota dispatched quarterbacks coaches Josh McCown and Grant Udinski to [pro days], and then rolled out a larger group for a three-day whirlwind tour to work out quarterbacks privately. The itinerary included stops in Chapel Hill to meet Drake Maye, Ann Arbor to get with J.J. McCarthy, Seattle to put Penix through the paces and Eugene to see Bo Nix.”
I am really happy that they seem to be doing their due diligence with the QBs this draft.
Locking into 1 and overpaying for him come draft day would be suboptimal IMHO.
Let’s hope they are able to identify a good one, and get him without wrecking the team for the foreseeable future. Exciting times.
I hope they can identify good, better and best ones.
Then KAM can assign each a value to us and then work a deal to get us the ‘package’ that has the most benefit for the team.
I kind of get the sense KAM won’t overpay.
I don’t think he is giving up another #1 to move up.
I hope/pray that this accurate.
Daniels is going to the Redskins.
That’s the CW.
QoTD… What’s Hunter getting again? Guaranteed north of 20 million guaranteed right? No thank you. He just rarely ever felt like he took a game over you know? I can remember thinking JA really helped win us games on his back almost alone… never got that feel from Hunter.
It’s important to repeat words in a sentence that are important. haha
Hunter is 2 years, 48 mil gtd, up to 51 mil with incentives. JA helped win games, also helped lose games sometimes by being a complete liability in the run game.
That is one thing I didn’t like about Allen. He would really get into “sack-brain” at times and just loop himself completely out of the play.
Really? I know he could be a liability and make choices chasing sacks but I never thought we lost games because of it. I think he like any other player made some mistakes and he made selfish mistakes playing for the sack than the run. I guess the point being I just don’t feel hunter was a big splash player to get those numbers. Almost feels Kirk-ish doesn’t it? Great stats and all that and we all know he’s excellent at his job but just don’t remember him as a game changer worth that much scratch.
I liked Hunter the player, not so much the ‘passive aggressive, pouter’ who didn’t like the contracts he signed a couple of years after signing them.
Like all fans I would have liked to get more out of him that we did.
The only game I remember him changing the game was the Detroit game where he had something like 50 sacks (hyperbole). Other than that one he had a few where he and Griffin got to the QB a lot. I also remember a few games where he got beat by the run looking for sacks, early on in his career.
But I mean taking over key moments of games and coming up big. I don’t remember that from Hunter. But I could be remembering wrong.
I guess the Saints playoff game where Zim had him playing a lot of 3Tech, because their starting guards were both injured.
True, that was a great move on Zim’s part.
Hunter had that game against Detroit where he had like 4 sacks, scored a TD, the infamous “Poor Posture” game.
Yep.
Hunter would sign a contract and then a year later complain about the contract.
Hunter is better than the guy we signed.
But Hunter is disgruntled a lot.
Good morning, SKOL!
FTP!
Happy Thorsday!
I would have been fine moving on from Hunter seasons ago. He is a physical beast, but he is always unhappy with his contracts and goes invisible as the season goes along.
Yesterday I got a new chair for my home office. I’m seeing my computer differently. Probably because there is actual cushioning on the seat of the chair. The last one’s cushion was suffering from a decade of my tush crushing the life out of it. RIP office chair.
A new office chair is a big moment.
I wheel mine out to the air compressor every month or so and blow out all of the dust and butt essence from it. All my coworkers look at me funny, and all I can think is…I have a clean chair. You all are wallowing in dust butt essence every day of your lives…
Nice turn of phrase. Dust butt essence. It makes you feel like buying a used chair is like buying used underwear.
Butt dust is a symptom of TP. I rejoice in my non TP super toilet. Long live the sweet warm water caress of my nether regions.
No kink shaming so I won’t comment.
Thanks for yesterday’s summary, Ben. You could probably just copy and paste most days. We don’t vary often from our script.
Kirk discussion, golf discussion, soda slut are givens, peeing in boots and suggesting bow become a minister I hadn’t seen before
Bow needs to work on his big voice if he wants to be a minister. THUS SAITH THE LORD-AAHH.
Fred Couples splashed his tee shot into Ike’s Pond at No. 8 yesterday, and Rickie Fowler’s 2-year-old daughter, Maya, celebrated by screaming, “Yay!”
LOL
Rickie Fowler won the par 3 contest yesterday at the Masters. Everyone knows no one has ever won the par three contest then gone on to win the Masters in the same year. Rickie says the jinx is made to be broken.
Hopefully he contends.
He won’t.
Never does. Always fails in the majors.
He hasn’t played well this year, but last year he was rounding into form and got his first win in a long time. Was hoping that would continue this year, but he gets going, then completely falls apart.
Just not sure he has the game for major championship golf, even playing his best.
Well to date he hasn’t. He has a lot of game though. Just always has a few holes where he loses it.
Correct.
Way overrated.
Kinda reminds me of Sergio Garcia, who was similar for a long time until finally winning a major
Reminds me more of Greg Norman.
Always got the media hype, but never won a major in the U.S.
Yeah, or him, but Fowler still has plenty of time to win one, I remember Phil pissing down his leg for years at majors before finally winning one.
Today’s PGA is much harder than 20 years ago.
Fowler is running out of time.
He is 36 I believe. Very uncommon for someone in their 40’s to win a major.
4 years X 4 majors = 16 more opportunities till then, I doubt he wins one, but you never know, Sergio had to around 40. Also, Greg Norman was the open didn’t he?
Norman won The Open twice.
He and Garcia won their majors in their mid 30’s. Norman was 31 & 38
Garcia was 37
So yeah, Fowler could win one. But his time is running out.
Norman was player of the year for several years just had some pretty bad luck in majors – and some people hit some sensational shots to beat him. Was a great, great driver of the ball.
and Norman was number 1 in the world for several years. Rickie just isn’t in that class. He’s a good tour player and very likable though.
Norman had terrible luck. He was my mom’s favorite player, so I followed him pretty closely for a number years.
There was even one instance where a course was offering a free car for a hole-in-one. Norman hit a hole in one and then found out another guy hit one just before him. Guy was jinxed in some ways.
Sergio as a teenager almost beat Tiger at Medinah. He has always been known as a great ball striker, In fact one of the best iron players. Just don’t see Rickie in that class. Both are kind of average putters and that becomes an issue in majors.
Thor’s day and the Masters begins. SKOL and FTP!
