Didn’t there use to be a National Debate Commission that set these up in an attempt to be as “fair’ as possible. Moderators from different networks and then showing on different networks.
Now it seems like the DNC controlled the whole process.
There still is, but Biden’s team said they would not participate in those. They will only participate in ones where the get to control everything so Trump was between a rock and a hard place. Either participate in a rigged “debate” or give the Biden campaign the ability to run around saying Trump is afraid of Sleepy.

Presidential debates have always been set up to favor one party, and promoted as “non partisan”
Well we did get that so call Fox “moderate” Chris Wallace that did an absolutely crap job last time. He did more to make Trump look bad than Biden did.
Well, that proves my point.
While FOX itself aligns to the right, “moderators” still want to be liked.
So to be considered “fair” they will eat their own to keep their reputations.
Would love to see Tucker Carlson as a moderator, but it will never happen because the dem, or “panel” will never agree to it.
Wallace aside as he was always a closet liberal, a Fox moderator would at least “try” to be more neutral. CNN won’t care in the least to even try to be viewed as unbiased.
So to me, at least a debate on Fox and one on CNN would be somewhat fairer.
None of this is about what’s fair. All that matters is doing everything necessary to stop Trump so they can protect democracy. The heart and future of the country are at stake and no means are too far.
If Biden doesn’t fall asleep the media will rave about how good he did.
If he falls asleep they will say how calm and relaxed he was.
I agree democracy and the future of the country are at stake. And I don’t really care about fairness either.

Just got back from Dump Trip #6.

Yep, it will all be scripted except how he responds to Trump. Trump should answer questions in the most unhinged sideways method possible so there is no way they could have prepared Biden for it. Don’t forget to bring up Hunter and all the money the Biden family has made from foreign governments and all the pictures of Hunter doing crack on the laptop that Joe said was fake.
Actually I think Trump could use this to his advantage. Say some thing like both Hunter and i were the result of political hit jobs, and when I’m elected I’m going to pardon Hunter.

I doubt Biden will respond to Trump at all.
He has been given the questions already (ala Hilary) so he just has to remember the answers he was given.
He can ignore Trump and the CNN stooges are not going to insist that he goes off script.
Trump should have somebody with ready to run drug tests. Call Biden out for being hopped up and when he denies it, call him out. They’d never let him take the test anyway but his denial would be like refusing to take a breathalyzer after getting pulled over swerving down the interstate.

DE posted something the other day about the natural turf being laid down in Atlanta’s stadium for soccer, was being laid down over the fields artificial turf, which he described as “stupid”. Seemed weird to me, and had to agree, it was pretty dumb. Just read this though:

Doesn’t really matter how they did it.
I’d still say that expecting this set up to be comparable to actual grass grown on dirt and maintained as such without all of these layers, is still stupid and unrealistic.
Dunno… not an agronomist. Just thought you would like to know the report they were putting real turf on top of artificial turf was inaccurate.

It was still using a space designed for artificial, and putting layers on top of that base design to come up with grass.
To assume that would be just like a real grass field is ludicrous.

Teams have come back to win a 7 game series in the NHL 4 of 210 opportunities. This is the 211th opportunity, and would be only the second in the Stanley Cup Finals. So the odds are against the Oilers. You can cite momentum, you can cite nerves, but all you can do is come out and play your game and hope the puck goes your way. Florida will not lie down, that is my only prediction. Edmonton came back from down 3-1 to Carolina in the SCF in 2006, won 4-0 at home in game six to send the series back to Carolina, but couldn’t make the final push in game 7.
It won’t be easy. Might go to overtime. Phew.
You know what my hope is…to bring the Cup back to Canada after a 31 year drought.
To make it even more worthy, they should be trailing 0-3 in third period to win the game 4-3 and the series 4-3!

Our house is at the bottom of a ridge, so the view from the roof is not spectacular. I need to move my house to the top of the ridge, because up there, the view would be much nicer. Even at the bottom of the ridge, if we flooded, it would be an once in a millennium flood.
My ex-FIL used to live less than a mile from the Red River in Grafton.
All the houses were raised a few feet above the road lvl and every 5 years or so we were reminded why.

I know that movie was roasted by some, but I enjoyed it. But then again, that is all I’m looking for in a movie; to be entertained. I don’t do a lot over over analysis when I watch a movie.
They have a lot of resources at their disposal for the entire world being covered in water.
That just makes it more entertaining. It would have been a really boring movie to just watch a few people here or there on a boat or small atoll starving to death.
if you want to be entertained by a movie, you should watch “the fall guy”
