Twins win in Seattle 5-2 to take the series 2-1.
Joe Ryan pitched 5.2 innings 1 ER, 6 hits and 10 KOs.
Read an article where a guy said even if Biden is diminished and lost his marbles, he’s still voting against Trump.
Makes sense. There’s your voting base.
Even Bill Mahers said he would vote for Bidens head in a jar over Trump and that he might have to as Bidens jar is all ready.
Not sure where I heard it but it sounds woke enough to be true.
Also read an article that called Trump unfit and should drop out of the race.
On the other hand…
North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis has called upon Joe Biden’s cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, saying that the 81-year old’s mental decline is “clearly more dire” than people realized.
Tillis (R-N.C.) wrote his criticism of Biden in a letter to his colleagues on Friday, saying that Biden should step aside for the good of the country following the president’s debate performance.
The North Carolina senator continued by stating that if Biden cannot communicate coherently, how will he respond to a real national security crisis should one occur?
Tillis will be called into a meeting and told to toe the Biden and dem line of supporting the ticket.
‘Tillis (R-N.C.)’
Why would Tillis give a ‘rats ass’ what the dems want?
Oops my bad.
Thought he was a dem.
Never heard of the guy.
Just going by NLNFVs post.
Tilliss is a Republican DE. What bugged me about his commentary was the “81-year old’s mental decline is “clearly more dire” than people realized.” line. People have seen since before he was elected he was not all there. How is it possible that people in our Government are now acting surprised?
‘How is it possible that people in our Government are now acting surprised?’
Practice?
Touche’
Yeah. I was wrong on that.
I had my own mental failure thinking he was a dem.
But to your point, everyone knew how bad Biden is. Many are just mad that the country saw it live on TV
It is very disturbing he ever got elected…
selected
Touche’
No worries, Word Salad has his back. i mean cackles.
Oh yeah… thank God for that…
And it might snow in Florida next week.
The 25th Amendment would cause a Constitutional Crisis as his decisions, executive orders, etc would all be called into question about him being ‘diminished’.
Plus the ‘inner circle’, cabinet, cabal, co-conspiritors, etc would do that as they are on the hook for covering up for him for years.
The only way is to talk FJB into stepping down and even that comes with a whole host of problems with the elections rules. States choose who qualifies for their ballots not the Feds.
Ummmm and what part of all that has anything to do with getting someone with dementia out of the most powerful office in the world?
The Dams give a damn about anything but the election. If they invoke the 25th due to diminished capacity everything he did is in question.
They will not do that, no matter how bad not doing it will hurt the country, Lib Power is more important.
Yeah, but just remember, WE’RE the deplorables…
I wear that Label with honor.
Much better than being ‘Sophisticated Elite’.
If we’re deplorable to the lunatic left, what does that really make us?
Sane?
You… you… you’re good you…
Shhhhh
You will ruin my reputation.
Not to mention my ‘street cred’.

Well, I guess we all got it wrong on Thu night.
It only took four days to rewrite the facts.
How blind stupid can people get!? The fucking left.
I guess they just assume that after a few days have passed, people will forget and they can report whatever they want.
Aides say he is somewhat coherent between 10 AM and 4 PM.
Yep. They are now admitting that Biden is Sundowning. But don’t point out that this a phenomenon of Dementia patients.
One crook covering for another.
She is used to telling big lies and having fake news repeat them for her.
At this point (84) she might not know the difference.
Never mind the ‘old bat’ knows what she is doing and doesn’t care about facts/truth.
She’s older than dirt and still thinks she’s relevant.
As bad as Joe was in the debate, did you see him the next day at NC rally. They really had him juiced up – he was unhinged and yelling, looked crazy like Bernie.
It was so obvious but idiots won’t see through it.
The media will just move on and pretend it didn’t happen. Any future reference is just a deep fake.
Agreed with JR, he was jacked up on rally, on purpose.
He also had a teleprompter.
Senile or unhinged – a tough hand to play.
Dims will prob find a way to get him a trillion votes.
It is if you are the wrong political party.
You are just being fooled by deep fakes.
People may be idiots but they believe their EYES. Then have been told on all the liberal media outlets it was just Fox putting out that Fake news about Joe’s mental capacities.
Now they say on their beloved CNN the truth with their own eyes and there’s no wiping that out – like seeing a car crash first hand.
It’s really stunning how they just ignore reality and just go back to what they think is important.
Looks like Purple will sign Akers back, depending physical.
Decent 3rd down back, fragile though.
I liked Akers. Good back in my opinion.
Clanton (A) doing pretty good.
He is. Rickie is going the other way, kinda how I figured he would, unfortunately.
Vikings first game of the season at the Giants, is just 10 Sundays from today.
Three weeks from today, the rookies report to training camp.
177 days until Christmas.
7 days from today we will be chasing our household goods to Idaho.
Good for you and Teach! Get out of Dodge!.Hope toe is ok, they can be a bitch to walk on when hurt.
Toe is still a little swollen and bruised.
Only problem is it rubs against the shoe now but it is pretty minor.
Not sure why tray was on top. Teacher do that? LOL
Unknown at this point.
It was dusty so it had been up there for awhile.
And 2 NFL Games on Christmas this year!
I will not have to talk to the family.
Think Netflix has, you got?
Yes, I pay for too many streaming things.
New World. Gouge consumer any way you can.
Not paying – guess I’ll have to learn to watch Caitlyn Clark.
And then there’s all the good Christmas movies.
I am parsing this to mean that Cine needs a bigger CPU between his ears.
“From the time he arrived, he has had trouble translating his athleticism into on-field production the way he was able to at Georgia.”
https://thevikingage.com/posts/new-explanation-lewis-cine-struggles-minnesota-vikings
I think Cine is an example of the NFL scouting maxim: “when in doubt, take the best athlete”.
I believe KAM thought he was outsmarting everyone by passing on K. Hamilton and trading back, getting more picks and getting just as good an athlete.
Decent idea although he didn’t get enough back in the trade, gave that extra value to a division rival, and got a bust instead of the future Pro Bowler he passed on.
I think you’re right there. Spot on.
I hate it when I do dumb things.
Last night I took a shower, once I was done and mostly dressed The Teacher asked me if I could move a small microwave oven from a tall shelf to the ‘donate’ pile.
I reached up, shifted the microwave to the edge of the shelf so I could get a good grip on it. For some reason the glass plate was on top of the microwave instead of inside where it belonged. I first noticed this as it slid off and headed for my head. I couldn’t jump out of the way as the microwave would have followed the plate since I was holding it in place.
I managed to move my head to the side to avoid it, The Teacher (standing behind me) made a grab for it but missed. It bounced off my shoulder and landed squarely on top of my big toe.
At that point I asked myself, ‘why did you not put shoes on before attempting this’, and then the pain came. Luckily only some bruising and swelling that is manageable so far. Oh and the plate did not even break.
I hate ‘learning the hard way’ especially lessons I have learned before.
Thanks, my self-image is soaring now…
Glad I could help.
I was afraid to read after the ‘ I was getting out of the shower half dressed and the Teacher asked me’ – thought it might get X rated.
After all of the packing, organizing, etc we have been doing in this heat our X rated activities have been worthy of, at best, a soft R rating.
I won’t put to much in the ‘soft’ thing.
Appreciate it,
I really should have known better.
Sunday Salutations Skol-Schizos….
Wife out shopping with my MIL.
Coffee good. Dogs napping.
Dominating Tecmo Super Bowl (Currently carving up the NFL with Dan Marino and the Dolphins – this after winning the superbest of owls with the Wade Wilson led Vikings)
Have the NFL Network on in the background as I often do. Watching highlights and the ‘A Football Life’ series. Just jonesing for football in any form. Currently watching ‘AFL’ on Lawrence Taylor – who I think is the greatest defensive player of all time – and I’m still mesmerized by his combination of speed, power and aggression. Aside from Dick Butkus, who I never had the joy of seeing play live (thank you Steve Sabol & NFL Films) I can’t think of a more intimidating defender.
I think I’ll take the Giants for my next season with the goal of scoring as quickly as possible to give the ball back to the opposing offense – just so I can take the ball back with LT.
Happy Sunday y’all ….

‘Sean Payton doesn’t hold the door open for old people….’
Reminds me of the time I opened a door to some store and there was a very pregnant woman approaching from the other side.
I stepped back and held the door for her. She gave me a dirty look and said ‘I am not that big!!’
Once again I allowed my face to give away my thoughts. Shame on me.
Actually as a kid growing up in Illinois, saw Butkus play four years in college (U of I) and then for the Bears. He was an absolutely fierce defender and truly brought fear to offensive players.
Living in DC saw LT for years playing against a great skins oline – and he still dominated. Not as ‘mean’ as Butkus but a real force for any offense to handle.
I think a lot of folks are hoping both Sam Darnold, and J.J. McCarthy end up playing well for us. I think that is completely possible if KOC decides to change his scheme. He can field a quarterback-friendly offense that builds in sure-completions in the first, second and third level. This builds the QB’s confidence, and confidence is the baseline trait every QB needs to succeed.
The Rams offensive system is one based off the run, mainly outside zones. Out of the run action comes the bootleg. A bootleg pass is run action one way, then the quarterback fakes to the RB and goes in the opposite direction. Quick, open pass catchers are present in the flat or the first level in the progression. The second level consists of tight ends and slot receivers running crossing or void routes. The third level is made up of outside or X receivers in a version of a vertical or deep out route. The bootleg pass is a quarterback’s friend. Easy completions are built into the play. However, it’s only successful if the running game is productive. Aaron Jones is a good RB. KOC has to finally establish a real running game. If he does these two things, both Darnold and J.J. will be successful.
Shouldn’t argue QB play with you but here’s a thought and question.
Watched or offense last year after Cousins went down. Regardless of QB, we had receivers open all over the field. Mullens – except for interceptions – ran this offense well. He’s a career backup. If Darnold and McCarthy aren’t capable of playing as well as Mullens running the offense, that says a lot about them.
See no real need for change. Why change this?
Because of interceptions. If the QB reads both the defense and the receivers correctly, he can make the play. If the defense does something unexpected, and the receiver does something unexpected, then the QB is in trouble. Cousins was exceptional and understanding what a defense was doing against him and quickly assessing the route combinations. None of our current QB’s can do that.
Well a follow on thought – they will not learn to run the full offense by NOT running it.
Lots of guys can run a race car around the track if you leave it in 3rd gear.
Not everyone can throw a 90 mph fastball, hard curve, slider, and a sinker well. Sometimes you have to go with what you know.
Indeed.
We brought KOC in here to basically do the Rams light – our version of Stafford to Kupp.
It is a demanding offense on the QB’s brain/arm and the WR’s pattern running ability. We seem to have had two guys who could do that.
But then someone decided they could ‘replace’ the QB piece.
Fine – then replace it.
Your baseball thought, if you have a pitcher with a good fastball, slider and curve – and you let him go – you better have a solid plan to replace him.. getting a lesser pitcher and adding like a better shortstop will NOT work though.
Yep, knew that analogy would resonate with you. Fans are excited by a QB’s physical traits and athleticism. They love “playmakers”. Run Forest, run!!! They don’t get at all that the ability to process, combined with a really accurate arm, combined with the courage to stand in there and get blasted while delivering the ball, is what makes a QB special.
Fans can be forgiven. Coaches and front office personnel are another matter.
This article shows the Vikings are in about the same QB position as the Falcons.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10126132-ranking-the-nfls-worst-qb-situations-ahead-of-2024-training-camp
That writer must also be a beat writer for the Washington Post and also tells us how vigorous and smart Biden is.
Man, I call bullshit on this article.
I have “I hate Kirk as a QB, not as a human” syndrome more than most, but ATL upped their QB room in a big way. I did scratch my head with the Penix pick at 7, but also understand that years of below average qb play will force a GM (Rick reaching for Ponder or overpaying for someone stable).
I also call bullshit on the Colts. I think they have a star QB for years.
The rest of the teams, I have no issue with. I realize the Vikings QB will most probably be a step back this season, except of course in Prime time and Playoff games.
Most all of what you say is solid.. Wonder what Cousins’ QB ratings are in Prime Time games?
No idea. I do know he has games like SF last season where he plays very well. If that happened a little more often the story would change. I understand his career narrative is mostly pundits looking for clicks. Teams he QBs do not have good prime time records, and he has 1 playoff win in his career. Team stat and QB stat in my mind.
There was an article I read about Cousins in primetime where the author actually went through his stats, and also how the games played out, for context. If I remember correctly, Cousins performances in primetime tended to be above average, while his teams played below average. That isn’t to say Cousins hasn’t had bad games in prime time. He definitely has. It’s just that the narrative is he “always chokes, or plays poorly in primetime” and that narrative is without merit.
Makes sense. As I mentioned, the narrative gets clicks.
I still say wins are a QB stat AND a team stat.
For sure not all the prime time failures are Kirko’s fault. QB is just the easiest to blame when 4th and 8 happens.
The story is about the situation, not whether Kirk is bad. It’s an odd situation to spend big on Kirk only to use the 8th overall pick on another QB.
Hmmm I thought the story title was: Ranking the NFL’s worst QB situations.
Guess I can’t read plain English.
Like I said, I don’t think it’s about them being bad players, or whether they win or lose.
It’s about the worst QB situations in the NFL.
Yes. And the situation is if Cousins struggles, the fans will call for Penix, creating an odd QB situation
this is a BS article. That aside the author did not think very deeply about the situation.
Did you read this part?
So do you think Atlanta with a proven veteran NFL starter and the 4th QB selected is worst off than a team with a journeyman as a starter and the 5th QB taken in the draft?
No, and I think the rankings are 12th worst, then 11th worst, so technically neither does the pundit.
OK. Don’t think that much for (about) Daniel Jones but I’d pick him above some of those others listed.
Yeah, these articles are crap. Just some dolt spitting out a story for the masses to click on. As we’ve said before, anyone could post their “list” of this or that in the NFL, and it would be just as valid as the next guy’s.
Beautiful, warm day here in Tampa. 86 degrees on the way to a high of 90. Golfers are out, and already had several folks in my backyard looking for their ball. Alligator was sunning on the end of the tee box yesterday afternoon, but no sign of him this morning. Had three cups of coffee and a bowl of Frosted Flakes to start my day on the Lanai, watching some pretty bad swings. Hoping Rickie Fowler plays well today, but somehow I think he’ll just bang it around, and shoot level par. We shall see.
FTP, SKOL, and FJB.
65 and sunny here. I should have golfed today instead of yesterday. Brutal wind yesterday and today is calm.
But I have a pork butt in the smoker, bratwurst and chicken will be added later.
Lazy day of watching meat cook.
I am not sure I would want to golf in Florida with Alligators around. I did golf in FL once at a bachelor party in the 80s. I remember it was a great course, but back then I was about a 50 handicap, so I focused on drinking, and driving the golf cart.
Hot and far too humid in Orlando today. We dot almost four inches of rain late yesterday and most of the courses have holes under water – tough day for golf.
Eating cereal? Read on here a few weeks back cereal was bad for you. But then, you can read a lot of things here.
At my age, I could give a shit what’s good for me. I eat pretty well in general, because the wife is in charge of my meals. I do eat things that aren’t exactly healthy on occasion though.
You’d laugh (or shoot me) if I told you who made the great cereal proclamation.
I can guess… laughing.
103 here today, +100 for the next week.
Topping out at 111 and 110 Friday and Sat when the packers and movers are here. Yeah!
At least it will cool off to the high 90s when we get to Idaho.
Steelers playing the Broncos in Denver, week 2. Think Sean Payton gives Russell Wilson a hug?
Twinkies win in Seattle 5-1.
Pablo with 6 innings of 4 hit ball with 9 SOs.
A win tomorrow will give them 3 series wins on this 9 game road trip.

I didn’t know that FJB has had multiple brain surgeries before. Add that to the list of reasons we need to get him out of office, the sooner the better.
‘The neurosurgeon, who has not treated Biden personally, also mentioned the 46th president has undergone multiple surgeries for brain aneurysms.’
https://www.foxnews.com/health/doctors-concern-bidens-apparent-cognitive-issues-debate-troubling-indicators
Multiple surgeries for for brain aneurysms? Crazy.
My brother passed from a brain aneurysm and this POS survives multiples of them?
My brother was a much better person, was in the process of adopting two ‘crack babies’ and had just decided to adopt a little girl from foster care (didn’t happen as it was decided she could be placed with a two parent family).
Sorry, just makes me mad all over again about losing my brother.
Condolences for your brother SoCal. Sounds like he had an amazing heart.
I did not have time to grieve much at the time, widow and 5 kids to assist at the time plus mother and other assorted friends and family.
It sneaks up on me occasionally, in fact I cried when it came up in psychology interview for the prison, thought I would be rejected but I guess they didn’t mind.
You have a good heart too. Good man.
I try, that is all that I am claiming.
You seem to be doing pretty well in that department yourself I see (read).
Thanks. As we say, we do the best we can.
Was brought up to believe ‘ family’ is everything.’ Will just say you and SCMF have your acts together !
It’s as obvious as you can get. I’m retired and getting older. Things i could do are not as easy when i was young. Dude needs to step away. It’s life.
Do people really think his cognitive issues are fine? God help us.
Rickie Fowler finally making a little charge at the end of his 3rd round. Been pretty mediocre all day, but birdied 4 of his last 5 holes to get to 4 under for the day, and 10 under for the tournament. Tied for 19th with one hole left to play. He has 23 feet for birdie. Good move up the board at the end of his round.
Wow… Fowler drains the 23 footer for birdie on his last hole! 5 under for his last 6 holes. He’s 11 under now for the tournament. Tied for 16th. Not gonna win, but at least he’s moved up significantly.
Saw a comment from him saying he might have a case of the yips putting.
Hadn’t heard that, and odd from a guy who used to be considered one of the best putters in the world. Confidence is something that makes or breaks a pro though.
Think he has tried different grips. Trying to figure i guess. 23 ft ain’t bad.
Yips are about rhythm. You lunge or lurch trying to hit the ball. If you have something you can use to keep yourself swinging the club in rhythm, you won’t yip. I say “Alabama” to myself when putting and chipping to stay smooth and rhythmical.
Thought i was pretty good on greens and iron play. Woods often ended in the woods.
NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb and his family had to escape their house due to a fire on Tuesday night.
Cobb’s wife, Aiyda, wrote on Instagram they were “lucky to be alive” after a Tesla charger caught fire in their garage and “quickly spread,” but they were able to get out wearing “nothing but the clothes on our back and no shoes on our feet.”
Impressive focus on FJB to continue to push EVs on everyone despite all of the evidence that it is a bad idea until the technology is ready for it.
You see Joe the other night. Anyone who listens and pays attention to him deserves what they get.
The 33% that voted he won the debate will vote for him no matter what.
They will try to use Teleprompter Joe to get the rest of them to think it was ‘just a bad night’.
Too bad for them FJB will continue to have ‘Senior Moments’. Fake news will do their best to minimize them of course.
33 %. – just shows you one third of the country has a serious drinking problem when they watch TV.
Drunk, stupid or in need of a free lunch.
Just as easily the “or” in your statement could be “and.”
Yes. I amend that comment.
Don’t forget TDS.
And that!
When’s moving day SC. Prob showed but i missed.
That was my exact take when I read the article So Cal.
Yep. No problems with cost, batteries or charging stations. FJB is a certifiable.
They aren’t called the lunatic left for nothin…
What does a person with diarrhea and a electric car owner have in common?
They both hope they will make it home.

QOTD,
Since the kids are all grown and moved on the 4th has been about avoiding idiots with firecrackers.
This year it will be about making sure everything is ready for the movers which will show up on the 5th. This year we earn our Independence from The Granola State.
I did not watch the debate between Trump and Biden. I read afterwards that Biden appeared dazed and confused, while Trump was accused of lying and fact-checked to death.
That said, a posted CNN poll taken right after the debate, showed 67% of CNN-viewer poll takers declared that Trump had won, while only 33% declared that Biden had come out on top.
I have watched Biden for years now, demonstrate clear mental and physical decline. He’s 81 years old, but looks/acts like he’s 91.
At a young age when you’re not the sharpest knife in the drawer it seldom gets better with age.
Absolutely true. Biden has never been sharp. He simply lied and manipulated people to get to where he is. I cannot believe our “independent press” doesn’t call him out for the lies he spews out about what he’s done in his life. It’s clear, the left is controlling the messaging to the masses through a news, and entertainment media that is hell bent on destroying the right.
‘ I cannot believe our “independent press” doesn’t call him out for the lies he spews out about what he’s done in his life’
I can’t believe that you can’t believe that.
Fake news is cut from the same cloth FJB is, all hat no cattle.
Interesting that Liberal Talking Point is all about the Lies (exaggerations) that Trump told. I have yet to hear about the ones that FJB threw out there.
‘No military have died on my watch.’
The Border Patrol has endorsed me.’
Those are a couple of the easiest to disprove but instead we get crickets.
QotD; It changes. When younger seemed I always played baseball on the 4th. Later, became a nice day off to cook out and watch fireworks.
Now old and retired, and live close to Disney so can see fireworks every night. So for last couple of years watch parts of the mini series Gettysburg and cook out.
Tropical Storm Beryl formed last night in the Atlantic, east of the Windward Islands and could become Hurricane Beryl by Sunday as it moves westward.
It’s the second named storm of the 2024 hurricane season, formally turning into a tropical storm about 1,100 miles southeast of the Windward Islands at the eastern end of the Caribbean.
Too early to tell where it’s headed beyond Cuba.
Right now, I think the four oldest starting QB’s in the NFL are Rodgers, Stafford, Cousins, and Wilson. Three of them had some injury issues last year, and two of them are starting for a new team.
Which of the four do you think will have the best season this year? I’m inclined to say Rodgers.
I’m not sure but, if healthy, believe Rodgers Stafford and Cousins will all have good years. Wilson big question mark.
I agree with this JR. As much as folks are salivating over the rookies, the old heads have the advantage. They’ve all been there, and done that. They’ve seen every stadium, played against every defensive scheme, and lived through all the up’s and down’s. They’re the “steady Eddie’s”. I might say Wilson is the slight exception to that. He made his bones on his elusiveness, and his deep ball ability. He’s not that scrambling bomber anymore though. He can still sling it, but he’s lost a step. He never developed into a QB who made plays, he was always the playmaker. Once those wheels wore out, he hasn’t been the QB he used to be. Rodgers, Stafford, and Cousins, beat defenses with their brains and their arms. All of them can still do that.
QB success a bit relative. Cousins/Falcons could easily win the South. Stafford/Rams and Rogers/Jets get wild cards. Not surer who I would say is more successful in this scenario.
Wins/losses are a team stat. I look at the individual performance/production of the players. No QB plays defense, kicks field goals and extra points, returns punts, catches the ball, or blocks. So the metric is their play on the field, and their statistical production, especially over a number of years. Rodgers, Stafford, and Cousins are QB’s who have played well for years, regardless of their teams records. Stafford went 74-90-1 with the Lions, while setting NFL passing records. Then he won a Super Bowl with the Rams. Thus “success” to me is their individual production, not whether their teams win Championships. If their passing games are top 10 in the NFL, then they’re doing their job well.
I also believe it is a ‘team’ sport but good QB play is important too.
Let’s use Cousins/Atlanta since he’s so beloved around here. He can normally throw for 4000 yards and 30 TD’s. But Atlanta has a really good back and a line that run blocks well. So what if Cousins only throws for 3500 yards and 25 TD’s but he plays well and Atlanta wins a lot of games. Stat wise it would appear his game dropped off some – but I don’t think so.
No, because the stat line is associated with number of attempts and completion percentage. In 2019 Zimmer decided he was going to run the ball and not have Cousins be the focus of the offense. Cousins threw the fewest passes of his starting career that year, so his total production dipped. However, he had a passer rating of 107.4 with 3,603 yards, 26 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 15 games. He was also selected to play in his second Pro Bowl. So, he had a damn good year, even though the RB was the featured offensive focus.
The NO confuses me but I think we agree?
Yeah, I was trying to say no, I don’t agree if he had a drop in overall production, but the team was successful, he was successful. If the team succeeds in spite of his play, that’s not a successful year for him IMO.
I really mucked that up, I think.
I vote Stafford.
Wilson is finished. Kirk would be second of those 4. Rogers 3rd.
I’d say Stafford makes sense, because he’s in his 4th year in the same system with the Rams. Rodgers is in his second year in the system with the Jets, even though he didn’t play last year. Cousins and Wilson are starting over (again) with new systems and OC’s, as well as their supporting casts. I think the order will be, Rodgers, Stafford, Cousins, and then Wilson. Stafford and Rodgers could be flipped though.
Slept in this morning and still first? FTP, SKOL, and FJB.
QOTD: Having friends and family over, grilling and watching fireworks are definitely our 4th of July traditions.
We skip the fireworks since I am not a fan of crowds, traffic, and bugs.
Grilling is and golf is my day/week. Took all next week off. I have 7 tee times the next 8 days.
Wow… 7 tee times in 8 days. I don’t think my body can do that anymore. I play very rarely these days, and when I do play, it’s usually just 9 holes. Haven’t played since April, as it’s very hot and humid here. I will say though, the last time I played (with my son) I played very well. Hit the ball with some authority, as it were, and putted lights out. Whenever I play again, I surmise the golf gods will equal the score.
They way today went, I am ready to cancel the next 6 tee times.
At least I cannot play much worse. 53 on 9 holes. last time out I shot 43 on the same 9.
As long as you do not kill/maim anyone on the course (including yourself) it’s a successful day.
Only think hurting is my pride.
Tough sport, fun when you nail one. Then those other ones.
