VIKINGS NEWS – Another day, another injured player. TE this time, with a back issue. QB competition is seemingly interesting. I figured JJ would start late this season or 2025. All reports from practice seem to say I was wrong, and JJ could become the starter sooner rather than later. I am good with that, and trust coach to play the QB that is playing the best. Pretty sure that will not be Mullens or Hall.
NFL News – FTP! There is also a practice football game on tonight. HOF game. I was looking forward to it, but since the #1 draft pick is not playing, I will probably do something else. I can watch the Bears on Hard Knocks starting next week.

He didn’t bring up the dictator thing. He was asked if he would be a dictator and he said he was going to undo the bad Biden executive orders on day 1 and if that made him a dictator then whatever, for the first day I’m a dictator. The others can pay for their crimes, not sure if they are getting what they deserve or not, but that is what the appeals process is for.

I have never commented on this type of thing but will today, just because I have been a bit more informed over the last couple of days…. 1st, I am a conservative and VERY upset with ALL things FJB and Camela, Second, I watched the Jan 6 Trump rally on FOX and was watching when the whole craziness started and hated to see it happen, but I completely think there was very much a setup and we aren’t hearing the entire story about the folks there inciting the crowd from what I will call the “other side”. BUT, to say that folks did nothing wrong, I just don’t think that was the case. There is truth about this somewhere in the “middle”! Conservatives say NOONE did ANYTHING wrong, Liberals say, it was the WORST thing since 9/11 and probably worse…..I don’t think either is correct. I have a VERY liberal friend that recently talked to about nooses around the Capital that day, I said NO WAY, but there were, I went and looked and I was shocked. I’m sad that I don’t hear everything from my news sources and I am sad that the liberals don’t hear everything from theirs. I know I am opening a can of worms but had to get that off my chest. WHERE IS THE TRUE TRUTH??
Agreed, there were some bad actors that committed crimes that day.
There were also people who went to a rally, walked into a building that was opened for them.
1st type should be prosecuted, and they were.
2nd type did little if anything wrong, they were prosecuted as well.
Pardons for the 2nd type are perfectly logical, IMHO.
Stop using logic and being reasonable. You must pick a side and be hardcore one way or the other.
It is the use of the ‘absolutes’ ‘All’ and “None’ that cause the arguments.
There is logic that can be applied by reasonable people.

I knew a lot of good people in Calif, they voted for dumb things but otherwise they were good people.
There are indeed many if not all good people.
I believe you could take 10 ‘normal’ people – five dems and five repubs – put them in a room with a no bias moderator, and they would come to agreement on most all the serious issues we face.
I know, it sucks. We’re so tribal these days. I have friends that I’ve known for 30-35 years that I hardly see anymore because of the political divide.
I accept your crticism of me using “did nothing wrong.” Obviously some people did with violence etc. I was more specifically talking about people simply came to a rally, walked around with crowd and have since come under intense scrutiny and sometimes legal action.
Personally know some folks that live in Rosslyn, took the subway downtown, and walked around.

Later, had FBI agents at their doorsteps and got put through very intense interrogations – like give us some ‘names’ or face dire consequences.

It really is interesting that this is such a “line in the sand” type event! The J6 “committee” did nothing to prove anything but what would anyone expect. They weren’t looking for anything but their truth, Where is the true truth, that we can go to and feel comfortable this it is?
It became a Political Show for votes/support.
Which is why I have no problem with Pardons for people who didn’t commit any violent crimes (or any crimes) as Trump has stated.
The J6 committee – typical DC politics. That committee interviewed a lot of witnesses with pertinent information. But unfortunately, their goal was to get Trump more or less. As such, they “destroyed ” any and all information that was favorable to him in any way or that shed light on the Speaker’s role as events played out.
Something in our democracy rings true – the truth, the whole truth.
I do think that the people that went inside were wrong and should have been charged and fined.

What’s the old saying? Can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear? Darnold has been in the league for six seasons, going on seven. He has a history you can easily see. I was very surprised KOC and KAM chose him to come in as the bridge QB. Maybe there is still hope that he can actually play QB in the NFL at a high level, but I see him as another Wentz. Talented, but not able to get it done in the pro’s as a starter.
The position of NFL QB and NFL coach is kind of mind-boggling. It doesn’t matter if you are middling. Once you get in, you got a job forever.
Seems as though if you don’t have it between the ears coaching can’t make that go away.
