DEI – just some initials. This is simply about putting people in positions they aren’t qualified for and wouldn’t get there otherwise.
As little as a month or so ago Dems wanted to kick her off the ticket as she was a drag for Biden.
‘Your perspective on a ‘thing’ is dependent on where you stand in relation to that thing’.
If you want to ‘play the victim’ and get things you didn’t earn’ then DEI is good.
If you are self reliant and take pride in earning your way then DEI is bad.

Suppose I an hiring someone. That means that person is responsible to me and their performance directly affects my overall performance. As such, why would I hire an inferior ‘white’ person? It is to my benefit to hire the best available applicant.
So calling it what is… is offensive… even though it’s good. Got it.

Hiring the ‘dominant demographic’ and hiring someone who is ‘perceived to be disadvantaged’ both limit your pool of options and your ability to find the ‘best person’ for the job.
Much like Hiring Only Men immediately reduces your options by 50%. Some physically demanding jobs might mean only 5-10% of females can do that job, but that is still more options than you had. If you have to hire females to ‘balance out’ those job you either have to reduce the standards for the job or reduce the options to 5-10% of the overall pool of workers that meet those standards.
TLDR: Hire the best person that can do the job.

People seem to forget, that Denny Green was a DEI hire for the Vikings. It was between him and Pete Carrol. Team decided the most qualified “non-white” coach was Denny.
Pres and VP on a much larger scale to do a DEI hire. Cackles was selected to garner votes, seems a bit undemocratic to me. She doesn’t have a leg to stand on given her history. Walz is just another left wing radical POS.
Congrats to the American women’s water polo team. They needed a ton of help from the refs, but they DID manage to beat Team Hungary. Wonder how this game would have ended with neutral referees overseeing the game…

McCarthy cleary has a very good arm, but most first round rookies have all the athletic traits required. It’s all the rest of the stuff that goes into playing QB in the NFL he has to master. KOC probably knows exactly where McCarthy is on the development curve.
I think you and I are on the same page, need to ease him into the starter role. Last thing you want to do is crown him early a la Justin Fields.
There’s just a lot more than a good arm required to be a good QB. Jeff George had a cannon.
I’m also of the opinion that our DL as last year still is bottom tier and our DB situation makes it likely that our offense fares better in practice than we will against, say, the Jets.
Certainly in practice, where tackling is not allowed, and hitting the QB is not allowed, QB’s have an advantage. When you face a real NFL defense in a real game, and the gloves come off, QB’s better know what they’re doing.

My wife and I watched the end of the opening ceremony and one evening I flipped between a few sports for maybe an half hour or so, otherwise, I haven’t even been keeping up with the medals counts or anything. No have no enthusiasm about the Olympics this year at all.
My sister is watching them, and because I have to keep an eye on her, I see a of the coverage by default. The woke Olympics with men masquerading as women in both the opening ceremonies and actual competition is grotesque to me.
They should have the Olympics in Saudi Arabia some year and see how that works for them.

My stepdaughter and fam are in Italy for two weeks. 18 year old granddaughter is starving, “dinner over here is like cheese, nuts and some olives”. The exchange student’s dad is amazed at how much junk food my grand can eat. I said, well I bet the average Italian is skinny – yup. The grand is pretty skinny by US standards (she got a track scholarship for college).
