Very dramatic, very exciting competition at the Presidents Cup all day today. Every match was a thriller it seemed, but the Americans ended up winning the day overall. They take an 11 to 7 lead into the singles matches tomorrow. They need 4 and half points to retain the Cup.

When you stop turning the ball over, good things happen. Allen hasn’t thrown an INT in three games – that is a feat.

The third day of the Presidents Cup is on today from Canada. The first day, the Americans won all five matches, but they were all close. Up 5-0, they went into the matches yesterday with a lot of confidence. They got shellacked by the Internationals, who not only won all five matches, they won three of them easily and by wide margins.
Now the Americans have to come out and prove themselves. The Internationals are sky high, and momentum is fully on their side. The matches were scheduled to start this morning around 7:20 a.m. but fog rolled in, and they are still waiting to get the matches underway.
Twins complete there epic collapse and lose again.
At least we won’t have to watch them get rolled in the playoffs.
Yup, in the running all the way up to about 7-10 days ago, then they totally shit the bed.
It started with the owners not willing to increase payroll.
Then injuries, but there is always injuries but we had insufficient depth.
The players seem to have battled hard most of the year but either gave up the last few weeks or their will was broken by the effort.
Manager make plenty of mistakes, easy to blame him, but is that hindsight?
Not sure if I expect any better next year.

We had 70 to 80 mph winds, and tons of rain. Blew out a couple screen panels on the Lanai. Big tree came down on the main road of the development. Lots of debris all over the roads.
All our power lines are underground, so now issues with that.

Just wind and rain, little less than you got. Lots of debis but nothing real big and most has been cleaned up. Lost a big limb from a palm but tree is OK, just looks a little funny.
See where Clearwater Beach got clobbered. No beach visits for a while.
I have a friend who lives in St Pete. He went to Tallahassee to work in the State of Florida Operations Center as their Federal Coordination Officer. He said he lost power in his house in St Pete, and he said traffic cams were showing cars floating around the streets in his neighborhood. Funny thing was the living quarters in the Operations Center lost power, so no hot water for showers etc. He said they got hit pretty hard by the hurricane at the Op’s Center.

Anyone have a recommendation for sprinkler blowouts near Rogers/St. Michael/Dayton? I have called a few companies and most seem like they offer one single day or time and if you don’t take it, they don’t seem to care about losing your business (like the company I’ve used for 6+ years now). They are also charging ridiculous amounts like $100 now (used to be $40-50 when I first started). There is no appreciably higher real cost for the service IMO – they just charge more now because they can. Really annoying.
I am just learning about this process.
Didn’t have a separate ‘irrigation water system’ in SoCal.
Since we hired a gardener while we were absentee landlords to keep the HOA happy he will handle it this year.
Neighbors have mentioned that they ‘know a guy’ that will do it on the cheap. We will go with the gardener this year as we trust him and his prices are on the lower end of ‘normal’ around here.

Yeah, I’ve seen those too, just always seemed a little sketchy. Not that hard of a job, though. You literally hook up a commercial compressor and then just cycle the zones. Takes about 15 minutes. Not worth anywhere near $100. Gas is not THAT expensive anymore.

You don’t need a commercial pull behind compressor for sprinkler blow outs. I got sick of paying so much so I found an air compressor at a local place with a high flow rate for under $200. I’ve not had any issues blowing mine out, just takes me an afternoon instead of a half hour. I’ve now saved over $500 and I have an air compressor for other uses.
Considered that option…. Might have to do that.
Where exactly did you find this? Anything that low of price is way too little CFM for a blow out. Supposed to be like 20 CFM. Most little ones are like 2.
Mine is 5 cfm at 90 psi with a 20 gallon tank. I can’t do a continuous blowout. It can blow one section for about a minute and a half then I have to wait for it to pressure back up again. I make a couple rounds through the whole system and it’s good to go. Only replaced one sprinkler in 6 years and I’m pretty sure someone drove over that one.
Nice! I would imagine with the lower flow rate you can’t get quite as much water out of the system, but enough where freezing doesn’t damage things.
I bought mine pre covid and on sale so it’s probably a lot more now
Yup, I have a compressor that’ll do the job. I think I paid maybe $400 for the compressor, but it’s way more than I need for blowouts.

Let’s face it, only a matter of time until coaches figure out the Flores shell game, kinda like the Zim double A gap. We do seem pretty well balanced right now but I don’t think giving up an average of 10 points a game is sustainable.

Think one of the ways to beat a defense like this is to run the ball. But, this takes a strong running game, and really important, a seasoned QB that can make adjustments at the LOC.
Not sure Packers have this, but Jets with Rogers may be a test.
I think the talent on the defense is the reason it is hard to counter.
A solid running game will hurt for sure. Also, a running QB can cause issues.
I hope nobody figures anything out until next season.
Well we’ve won every single game we played in London so far, we’re bound to lose one eventually. If the Vikes keep playing as they did the 1st three games I can see them winning both at lameblow and in London again…

Man, we’ve been watching the Menendez brothers drama on NF, episode 5 last night Cooper Koch as Erik is the only face you see in one long unbroken 36 minute cut with the camera slowly moving in on his face throughout the episode as he speaks to his lawyer about the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father. Talk about an unflinching look at child sexual abuse and an absolutely amazing job of staying in character without missing a line for 36 minutes straight. I was riveted. Holy hell. He deserves much praise.
I watched the movie on Hulu. Lifetime I think.
What those two went through and what they did was stressful to watch, if the movie was accurate.

I don’t have the under 10 set in my household so we are free to watch whatever catches our fancy. No animated wholesome Disney films for us. NF has a great predictive algorithm for viewers, that’s part of how they rose to dominance in the streaming field.
You can’t watch it cold now (like I did – I knew nothing about the series or this episode), but I dare you to watch that scene raw and not be affected by it. The actor better win an Emmy for that performance. Easily the most profound 35 minutes of television I’ve watched in the last five years.
I don’t know much about their current state of affairs but I would be shocked if they aren’t paroled after this.

Guess I don’t know enough about it to catch the auto tune (especially in the live on Conan performance). I’ve watched a couple of “reaction” videos with voice coaches, none of them mentioned auto tuning, but I’m not saying they didn’t use it.

The coaches do not make them studio experts. I have worked with auto-tune before and there are distinctive textures/swoops you hear when it’s pushing a voice to the correct note. It’s there on the Conan performance as well. I just can’t, and I don’t dislike Disturbed this is not a knock on them. I just wish he’d miss the notes. It’s not like he’s so far off it’s T-Pain, but he’s far enough off it’s pretty obvious if you know what to listen for. SO many people think of auto-tune as just like the T-Pain shit. That’s auto tuned cranked to 11. It’s usually used in more subtle ways. That song specifically is a song that should not have auto-tune on it imo. Such a beautiful hollow song for that shit.
This is probably the only song I’ve listened to by them, so not defending them. All songs shouldn’t have auto tune if you ask me (unless for obvious effect, like Cher) but then I’m old. Same for picture enhancements, everything doesn’t have to be perfect.
Yeah, I am cool with Auto Tune for texture. Like T-Pain. It’s not covering up for anything. Having done a fair amount of recording and been to studios and such… it ruins some things about the deceptions in the music industry. That can be good or bad, depending how you see it. Like the Disturbed song. In concept and arrangement etc… it’s a cool song. But those parts Draiman can’t those notes and you hear that auto-tune push it for him… just ruins it for me.

I think AJ is a better Pass Pro blocker than any RB we have had in a while. Chandler is getting better, and this helps a lot with our weak IOL. There was a couple of plays last week where the RB saved the play by picking up a blitzer or just helping the IOL.

I think Ingram sucks the most, hoping Risner can heal up and shore up the right side. Then we will finally know if “Mr. Reliable” is any good.

I hadn’t puked for years…my fiancee and I had recently moved in together, living in sin, fixing up our first house, newly painted walls, new carpet, etc.
Woke up about 4 am – stomach rumbling – ahh I think it’ll be okay – back to sleep – wake up five minutes later uh oh I don’t think I’ll make it – projectile barfed on the wall just outside the bathroom. My love bug was less than impressed.

One Christmas Eve one year we had one puking in the toilet and one in the bathtub at the same time, followed by a couple more getting sick a little later. Needless to say we skipped Christmas at the Grandparents that year. My wife can’t handle the smell, she will start puking herself, so guess who gets to deal with it? (fortunately my oldest can help out if it isn’t her getting sick).
As grandparents my wife and I have had our share of puking grandkids when they were young. Doesn’t bother us one bit, whereas their parents can’t clean it up without vomiting themselves. I guess owning dogs has its advantages, goodness knows they puke often enough.
Now a diaper explosion spilling over? No thanks. Short of an emergency I hope to never change a diaper again.
I’d rather do diaper blowouts than vomit.

No big deal quickly remove diaper and put new one on, I don’t need the changing mat. Wrong, he started crapping and all I could do to prevent it from getting on their new carpet was catch it in my hand.
Apparently he had been waiting a couple of days for this to happen. I think he crapped out more poop than his stomach could possibly hold.

Our granddaughter only puked once while she was here, or at least that was what I was told. I never saw it or heard it, so I’m good.
What’s real fun is when you have a kid sitting on the toilet having diarrhea and also puking into the garbage can at the same time. At least the last time that happened, the kid was old enough to take care of it herself. Good thing, because I was sick too. We all got something at our Christmas get together.
