NFL is flexing some games and attempting to improve what we are forced to watch in Prime Time. No impact on the Vikings yet, but they are removing a stinker (Browns Bungles) week 16 and letting us watch the most evil coach ever and his Broncos play the Chargers. Wife is happy, she thinks the Vikings should have taken Bo Nix and she takes every good game he has as proof that she is smarter than Kwesi.

Sunday Salutations Skolskers!
Nebraska beat Wisconsin yesterday to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2016 – City was electric last night. Everyone smiling. Vanquished a foe that had our number for years (and one of the worst fan-bases in college football – last time Bucky came to Lincoln a bunch of them were arrested by UNLPD for dumping piss on old ladies)
Expecting a typical NFC Norf battle today. Been my experience that you can throw out the records with these two teams.
My favorite win @ Chicago:
November 2, 1992 – Minnesota @ Chicago on MNF. Vikes win 38-10. Jack Del Rio has an 84 yard pick 6, Carlos Jenkins tacked on another pick 6 in the 4th quarter and the Vikings rolled. It was 3 days before my 15th birthday.
Honorable Mention win @ Soldier Field:
AD’s rookie year. Chicago’s vaunted Defense with Urlacher, Briggs and Peanut Tillman – and AD owned them. Best player on the field. His most important play that day was on a kick return that he nearly housed. Longwell booted the game winner and a legend was born.
Don’t care how we do it – just gotta get that W today.

Yeah they seem tougher this year than previous Rodent teams.

I’m with several others in saying the Die Hard is my favorite Christmas movie. But I’m with Gone fishin’ that Peanuts Christmas is right up there.

Die Hard is a great movie, right up there with Predator and a few others that I have to stop and watch whenever they come on. (here’s looking at you Holy Grail and Princess Bride)

A Christmas Story is always a classic in our home. We have it on every Xmas morning. Christmas Vacation is pretty good.
Ohio St-Indiana about to start.
Later it is the Catholics vs the Army. Even though I am Catholic I have to root for underdog and undefeated Army today. I will go to confession later for that.
And with the new computer and fiber optics I can now stream those games on my new puter with no issues.

I figure with a Gabe Murphy coming off IR they will have to make a cut. Having a deep roster is a good problem to have.

So many wonderful Christmas movies. A few that come to mind – original Miracle on 34th Street. Rudolph the red nose Rain Deer ( Burl Ives voice), and of course Die Hard. Some very different ones.
Wife and I watched Die Hard on Christmas Eve for 15 yeas or so.
Messed up a chuck roast in the smoker last weekend. about 1/2 of it was a bit dry.
Great flavor and smoke ring, but the smoker temp crept up on me.
So, today the cubed beef is in the crock pot, and I added a pound of jalapeno bacon and 1 pound of ground pork and I am making chili, with no beans, the way god intended.
i did a big batch of fish and corn chowder yesterday. a great recipe with wild Brown trout, which tend to have a strong flavor, so the cream and spices of the chowder temper the fishiness. Oh, it was excellent, and will be excellent again tonight!
Cold, wet and windy here.
Just started a big crock-pot of stew and will whip some biscuits just before dinner.
It will be enough to see us thru the weekend.
Well done good sir. I’m doing that cheddar stuffed meatloaf one of you shared a couple weeks ago.

Not sure on favorite holiday movie, there are many that I like.
Peanuts Christmas is tough to beat.
