Vikings vs. Cardinals

We’ve gotten accustomed to the Vikings coming out strong, building a lead, then giving the lead away but pulling it off in the end. Today was much different. Today, the offense never really showed up until the 4th quarter. The defense handled their business, but the Cardinals scored enough to get ahead, and were in the lead for the entire game. Well, the entire game until there was about 1:15 left in the 4th quarter. The Vikings defense kept the team in the game just enough. Down by 6, the Vikings offense marched down the field, having by far their best drive of the day, and a TD pass to Aaron Jones put them ahead. The defense then came out, stifled the Cards offense, and Shaq Griffin sealed the win with an interception on 4th and 10. Final score was 23-22, Vikings on top, of course.

It was ugly, but it was a win. The Minnesota Vikings are now 10-2 and sitting in a REALLY good spot for the playoffs. With the injuries the Lions have suffered, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them stumble a bit. I know the offense needs to play better, but it’s still a fun year to be a Vikings fan, SKOL!!!!!!!!

For everything?
Seems like that would take several pardons.

Probably. I just saw a quick “breaking news” on Football Night in America.

Biden. “ I will not pardon Hunter. He has done nothing wrong”

Shocked. Not shocked.

Well Trump has a lot of Jan 6ers and friends and family to pardon after 4 years of Lawfare by FJB’s DOJ.

I feel like Moreau, did a pretty good job coming in for Gilmore. Other than the non pass interference call he got.

I would prefer Atlanta plays Kirk next week. Our record of making the backup qb look like a hall of famer is not something I want to see happen again.

I am concerned about that game. Mostly because Kirko has been so shitty the last two weeks, that he is “due” for a less terrible game.

Defense is suppose to be complicated enough to confuse rookie QBs.
KC is not a rookie.
And although he threw 4 Int today he has also thrown for 500 yards in a game this year as well.

Penix would be the easier matchup I suspect so we will probably see KC.

Don’t forget that kirk practice against this defense all last year too.

No Cashman, no Greenard, no Van Ginkel, no Gilmore, no Shaq Griffin, no Murphy Jr, no Grugier-Hill last year.
The starting defense is not the same as last year, and I would say much improved.

Moss battling a health issue.
My guess is glaucoma.
Hopefully not worse than that.

I was just typing about that when you posted.
Didn’t sound life threatening.
Hopefully you are correct.

Although my eyesight is the last sense I would want to lose.

Totally shocked the Vikings won that one.
Still alive for the division somehow.

Feels like we stole that one.

Darnold was great in the 4th Quarter.

Nice to see us fight back in a game down 2 scores and come back and get the W.

Really wish next week was primetime……

Hope we stop shooting ourselves in the foot by the playoff.
We could have a chance if we managed that.

I purposely stayed away from the game thread to spare you all from my in-game negativity.

That means I can also come here and say that I never doubted even once. You can’t prove otherwise.

I thought Sam was very clutch in the 4th quarter today. Happy to see Aaron Jones come back with the game-winning TD reception.

I try to shut my yap when I am feeling negative.
Have been known to write a doomer post and cancelling over posting it.
This teams has proving it is a good strategy this year.

Nice comeback win, Vikes have shown that they can indeed snatch victory from the jaws of defeat this season for once, apparently.

Overcoming mistakes is good.
Not shooting themselves in the foot in the 1st place would be better IMHO.

Definitely. Just good to know that they are capable of doing it when necessary. Team didn’t give up and fought back to win this one, that’s refreshing.

Old computer froze after the TD.
New computer didn’t recognize its new keyboard so I would watch the end but not comment on it.

Never a doubt. Love watching all the doomers being wrong again.

I did say when we got behind 19-6 that maybe that would wake up the Offense.
And it did, 17 pts after that.
Almost-called it.

It was a solid come from behind win. Cards played hard nosed football today.

Couldn’t watch the game.
Was surprised how easily the Cards moved the ball.
Thankfully they kept settling for FGs.
