I ate rotisserie chicken today, must have contained gluten. Yuck, Felt worse & worse since I ate it. this is gonna be a shitty night. tomorrow will be better, hoping to take the kiddos ice fishing.
I thought rotisserie chicken would be safe, but I was reading about it and it says a lot of times the brine has gluten. Dammit.

I know. I thought it would be safe. I’ve only accidentally eaten gluten a couple times, and it’s the same thing every time. The severity depends on how much gluten is in it. I’m sitting here in my recliner with a bucket next to me. Kiddo has a basketball game, but I won’t be making it.
Trying some peppermint tea, it usually helps.
I feel like a dumbass for not checking. I normally don’t eat out, but I was a long way from home today, so I stopped at a grocery store to grab something.

It’s GF’s thing (and a lot of North Dakotans feel similar seeing how they are always pulled over around these parts) but I never understand speeding. 70 is plenty fast to get from here to there, then there is the whole logarithmic (sp?) increase in gas consumption the faster you go, followed by the survivability of suddenly leaving the asphalt behind at highway speeds.

Many of the photos/shots you see in baseball and football cards are taken in preseason – at camps, spring training and preseason games. Lots of the cards from the 70’s and 80’s era show players in pads and shorts – or no pads at all. Pro Set & Topps started taking more action shots during preseason games in the late 80’s & 90’s.
That’s what Kirk’s 2025 card will look like.

If someone is not going to travel to another nation because you don’t care for their politics, then most people are not going to do much traveling. If this author won’t come to the US, then I would assume that the only place she can travel is to Western Europe and maybe Australia. Most of Africa? Nope. Most of Eastern Europe? Nope. A good chunk of Asia? Nope. Most of Central and South America? Nope.

My brother is a big fisherman and he keeps a trailer at a resort in Canada. We are going up with them in July. I am not a fisherman, but there will be 6 of us going and I plan on doing a lot sitting around reading and enjoying nature. The resort is very rural so I really doubt there will be a lot of political discussion.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. Its not like it helps keeps people from getting any less drunk, they just drink more of the beer/ cheaper shit. It also gets cheaper the further you get from Music Row.
When we went it was my wife, 3 kids, their significant others and my mother and MIL. My wife and I covered 90% of the trip for a week.

If we hadn’t paid for most of it, not everyone would have been able to go. We were happy to do it, we hadn’t been on a family vacation for many years.

The Teacher and I have been having this ongoing debate/running joke.
Whenever I let her know I am headed to the shower she tells me to ‘enjoy’. I reply that ‘that is not the purpose of a shower’, it is to get clean.
Looking back, growing up in a 7 person family (1 shower), then Basic/Army Training, then Germany (they are taught to take 8m showers), then SoCal (where there is constantly a water shortage) has conditioned me.
So I got to wondering what is ‘considered normal’ length of time for a ‘shower’ is. I will hang up and listen to your answers, thanks.

We have a pretty small shower here, considering a remodel.
Plus her ‘shower routine’ takes more than an hour, hair included.

Actual time in the shower or the whole bathroom routine? My actual shower time is around 10 to 15 minutes.
On average 10 minutes, but if I have been doing a lot of physical labor and my body is sore, I will take an extra couple of minutes to soak in the hot water.

Regular shower: maybe 10 minutes.

Depends on whether I am shaving or not. I only shave my face twice a week, my head once a week…when not shaving about 10 minutes.
All of that is in the ‘same with me’ category.
Except for the ‘shave my head’ part.
I struggled at first and had to do lots of touch ups, but now I can do the face and head combo in about 6-7 minutes. It’s a learning process, but I soap my head and stubble and keep my head out of the shower stream while I do the rest of my body…then put on some shaving cream. Start with going back with the baby soft residual hair on the top of my head, then pull up from the nape of the neck over the top, then the sides of the head up, then down both sides of the face, up from the neck in front, finishing with the goatee and mustache area. Idea being to do the softest hair first and finish with the peppercorn stuff. You do it all by feel, of course.
Try it, you will love it! Your wife might not…but does she check with you whether she should wear victoria secret to bed or a nightgown?
Since I have a full head of hair I doubt I will be needing tips on shaving my head any time soon.
But if I ever do reach that point I will remember your procedure.

I have body wash and I use that on ‘all of me’.
The Army taught me that hair is not important enough other than to hack down to manageable amount occasionally.

But I love me a hot shower, particularly in the winter.
I might be in longer than 10 minutes some days.
If I feel chilled or achy after a good workout I might take an extra minute or even two under the hot water.

That last part worked a bit. He rarely got pulled over and I never heard of him getting a ticket.
