Kwesi is talking to the press tomorrow. My guess is, they announce he is getting a new contract. Guy is doing a very good job with the free agent/offseason part of roster building. Now, about his draft history…..

From 1963-2023, 127 injunctions against a sitting President were issued nationwide. Just over half were issued against Trump during his first term, 64 to be exact. There’s already been 37 injunctions against Trump in the first two months of his second term.
They have to try to slow him down somehow.
Otherwise he will fix all the crap that they have been up to.
Stefon Diggs reached agreement on a three-year, $69 million deal including $26 million guaranteed with the New England Patriots.
No doubt going there because it gives him the best chance to win a Superb Owl.
Laughing… absolutely.
It’s all about the munny hunny….
I thought KAM was supposed to have a press conference today?
Presser is Wednesday.
Ahhh soooo… thought it was today.
Russell Wilson to Giants, 21million
The Giants and Russell Wilson reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $21 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed.
I think Rodgers will sign with the Steelers.
Giants were desperate.
Next is The Douche to the poor Steelers.
I’m surprised that hasn’t happened already.
Sounds like Steeler Fans hate The Douche as much as we do.

Laughing… nobody’s perfect… at least we know Rodgers isn’t coming here. Right?
Thankfully!
Watching the NFL Players Classic on the golf channel.
Man, I am bored.
Is it August yet?
Also, Drake Maye is about as accurate a golfer as he is a QB.
Bad…..
Watching golf is synonyms with boring.
Accurate. For me at least.
Normally I watch golf on the weekends when I want a nap.
Like playing the game, but watching it is worse than watching soccer.
I posted the article Freezey, but it keeps disappearing… not sure why. Some security thing on the site? Dunno.
Oh, it says “awaiting approval”.
Need an Admin to assist.
Skolholes said my email address was suspicious. Had it for decades. Was going to ask brad but he seems out to lunch.
norseman1 is always suspicious.
we are watching you
I have had that happen Brad/GF said it has to do with too many links in the post.
Not sure if that is what happened to you, but stuff happens, sometimes for a reason.
I was correct, 10 links in your article.
One more time to be right today.
#brokenclock
Laughing. Way to go SoCal. I was just trying to help Freezey. Guess I need to take out links in the future. Appreciate the insight.
I found out the hard way, think I posted that article 3 or 4 times before I figured out what was causing it.
It was a list of players and each name was a link, had to delete and rewrite each one.
Got done about the time Brad came on the approve the post.
I was slacking. Away from my PC.

Trade down: Minnesota Vikings
The pick: No. 24
In his first couple of drafts, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah leaned into trading down and adding extra draft picks. In 2024, though, he went in the opposite direction. He traded up before the draft even took place, sending a pair of second-round picks to the Texans to add an additional first-rounder. He then moved up twice in Round 1, sending two picks to the Jets to move up one spot for quarterback J.J. McCarthy, then shipping three more to the Jaguars to jump ahead six spots for edge rusher Dallas Turner.
In all, by the Stuart chart, Adofo-Mensah traded away 10 picks and 73 points worth of draft capital. In return, he landed the 10th and 17th picks and sixth- and seventh-round selections. Those picks are worth 37.4 points. In other words, the Vikings paid nearly $2 for every $1 of draft capital they used. The difference between the two sides is more than the value of the No. 1 overall pick (34.6 points) in a typical draft.
Objectively, those moves are off to a worrying start. McCarthy missed the season with a knee injury, and while the Vikings couldn’t have known their quarterback of the future would get injured, they’re already down one year of the value provided by his rookie deal. Moving up one spot for him made sense, but the more curious move was to compound the predraft trade up by making a second deal to jump into the teens for Turner. The pass rusher had a quiet first season, with three sacks and five knockdowns on 300 snaps.
It’s still too early to draw significant conclusions from those trades, and one of the reasons Turner wasn’t able to crack the starting lineup was the success of Adofo-Mensah’s free agent signings, with Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel having great seasons for the 14-3 Vikings. It would be wrong to call their 2024 anything but a success, even if they didn’t get much from their first-round picks.
At the same time, Minnesota had the league’s oldest team by snap-weighted age. And after trading multiple picks in deals for Turner and running back Jordan Mason, it doesn’t have second-, fourth- or seventh-round selections in this draft. The Vikings have a league-low four picks and the least draft capital of any team by Stuart’s model. Naturally, they will expect more out of McCarthy and Turner in their second seasons, but this team needs to add more young talent to its roster.
I’m sure KAM is greasing up the trade machine… it will be interesting to say the least.
anyone on here have espn plus? i was curious about what the article “trade up/trade down, what 8 teams should do” says about the vikings.
i’m just trying to read as much vikings content as possible.
I have ESPN+
I’ll take a look.
+=$$. Eff them.
Here you go Freezy
I’m curious to see the sum of all parts…
so what does the pass rush look like if all of these pieces play well together?
it would make it a lot harder to game plan if you constantly have to pick your poison up front while knowing that if you’re getting your tail kicked in one spot, making a change in order to address the problem will only open another hole…
Extra blockers, running backs and tight ends chipping and quick passes.
Indeed… lots of short stuff… That takes pressure off the backside and everyone gets a little bit better…
i am also interested in seeing what Flores does with 2 Legit inside Dlinemen. I think he kind of made due with what he had. but now that he doesn’t have to “cheat” with rushing Edge guys inside (like he did with his Nascar Package), i wonder if his schemes can change more and more with having guys like Allen and Hargraves inside (who are both known for creating pressure all by themselves
Not to mention they will be playing with big leads in most, if not all games.
If the QB now has time in the pocket, it will make a difference.
On average, the line and the running game has to be an improvement. If they have to respect the run, then it could be a very different year offensively…
Our running game was tied with the Titans for 19th place in the league in yards per game.
Yeah, we could use some improvement there.
B Flo has been cobbling together a defense for a while now. Perhaps if his lawsuit and previous reputation hold him away from being a HC candidate he will stay another year or two.
Musk found millions of people in the Social Security database that were not marked as “deceased” even though by their birthdate, they were over 120 years old. To me, this is not too surprising, because updates to the database are manual, and frankly, it’s pretty understandable that folks don’t notify Social Security about the death of a loved one, either out of ignorance or just laziness. Then there are those who purposely don’t contact Social Security to keep collecting benefits.
The question Americans should ask is not how many people are in the database that are over 120 years old, but how many are receiving checks?
But…but those Senior Citizens are due what they are owed, even if they are dead!!
I resemble that remark sir…
Me too, or it is three?
THAT is the question.
I’m not going to go CRAZY over all these 120-150 year olds that aren’t marked deceased in the database, like i would if all of them were still receiving the benefits.
But the Libs don’t want us to access the info to see if they are receiving benefits.
Musk/Doge = bad so 150 year olds getting benefits would be just fine.
SS has been out of whack since the baby boomers came along. But the huge escalation when Obama signed up all “medical” reason folks during his administration. All the bad backs and mental conditions. Who knows how legit all of these are, but there is huge money going out the door in this area.
And most of these people didn’t pay much in and are considerable younger than normal retirement age.
Once you give a few an inch no matter how justified then many will take a mile just because they can.
That is how we went from ‘medical marijana’ to half the country legalizing it.
Disability, survivor benefits etc. Can’t squeeze blood from a turnip.
Graft like that needs to be destroyed. Note sure what DOGE will do next. Understaffing seems to be garnering anger. Work 40-50 years and contributing along with employers to SS do not threaten them. Some live soley on that check, how i don’t know.
It’s not the people that payed in 40 to 40 years that are the problem. And when they die, the payments stop.
But when a 26 year old says he hurt his back, is declared disabled and draws full benefits (tax free until 65) for the rest of his life, that is a problem. The system was not designed for that.
CORRECT.
I drove for UPS for 30 years. They used to belong to a multi pension fund called Central States. UPS bought out of it because they were paying funds to people who’s company went bankrupt decades ago and not contributing. Same concept.
And forgot to mention, these guys get free Medicare too in addition to SS payments.
Correct also. 1+1 does not equal 10.
They paid the last civil war benefit in the 1970s… and it was totally legit.
some old soldier married a much younger woman and she collected his $25 a month till she passed away…
So FanDuel has Vikings currently ranked below everyone else in the NFC North in their current ‘Power Rankings’, 10 overall.
I could have seen the overall ranking last season but it would still be ahead of the Bares.
https://thevikingage.com/minnesota-vikings-already-bulletin-board-material-2025-season
Yeah, opinions are like a-holes right?
The Vikings defense was 5th in the league in points allowed, which is pretty much the end all, be all stat for a defense. While every year is its own entity, it’s reasonable to “expect” that defense to be pretty good again this year. The offense is arguably better, with the new O-line additions, and the fact it’s in its 4th year of maturity under KOC and Wes Phillips.
The NFC North is a pretty good division these days, with the Lions, the Vikings, and the Packers being very competitive in the last few years. The Bears made a lot of moves to improve their team recently too, so indeed the NFC North is going to be interesting this season.
I guess one could argue that the Vikings on paper have the least “qualified” QB in the Division, since while Caleb Williams didn’t exactly light up the league last year, he did start 17 games. That’s currently 17 more games than our QB. Also, Williams was the #1 pick in the draft, intoning he “must” be better than McCarthy. I do not ascribe to this reasoning personally, but pundits are gonna pundit.
So the one player changes the outlook for the entire team. Enough to put them 5-6 places up?
And even now I would take JJ (QB) over The CryBaby.
If it is clickbait not sure who they are thinking to get more clicks from?
Actually opinions are like armpits… everyone has two and they both stink?
You are rolling heavy with the snark today.
I salute you Sir.
Just imagine where we would be if Kirk didn’t take up 81% of our salary cap for the last 7 years… Man, I hate that guy.
Worst contract in the history of the NFL.
i mean that’s kind of a ridiculous statement…
more like 79% of the salary cap
Both 81 and 79% seem odd to me.
Plus studies have shown that 63.5% of statistics are made up on the spot.
Fine, split the difference. 80%. That’s even.
Haha I actually had 79% typed out and changed it when I realized with how much people here complain about him it had to be higher.
Only reason it wasn’t 90% is because of the dead years.
Lookin jacked
Looks like the change that was tested yesterday isn’t working.
Actions speaking louder than words here (they’ve all but communicated it), and I think JJ is right…they’ve done it that way so that nothing is “handed to him.”
Too fat.
Kay Adams is cute
Yup.
Cute and knowledgeable about football.
A very nice combination IMHO.
Someone should ask her why do they call a Quarterback, a Quarterback?
And whatever happened to the 3/4back (full, 3/4, half, and quarter)?
Well prior to the implementation of the T formation in the 1940’s, the offense had four backs in the their formations. The Fullback lined up the farthest away from the line of scrimmage. Halfway between the Fullback and the line, two Halfbacks lined up side by side. Finally a quarter of the way between the fullback and the line, was the Quarterback.
Any of the four backs could run the ball, or pass the ball.
Then as the game modernized over the years, the terminology remained, but the formations, alignments and roles changed. Of course in the I formation, the Halfback became the Tailback, and now they’re just called running backs, but the Quarterback is still the Quarterback, and the Fullback is still the Fullback, even if he now lines up behind the Quarterback, and in front of the Running back.
Thanks for the knowledge.
I will rock the next trivia game our family has.
#grin.
Welcome
The new girl on GMFB isn’t too bad and she’s a Vikings fan.
Not bad but no Kay Adams IMHO.
Not trying to kink shame, but are you talking about Adams or McCarthy?
I am talking about Kay, not sure what others are referring to exactly.
She was better before all the face work.
Remember last year, when many claimed the Vikings would suck without Kirko?
I personally said Darnold had the ability to play well.
Look it up if you don’t believe me.
Believe I said Darnold would be CPOY, throw for 4000 yards and 30 TD’s. I under estimated. And we’d make the playoffs if the defense just improved a little bit.
Now there were many who said that it was a rebuilding year and don’t even worry about wins/loses untill 25 and beyond.
Yeah, that was the position I remember. Wait till next year.
I do remember Kfey saying that. What a kirk homer Kfey is
Yeah, guy just loves him some Khaki-wearing, beef-grilling, vanilla personality dad.
I’m catching what you’re throwing.
It’s almost time for mock drafts.
I figure once April hits, it is off to the NFL draft simulator!
Not a lot of drafting to do with only 4 picks currently.
I am interested in seeing what trade they will offer me at #24 and what players fall to that spot.
It will be wrong but still interesting.
Yeah, hopefully Kwesi trades with the Lions: #24 for a 3rd and a 5th. Sounds like something idiotic he would do.
‘Hopefully’?
haha sarcasm. I’m still mad about the lions trade a couple years ago.
Or double down.
tuesdays are THE WORST DAY OF THE WEEK…
and not because it’s kirk tuesday. I’m not sure why the Lord decided to make tuesday suck so bad but they really do.

Wonder if we’ll find a QB2 today?
I am fine with the team waiting until after the draft to make a decision there.
OK, is the logic here, that some team is going to draft a rookie QB, and release an incumbent backup QB for us to scoop up?
That, or we may pick up a QB in the draft. Not very likely, since this is a weak QB class, but it is possible. I still think we are going to sign Tannehill.
My logic is that there are current QB2’s that will be either released or the Vikings have an eye on a few practice squad guys from last season. Or, they realize that the remaining viable Vets are not really going anywhere so there is no need to rush this.
What they are looking for is an “In case of emergency, break glass” type of signing. I am honestly fine with Rypien as a backup for now. They can evaluate in August to decide if they need someone with more experience. Flacco and Keenum and Dobbs and who knows how many others, will still be sitting around waiting.
Yep.
At this point, there is no rush or hurry to find a QB just because people say we need one.
JJ is the starter.
There will be an adequate QB2 in July or August.
Dobbs is a one-trick pony. Please no.
Tommy Devito after Russ signs in New Jersey and they draft Sanders.
Hmmm… Tommy DeVito…. OK. Possible. Is that going to be good for McCarthy? I am not being combative, just wondering out loud how DeVito advances the learning curve for the young QB.
Another option might be Aidan O’Connell since the Ders traded for Geno.
Don’t know much about O’Connell other than he was drafted in ’23. Like the Levis speculation I posted over the weekend I don’t see much ‘mentoring’ from young QBs for JJ (QB).
No way Kevin isn’t going to try and get his son on the team.
Nepotism?
Why not it worked so well during the Zim era?
