Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
This will be brief, I cut my finger whilst cleaning my garage and typing is not easy. I had fat fingers already. The schedule was officially released last night, and the Vikings have two prime time games to open the season. Hopefully KOC has the boys ready for the big time.
Vikings News
Your 2025 Minnesota Vikings schedule, courtesy of Vikings.com. The Vikings will host a Christmas Day game for the third time in the team’s history.
The Vikings schedule is ranked as the ‘5th toughest’ in the NFL, also from Vikings.com. That’s okay, I believe last year’s schedule was one of the toughest, too, and they won 14 games.
The Vikings have two prime time games to open the 2025 season, they’re on the road in Chicago in the opener, and then they host the Falcons in week 2.

I should have…
Better luck next time?
At least you learned the lesson on a lesser game not something important like a Viking game.
Brock Purdy and 49ers agree to $265M 5 year extension.
$181M in guarantees, an AVG of $53M a year.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/article/brock-purdy-agrees-to-5-year-265-million-contract-extension-with-49ers-210128832.html
Unless Purdy is too good to pass up, he won’t see the full $265 million as reported. If he gets the first 3 years at $53 million avg, that’s good for Purdy.
Friday’s usually slower but if no new thread it seems worse.
People were thinking this morning “why post there will be a new thread in a little while”.
And then no tread but not many comments cause people were waiting for the new thread.
Now they figure why bother today since no one is posting.
I’m kinda that way too. I’ll check and see nothing new so i check later.

It might take a little time to get there but get there we eventually will.
My feet are aching today.
The Teacher had an appointment at the Rec Center/Gym to familiarize with the weight machines. So she spend an hour on that, then walked an hour on the track and then stretched and cooled down.
That gave 2hr 50m to power walk with 2ea 5lb weights. I had a decent pace and managed 51 laps or 10.2 miles. 116 avg BPM, 171 Cardio Load, 1,955 Cals burned per Fit Bit.
Yeah, I am taking today off to recover.
Great job!
I have my learned that I might not be the quickest but I can go on and on for a long time. Kind of Energizer Bunny like.
Between marathons, 25k runs, 20 mile road marches, ’24 and then 48 Defenses’, long shifts and extended exercises, etc I can go strong for a long time.
10 plus power walk is a serious walk. Sort of like a forced Army march.
You deserve a ‘treat’ of your choice.
We had 20 Mile Forced Marches in Berlin, but that was with a 30-40 lb rucksack added on.
I remember one a Berlin man came out and handed out cans of beer to soldiers as well passed. Some drank then right then and there, I saved mine for the end and was so tired and thirsty that I didn’t care that it was alcoholic.
The 1SG did not care and gave the ok for drinking those beers in the name of good relations with the Berliners.
Good work! Just saw this today:

I read that, but for longer walks, 60m+, they just talk about the mental positives, less stress or depression, etc.
Happy Friday Skolos!

Always nice to see the Goose. He looks good.
Happy Friday!
In other important news, I think my wife and I might try to go to the Vikes oversees game. She is retired, I am semi-retired, can’t think of a real good reason not to go.
Sounds like a great trip.
Was considering it myself but The Teacher is already planning a trip to Hawaii in Oct with the daughter and family. She going to be a glorified babysitter but all expenses paid so she is willing to spend time with granddaughter in Hawaii.
All the more reason for you to go…..
I talked to my wife about it.
She didn’t sound excited. She is not a Vikings fan.
We went to a Vikings game for our honeymoon, she is a huge fan. I am kind of lucky there.
Our first weekend together I took The Teacher to SF for a Viking game.
We also did touristy stuff and this was before SF went all the way down the toilet.
I didn’t tell her where we were going, just to pack for lots of weather.
Vikings won so it was a great weekend.
it’s funny, my wife who is only vikings fan because i am…
said she would love to go to dublin to watch the vikings play this year…
There you go! Get the tickets!!
Write it off as a (home) school expense.
Or, change one or two car batteries at his $500 per hour rate.
DO IT!
WE are considering doing both….I think we can get it done for about 8K
my wife wants to go to the Dublin game. I prefer not to spend the money
Awesome! Did you pick one of the games already, or are you going to do both?
responded above….
As far as I can tell tickets are not available yet.
Indeed, tickets will become available sometime in the future.
Happy Friday, I think (checks), yes Friday.
WI Judge who let criminals escape her court room from ICE agents, pleads not guilty, claiming she has judicial immunity.
ie…….the laws don’t apply to her.
She said she was keeping everyone in her courtroom ‘safe’ which was in her role as judge making her immune from prosecution.
But they were not in her courtroom when she sent them away so she could sneak the scum out the back door, nor were they going to arrest him in her courtroom.
Legal does not equal logical so it will be interesting to see if DOJ can bring home the win on this one.

Buxton/Correa collided. Both in concussion protocol. Can’t make the shit up.
Theyll be fine – if either of them got an actual concussion from that then they are both made of glass.
Have you seen Buxton’s injury history???
I know haha – but that was all external limbs, ankle, knee, wrist etc. If he got a concussion from that mild of a collision

According to some new book that just came out, Caleb Williams initially tried to avoid being drafted by the Chicago Bears — and he considered extreme measures to prevent it from happening.
Williams was so concerned about being picked by the Bears that he and his dad, Carl Williams, considered different avenues to avoid that — from circumventing the NFL draft to figuring a way around the league’s collective bargaining agreement to signing with the United Football League.
Carl Williams consulted Archie Manning, who helped Eli Manning choose his team in 2004, in looking for a way around the league’s collective bargaining agreement to give his son a chance to choose his team.
“I don’t want my son playing for the Bears,” Williams told several agents in 2024.
The Cry Baby wanted to play for the Vikings and KOC reportedly.
Don’t know why anyone would want to play, or live, in Chicago personally.
Apparently one of the concerns was the possibility of getting shot in Chicago.
Caleb claims no one sat down and watched tape with him, or worked with on breaking down tape. He was alone in his game prep. Eberflus obviously screwed the pooch there.
Ben Johnson is a different breed of cat. I’m a little worried he can actually turn the Bears offense into a big threat.
Worried about being shot. He’s from DC, not a big difference.
It’s like a Russian being worried about moving to China because of Communism.
That’ll be the day. The division is going to come down between the Vikings and Lions fighting for first and the Bears and Packers fighting for the cellar.
The Lions reached their zenith and blew it. The Packers are always there and close and the Bears are never there.
I have a feeling this is the year that the conversation begins on if it’s time to move on from Love.
Packers fans around here were having that convo last year until he went on a good streak. Now he’s the greatest thing again.
Their success though really comes down to their defense.
Hmmm… Love has two years as the starter, and his first year he threw 32 TD’s against 11 interceptions. If McCarthy throws like that this year, you’ll be doing back flips.
His second year starting, he only played 15 games, and still threw 25 TD’s and 11 interception. In his two years as the full time starter, he’s thrown 57 TD’s and 22 interceptions in 32 games.
Definitely time to get rid of him…
Captain QB Defender to the rescue! Just wait. He will be mediocre at best this year and it will be a serious conversation in the offseason.
Oh, and JJ is going to throw 35+ TDs, 4000+ yards, win the division, win at least one playoff game and there will be no doubt about his future greatness.
I’ll take that bet.
Put up or shut up time Bow.
Oh, now a little snarky attack on me because his production has been really good? Give it up Bow.
You listed passing TDs as a stat to show he’s great. He was 11th in 2024, average. 19th in passing yards, below average. Darnold was 5th in passing yards and 5th in passing TDs. Darnold is not the 5th best QB in the league. His coach carried him, the same as Love’s except Darnold is better than Love so LaFleur can only do so much. I would bet money that either LaFleur is fired or Love is seriously considered as a cut or trade if the Packers don’t make the NFCCG.
Laughing… Darnold has been in the league for 7 years, and is in a word, seasoned. Love has started two seasons. Puhleeze. Sam has had exactly one good season in his career. Last year. Know who has never had a bad season?
Yeah. That would be the young guy Love.
And Love has only had one good season, one and a half if you want to be generous and the only reason that half existed was because Jones came back. Love is Teddy 2.0
Actually, that’s not fair to Teddy. Love is more like Ponder 2.0.
Laughing, right… you are not very sharp.
But Love also sat behind Rodgers a few years. So while he is a 2 year starter, he is more experienced than most 2 year starters
But I thought the Vikings are doomed this year because JJ has never started a game and the fact that he was in the room and on the sideline means nothing?
Why would you think that? Damn Bow, haven’t you ever watched McCarthy play? He’ll be fine.
Darnold or Love – interesting comparison.
Certainly above my abilities to guess.
But I would venture this, and bet all the beer in Texas on it, if you asked all 32 GM’s in the league to pick one of the two as your starting QB next year, who would win in a landside.
I bet you would get a decent split. Probably heavy to Love because Darnold had some bad years, but after last year I bet that would be a closer vote than you might think.
Not really – and I’m a Sam fan who predicted his success with us last year.
But I also saw Sam the last two games of the year and I saw the mistakes he has made throughout his career.
There are very few guys in the league that have Love’s arm talent and can make some of the throws he does. But he makes boneheaded plays too. But so does Sam with not quite as much talent.
But I’ll leave this up to you QB experts.
I’m just repeating what I’ve heard from actual QB experts (guys that played successfully in the NFL and not just in High School in the 1930s). Real QBs aren’t that impressed with Love. They will acknowledge there is potential there, but that’s still all it is, potential.
I didn’t know Tom Brady and Kurt Warner went to High School in the 30’s. Manning too, but he might have.
And I was listening to Sean McVay talking about some of the most talented QB’s in the NFL. But of course, he never played in the NFL so what does he really know.
Can you share the video of Brady, Warner, Manning and McVay saying that Love is leagues better than Darnold or are you arguing against a point I didn’t make?
Because I can give you audio of Jim Miller and others like Rich Gannon saying that Jordan Love is so far mediocre, shows flashes, but needs to clean a lot up (which shouldn’t really be the case 7 or 8 years into your career).
As you know, as I’ve said here at least 50 times I’m rather technically challenged and would have no idea to do what you ask.
That aside, are you suggesting I need to prove what I see. If so then the conversation around here, like many political ones I engage in. are going to get rather sparse.
And as a last thought, let’s examine your last post.
Did I say Brady, Manning or McVay is “leagues Better” than Darnold. No, I said they believe Love is very talented.
And if you want to do a little research of this site, no one was bigger on Sam last year and actually predicted the year he would have.
So, if you don’t want to believe what I say, do as you please.
Yes, you’re repeating someone else’s opinion. You’ve never played the position, and you don’t know what you’re talking about half the time.
Pundits get paid to be Pundits, and have heard them say things while calling games that are completely and utterly wrong.
I’m not talking about the normal idiot pundits who look for talking points. I’m talking about the honest opinion of people who have actually played the position in the NFL who all say that Love just isn’t there. He might be some day, but at this point in his career, and this is where my opinion steps in, he should be there already if he was ever going to get there. He’s had his hand held by a good offensive coach the same way Darnold did last year and he hasn’t performed as well as Darnold did. His ceiling is Sam Darnold.
I’m willing to bet you right now that Love will have a better year than Darnold this year. Let’s see how much you don’t know.
I bet he will too. I think Darnold is going to have a horrible year and possibly be benched before the year is over which is why JJ will be just fine. JJ is better than Darnold and Sam was carried by KOC last year the same way that Love is being carried by LeFleur.
BTW, in 2024 Love only played in 15 games. So his passing yards being below average etc, is not as definitive as you purport. If you are going to push a narrative, please have the courtesy to provide all the context.
63% completion rate, average. 11 interceptions in 15 games with below average down the field throw rate, average.
streaky streaky and not clutch
Couple of thoughts. One, when you. play behind two HOFer’s the standard is unfairly high.
Second, have heard numerous of the so called QB analysts say he is the second most talented QB in the league behind only Mahomes. That may or not be true, but he is talented and has big potential. That said, the graveyard is full of folks with great “potential.”
I personally think he is really talented and makes some spectacular plays but also goes thru periods with a lot of bonehead plays.
Love is definitely talented. His problem is he wants to be Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers used to say, there’s the offense we have on paper, and the offense I run on the field. He was more artist than technician.
Love saw how that methodology wrecked defenses. The problem is, there aren’t any other Aaron Rodgers out there. He is truly one of a kind. If Love gets to executing the offense as called more, rather than trying to be Aaron Rodgers, he can be one of the best in the league. If he just stays discipled, he’ll throw 35 to 40 TD’s every year.
I like his $220 million contract.
Yeah, but he can actually play at a high enough level that his team is in contention to win most games. In his 32 starts, he’s only lost by 10 points or more 3 times (once by ten points, twice by 14). All the other losses were by 4 points or less.
He’s gonna be really good for a long time (barring injury).
Nicked up last year, not sure how much on line play. Will see.
He was nicked up for sure. Anyone who thinks he’s mediocre doesn’t know shit about QB play.
#nojinx
I get the feeling that Ben Johnson didn’t contribute as much to the Lions offense as the Lions’ OL did.
I think that’s why he focused on adding OL pieces right away. I don’t think they’ll be nearly as good as what the Lions have.
I also think Caleb will perpetually be a .500 or so QB. More diva than winner. More “I’m going to try to be Superman” than “Let’s goooo! Let’s kill ’em! Follow me!” kind of attitude (like Mahomes and Brady).
Pizza is good.
No its not, Deep dish is hot ass. Its not even pizza a casserole.
They make decent thin crust as well, if that is your thing.
But Geno’s East is really good to me. If you do not care for cornmeal, and lots of crust, I understand that we have different tastes.
At least we are in synch about important things, like QB talent.
Sorry, Im in a salty mood today about some personal shit and im taking it out on everyone lol. You do you man. Its deff not for me, Im more of a NY Style / Thin Crust guy. Yes to QBs
OTA’s start May 27th
Mandatory Mini Camp June 10-12th I believe.
Not much to complain about for awhile.
The other schedule.
Twinks try for 11.
Pups in WC finals.
PGA Championship.
Minnesota Sports is so hot right now
mugatu auto reccccccccccccccccc
And still in 4st place in the division.
Yep.
I was ripped by a few on here for pointing that minor fact out.
Therefore, I’m down voting you.
I was just merely pointing out how good the AL Central is, compared to the rest of the AL.
this is the level of pettiness that i LOVE, rec for you
You made it sound like their win streak was a bad thing because they weren’t in first in the Division. They now might just be in the toughest Davison in MLB. Thats out of their control.
Queue up the victory song, boys! On to the western conference final. LFG!
My wife looks at me funny when I put on “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan. IYKYK!
“A special place where boys and girls can all be Queens”
This is what you dream of??
No Kink Shaming I guess.
That’s a US flag in that top gif.
Understood…but the Oilers picked that as their victory song, partly to pour salt on the LA Kings rivalry. Hence I play it every morning after a victory. Stu pitches back to back shutouts…defense is playing HARD…likely playing the Stars in the WCF…looks like the last Canadian team standing at conference finals is gonna be my Oilers…LFG!
As one of my online buddies proclaimed…
I do not pay attention to Hockey, but I hope your team gets a win.
Need to offset all of the past football trauma caused by being a Vikings fan.
It would be nice to see the Wolves finally win.
I don’t know music, so I missed that.
I cannot cheer for the Oilers though.
That’s fair. I don’t know your team, but most teams and their fans I am quite tolerant of. Vegas and their fans though…yah no. Trolling the Oilers forums, bragging that the over/under on goals scored by Vegas in game 1 was going to be 28…casinos buying billboards in Edmonton saying, “Hey Edmonton 00.4”.
Can’t stand Vegas either. I’m a Wild guy, and I just have this bitterness for the Oilers for some reason.
That’s OK. I like the Wild, Minnesota is a hockey state. Nevada not so much.
But if anyone plays the traitors (Stars) then I’m for them, so I guess I most likely will be an Oilers fan soon.
Crazy that after a 82 game schedule, none of the teams winning their respective divisions, that it is (likely) going to come down to the same four teams in the conference finals.
I know HUN is rooting for the Leaf killer Marchand and a Panthers-Oilers Cup series but I’d love a rematch of 2006, Canes-Oilers. However, gotta get past the Stars (I assume Jets will fold tonight on the road) first, no easy feat.
Your friend needs to learn how to spell. None of that makes any sense.
Haha yeah and what’s with capitalizing nouns? Crazy stuff.
Congrats MT, the Oilers got the job done. Would have loved to watch the game, but I wasn’t as dedicated as those German fans you mentioned in an other post. Will try to catch as many games as possible from here on out, good luck for the conference final!
Was nice for Kaspanen to get his second OT winner in the NHL (he wasn’t in the lineup until Monday, nice pickup by the team off the Blues waivers in November)…his first was with the Leafs. But as you probably know, his biggest OT goal was the gold medal game between Finland and Russia in the WJC in 2016.
Speaking of Russians, how about Vasily Podkolzin? Nice little trade pickup from the Canucks for a 4th round pick. Guy has been an absolute beast in the playoffs. Massive hits.
The depth and tough defense is what sets this team apart from last year’s. You need the defense and goalie to win you a game here and there in the playoffs that you don’t really deserve to win, and last night was just such a game.
Still love me some Draisaitl though…Herr Drai for the Conn Smythe!
I will cheer for any team that plays the Stars.
Other than that, hockey in May & June is silly and I can’t get into it.
The Vikings were top 5 in the league last year in points allowed. On average we held teams to under 20 points. We also intercepted the ball 24 times. 5 more times than the second best team. If we replicate those numbers this year, I feel really good about the upcoming season. What would really make me happy though, is if we finally get the running game going. We were 19th in the league in rushing yards per game, and 29th in rushing TD’s with just 9. We were tied for 19th in yards per carry. We were 14th in the league in rushing attempts. Those numbers aren’t very good. I hope KOC finally solves the rushing game puzzle this year. Maybe our two O-line additions will help.
Come on KOC is a former QB, do you ‘really’ think he wants to run the ball all that much. Would guess just enough to keep defenses honest and fling it.
I would think (as a former QB) being able to run the ball would be something I’d definitely want. The old adage is you run the ball to set up the pass, but these days a lot of folks say you throw the ball to set up the run. The truth is, it’s both. If you are running the ball well, and the defense has to commit an extra defender or two to the box, it gives you the opportunity to hit some nice balls over the middle for 10 to 15 yards. Conversely, if you are able to convert some decent strikes, the linebackers drop deeper, and the RB’s have more room to maneuver downfield.
Our weakness for the last 7 years has been the run game. Let’s fix that.
I’m for all that but I’m not the coach and human nature is what it is – leopards are true to their spots. a Shanahan team is going to run and pound well, and a O’Connell team is going to pass it well.
Maybe even better now that they have a good IOL.
#nojinx
There’s also pass plays that are basically extensions of the run game. I think Mason is going to be a big addition this year. Jones can’t carry a full game load for the whole season and Mason can be a wrecking ball. That combined with the improved IOL I think will give them the ability to smash it up the middle when needed. No more FGs when they get 1st and goal from the 2.
Oh for sure, lots of pass plays are basically long hand-offs. Those plays require a fast, athletic line though. The blockers have to run a long way to get out in front. Not all lines can really do that. Even in the NFL. I am very hopeful we have the horses on our line now to move the ball effectively and consistently on the ground.
‘Maybe our two O-line additions will help’
Thought we have three new O-line additions, LG-C-RG?
Good Gif is good.
I must have missed something, or forgot. Grin. I remember we added Ryan Kelly at center, and Will Fries at guard. Who am I forgetting?
Jackson in the draft.
Yep
You forgot our 1st round draft pick??
I did forget about that. First round pick should start. No idea if he’ll have a really great first year, or have some learning curve to overcome.
If the new guy is just “Average” it is an upgrade.
Well, you have a point there.
There is one more thing though. The O-line has to be in synch on every play. Blitz pickups. pulling, etc. Three new guys might not be perfect at the beginning.
‘Perfect’ is a goal not a realistic standard.
Eyeroll, OK, how about exceptionally good by NFL standards?
I am thinking Brandel has the ability to be ‘Average’.
Jacksons ceiling is much higher.
Theoretically, whenever I had a cavity in the past, I should have just pulled the tooth and gotten an implant right then.
Every tooth I ever got a cavity in is going through this process…
First cavity
Second cavity that requires root canal
Tooth eventually breaks
Tooth pulled
Implant
I should have just skipped to the end right from the beginning instead of dumping all that money into the same tooth.
In case you are wondering, I am going to finish a root canal this morning…and I know that tooth will then break within the next 5-10 years and just get pulled…
The plus side is that I only have like two more teeth this will happen too. All the others are in pretty good shape.
Root canals in my experience have been quite painful events. Hope yours goes less so.
Some are fine. Others are bad. I once had an abscessed tooth that hurt so bad that the root canal was as pleasant as scratching an itch.
This one today was uncomfortable. It is like the nerve of that tooth is connected to every part of my skull. My whole head feels like it got drilled. Today was the first time I actually yelped in the dental chair.
But, in the end, it is doable.
I know a guy who doesn’t believe in pain killing drugs that had his wisdom teeth removed without an anesthetic.
Personally, I think he is a crazy bastard for that, but he made it. He said the worst part was getting his gums flayed open.
Yeah, I personally have a pretty high pain tolerance. I had a collapsed lung for over 9 weeks once, and didn’t know it. The doctor asked if I was feeling any pain, and I said “not any more than usual”. He just looked at me.
That said, getting wisdom teeth pulled without anesthesia seems like going way overboard.
I honestly can’t imagine having wisdom teeth extracted without anesthesia. When I had mine pulled they gave me a little Valium in addition to the local anesthetic, I remember the pressure and cracking noises as they fractured the teeth. Doing that cold … eek.
Had my wisdom teeth out as young airman in 86 they knocked me out and because I was single I had to stay in hospital overnight. Young hottie wheeled me down to the room I was grinning at her thinking I was quite cool. After I got in the room I shuffeled to the latrine and when I looked into the mirror my mouth was covered in blood and spit, yeah I was cool. Nope never seen her again
I have had same process but one more step with a crown after root canal and then total failure. Once you start replacing fillings tooth breaks and then a crown. Each step is very good money for the dentist though.
Dentist said I will need a crown on this one. I will try to wait until next year when a new round of insurance kicks in on it.
I have one crown that was just put on recently. I don’t like it. It is not like my own teeth and so I have some discomfort when I eat anything hard on it.
Yeah, that’s my fear.
Spend some $$ to get work done only to feel worse.
No thanks.
My insurance covered most of it, so that part wasn’t too bad.
For me, crowns are only 50% covered. Implants, when I need them, are even a smaller percent.
That sucks.
Anyone remember “Pop Shop”? 10 oz bottles of soda sold by the case. Ruined my teeth as a kid.
I think I had 11 fillings when I was 10 years old from sugar consumption.
Anyways, I have a crown being put on yet another tooth in a couple weeks. It has lots of fillings, and is cracked.
No teeth removed yet, but I have 5 crowns, soon to be 6. And I have had 1 root canal.
Those suck. It took 4 visits to get all the root removed, since calcification happened. And they did not get it all. At least there is no pain currently.
We only allowed soda for our kids when eating out. Never had it in the house.
Both of them have much better teeth. And my wife has never had a filling. Her parents did not allow soda. SMRT.
No implants or dentures or pulled teeth yet, but I am dreading the incoming root canals.
^This is why my MD buddies push their kids towards dental school^
I heard a dentist describe pop as a “chemical chainsaw” once.
I still like it, though…
This ^^^ and drinking untreated well water on the farm are definitely reasons for fillings in almost every tooth I have.
Oh man that sucks. Meanwhile your dentist just put a down payment on a new yacht.
The weirdest experience I ever had at a dental place was when the lady was bragging about how much money she made and how much she paid for her house and how she was developing a pancake house on the side.
My mouth is packed full of cotton and whatever else, so I couldn’t even hold up my side of the conversation.
Her: “I still owe $1.8 million on my lakehouse, but instead of paying it off right now, I decided to start a restaurant…”
Me: “Uhn.”
Her: “I just like to keep busy. I recently bought property to open a second practice, too.”
Me: “Uhn.”
Maybe she thought I was single and wanted to impress me.
I told my wife about it, and she was like, “That is fine. I will rent you out to her if it gets me a lakehouse…”
Sounds like your wife is a keeper. Haha.
Personally and professionally I am awed at how much debt dentists are willing to take on in the early stages of their practice. For me, graduating with a big student loan debt, the last thing I would want to do is then finance say a $2M MRI, $1M CT, etc etc PLUS pay wages to the technologists and nurses. I’d get an ulcer right quick. Sounds like your dentist was a bit of an oversharer.
If you need a lake house, talk to freezey. He probably has a few extra that he could spare.
Yep. That is the better financial decision.
I’ve had two teeth pulled and afterwards, the Dentist gives me an estimate on a bridge.
I then ask, “don’t you have to destroy two other teeth to get a bridge on?”……
Of course the answer is yes, but you need a bridge.
I said no to the bridge both times.
I will do implants if I lose a couple more teeth.
Dentists make more than many medical drs.
Can confirm…
Don’t dentists have a really high suicide (depression) rate?
yes
Yep…
If the tooth is toward the back, you can even say screw it after just getting it pulled. I have the second to last one gone on my lower right and have no issues cosmetically or mechanically.
I might get it implanted someday, but there is no rush.
I went to Dental clinic in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico. Mustre Dental Clinic just walk across the border whole town is full of denists I had to have lots of work done quoted $27,000 in texas paid $7000 in mexico. There is a place right across the border in AZ also. Replaced all my fillings for $50 a pop my insurance at the time charged $80 as copay. I live couple miles from cunuak now but big repairs might still be cheaper to fly down to texas and cross.
Just don’t do eye surgery in Mexico.
I’m feeling better so hopefully I won’t be so cranky today. No guarantees however.
Happy Thursday!
Glad to hear it. Good morning VP.
My wife notified me we’re out of coffee this morning. I’m like … crap.
You just need the love of a good kitten…
I’ve actually never had the pleasure. My wife has always gone to a shelter to get her cats, so they are always well beyond the kitten stage. I have had a number of puppies in my life, but no kittens.
Let’s fix that. We can argue about the new Pope.

Go Wolves?!? I watched the first half last night. Team is fun to watch.
Not football though.
Schedule looks good for the Vikings. I like the back to back overseas games. Two neutral sites instead of road games with a hostile crowd. Now they just need to beat FTP twice again. My mother always said, “As long as the Vikings beat the Packers, the season is a success”.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the game 6 talk last night during the Wolves game. There were ads promoting game 6 as well. It’s great to move on and now it is time to get over the hump and win it all.
Happy Thorsday,

Great to see the team work together on an off night from Edwards.
The “pundits” after the game didn’t even give MN any credit. They said it was all because Steph wasn’t playing. They were beating the Warriors by 15 in game 2 when Steph got injured, but never mind that. I think against Steph the series would have gone to 6 or 7 games but the T-pups would still have won.
Edwards looked gassed last night. Hopefully he can rest up. He needs to be on his A game against (I assume) OKC.
Yep, if Steph would have been playing, we would not have heard Kaminga’s name. He basically filled Steph’s shoes.
OKC or Denver are going to be tough outs.
Two overseas games and a Christmas day game.
By the time I add in the farming months, I’m only going to see half of JJ’s season.
Oh well, there’s always YouTube highlights…
Get you a phone holder for the combine and some noise cancelling head phones and watch the games on your phone while driving the tractor.
I actually kind of like listening to games on the radio in a tractor. Vikings games on the radio really work well with field work because they totally distract you for three hours.
Heh I’m imagining all these crooked swather passes.
GPS… tractors drive themselves.
We still don’t have a GPS tractor.
Maybe in 2035…
I thought farmers were all rich? That’s what the Democrat door knocker told me last summer when I told her that Tester took more money than any politician in DC.
I hoard all my money and hug it at night while I laugh at all the less fortunate.
Stupid poor people and their lice!
That sounds like a reasonable thing to do with your money. Maybe I should start doing that.
Go Wolves!
Wolves win !!!
Definitely looks like a rough schedule for the purple. I will get to see at least 10 Vikings games on live local TV out here in Timbuktu DE. Probably a couple more depending on flexing and regional games.
