Not much football news out there. Aaron Rodgers is still being a drama queen, dropping little hints but not actually doing anything, like a junior high tease. I think it’s hilarious, I think he does it just to toy with the media because he knows they’ll gobble it up because there’s absolutely nothing else to write about.
I have one more day of running & trying to get all my stuff done before kiddo and I head up to Grand Forks for a couple of days. We’re staying at the water park hotel up there, going to doalso going to do some hiking and check out a cave or two, and I’m also meeting up with a buddy of mine on Thursday to go see Jerry Seinfeld. It should be a really fun trip. Kiddo and I both really want to start caving, we’ve been wanting to hike Turtle River State Park for a long time, and I’ve always wanted to see Seinfeld. Here’s a chance to knock out all three in one brief trip.

In case you missed this during your day off, Josh Metellus was issued a warning excessive verbal abuse during the Wolves-Thunder playoff game on Saturday, per SI.com. I’m glad they don’t issue those warnings at my house when I watch football, I’d get kicked out of every game.
From Athlon Sports, Mekhi Blackmon isn’t fond of the trade rumors that suggest he’d be traded to Miami in exchange for Jalen Ramsey. Neither am I, to be honest. I have no issue with Ramsey, but I do have major issues with his contract.
NFL News
The Raiders made A.J. Cole the league’s highest-paid punter by signing him to a four-year contract extension worth $15.8 million, per CBS Sports.
Browns RB Quinshon Judkins hopes to help ‘change the organization’, saying ‘I know what it takes to win’, per NFL.com. Lots of players who know how to win have joined the Browns thinking they’re going to change that organization…………and nothing changes. That organization hasn’t been relevant since Otto Graham was their QB, and he retired in 1955.
Fox Sports explains why Aaron Rodgers is ‘absolutely’ worth the wait for the Steelers. LOL, probably because they’ve left themselves with no better options?
Aaron Rodgers dropped another little hint that he’s going to sign with the Steelers, per Yahoo Sports.
Flag football player Darrell Doucette says that NFL players won’t make the flag football Olympic team ‘without a fight’, from Yahoo Sports.

This circles back to my beef of people saying they are Irish when their parents and grandparents and great grandparents were all born in this country. Go back 200 generations and I probably have some African or Aboriginal Australian DNA in the mix.
Native, like belonging to a particular place of birth. Don’t hate it, doesn’t keep me up at night.

“wild” horses is one that drives me nuts. There is no such thing as a “wild” horse in North America. They are feral and should be treated as such. They are not part of the native ecosystem.
This is me. I actually thought I was 50% Swedish, 40% German, and 10% British. Dad did an ancestry thing before dementia hit, and he is 10% Irish, making me 5% Irish.
He was thrilled about it, since drinking was his main hobby until his brain melted.
Did not do much for me, other than being able to tell my very Irish wife that “I’m Irish too!”
I did not send my DNA in, but it freaks me out that my 3rd cousin’s DNA is going to identify the maladroit who dropped the chalkboard eraser on the teacher’s desk after school back in 2nd grade.
BTW, I see your DNA is a 98% match to mine, so you will give me one of your kidneys or I will send the video of what you did on your laptop last Thursday at 10:46 pm to everyone in your contacts.

Actually, in a funny twist, I recently read a book in which one of the protagonists as a 15 year old au pere was impregnated by the father…exploited him for cash for years while she had in fact dropped the baby on the steps of a random home in Portland…baby is adopted into the home of a childless couple who keep the adoption a secret, then they have a daughter of their own. Meanwhile biological mom sells some of her eggs to get by as she sets herself up as a high end escort.
Later in his rebellious teenage years the baby runs a car off the road in a fit of road rage, killing (unbeknownst to him) his own father. Has a moral and personal turnaround, starts a computer company which takes off like Microsoft. Meets a cougar and they get married, have a great sex life, traveling the world. Someone is his adopted family needs a transplant, he gets tested and discovers he is not related to what he thought was his biological family, gets the fancy AI he invented to jailbreak the 23 and me system, discovers that his biological half sister lost her dad to a rollover accident on the Palouse highway on the day that he had the road rage incident…then makes the AI start breaking into adoption records, egg donor records, etc….and the AI says, “I know who your mother is…are you sure you want to know?”

Here’s the latest update on the Buffalo Schools thing for anybody interested. They might have picked a fight they shouldn’t have.
Watched the Wolves game last night. Wolves played pretty well overall. Shot well. But too many turnovers and offensive rebounds given up to stop OKC who was on fire with their shooting it seemed.
I think the Wolves would whoop every other team in the league. OKC just too good defensively and at making open shots.
Think Thunder is well stacked for the future. No matter how good the Wolves get there will be at least one team in the West that’s better. Ugh…Minny sports.

Not to brag or anything, but I got a like from Aaron Jones on a T’wolves post yesterday. It asked how last nights game was going to end, and I commented saying it would come down to how the refs called the game.
We’re now like best friends, or something.

Ant is 23 lol and the way he’s evolved his game in one season is insane. Just think where he could be when he is SGA’s age with more time in the league? Yes, yes I do think he can be better then the worst league MVP in a long time. Wake me with the MVP isnt getting 1/3 of his ptns from the free throw line. The most points SGA has scored before with out counting free throws is in the 20s I believe. Edwards is in the 40s. Just relax and let Ant cook.

Oh Im holding him accountable, on the defensive side of the ball. All players have off days on offense, he chose to fold on defense which is unacceptable. Im more so arguing your point that you feel Ant doesn’t have the ability to do better then SGA has this year as a lame ass MVP. He has and does with out the cheap fouls while being years younger. But yes, in this play off series, SGA has come through more then Ant. Im not denying that.
Ant definitely needs to play better in big games like last night, but let’s not forget that Randle only had 5 points and the team had 22 turnovers and only lost by 2. It’s a tough loss for sure.

Gotta give you props after Game 1 of stars oilers. I asked your take prior to the start of the series and you responded you didn’t like the special teams match up. Game ! Dallas has 3 PP goals with relative ease and I’m thinking MT is Jimmy the frick’n Greek.
I’ve watched a lot of hockey in my life. The special teams matchup was key, if they can keep Dallas off the scoresheet on the power play the Oilers can beat them 5v5…with a confident Skinner.
Might get Pickard back as the backup goaltender which would be huge. Also the rumor is that Mattias Ekholm might be back on D which might just be enough to push us to the holy grail.
Yeah that third period collapse with Dallas on the PP in game 1 was virtually scripted by me. Sometimes you get lucky with the prediction.
I will likely never see the end of an NBA game, since I go to bed by 9:30 or 10PM eastern every night. I don’t even watch the NBA until it’s playoff time.
For the reasons you mention, I will only see the end of an NBA game unless the Wolves were in the NBA finals and it was a world championship clinching moment.
