Man, there isn’t much NFL news to write about. Another month & a half until training camp, it’s going to be a fairly boring ride. At least we have baseball and fishing. Our 10 year old team has their second game tonight, I’m looking forward to that. Hopefully the kiddos have a fun night & put some good swings on the ball.
Not much else going on, kiddo went with me yesterday to do a little work, and we stopped on the way home to do some fishing. The fish weren’t biting, but we found a way to have some fun. We had a shovel in the pickup, so we used it to dig some steps going down to the water so that people would have easier access. We had some rocks to use as steps, so were able to build something that should last.

Kfey will love this one. The Sporting News thinks the Vikings could bring back Kirk Cousins without sacrificing much draft capital. LOL, these guys are really deprived of things to write about.

The Madden ’26 trailer reveals a first look at the gameplay, per ESPN. I’m sure Kfey already pre-ordered.
CBS Sports provides a blueprint for Caleb Williams to end the Bears’ 105 season drought and find a way to throw for 4,000 yards this season. LOL, maybe he could try to change the color of his fingernail paint.

I can take Carlin in small doses, he was The Man when I was growing up and had some historically good takes. As I mature I don’t agree with him on as much and even less on his newer stuff.
I like that he was an equal opportunity comic. While he was very liberal in a lot of ways, he ripped all politicians. People in power do not want our help. As someone who pretty much despises all politicians, that really resonates.
I can agree that his older stuff was both lighter and appealed to a broader audience.

Girls softball team with a dude wins again in the MN state tournament.
If I were the coach or a parent of the team playing that dude, I would have my team walk off the field after the ump says “batter up” to start the game.

Pretty stunning. The women’s movement fought for decades for equality in women’s sports. They get it and turn it right over to the trans group. Where are the out cries from all the women’s groups.

There are women’s group that are complaining. The media ignores them.

Eliminating ‘segregation’ in sports effectively eliminates women’s sports. No women could make any teams if they were competing against men.

Remember the Williams sisters each played the 100th ranked male tennis player when they were in their prime, They each lost in straight sets.
No way, I bet trans men (that is biological women who have transitioned) would dominate the roster of every professional football, hockey, basketball and baseball roster. For one, just think how a trans man with their smaller frame could squeeze through the A gap out of an i formation…with their smaller frame and size their hockey pads would be smaller, make them deadly with a snap shot…I bet a woman with breast enhancements could utilize the counterweight lever action to fling a good 65 mph curve ball…you need to broaden your horizons!

My wife and I are about the same height and weight and I am almost 6 years older than her. If there is a stuck jar lid, I have to open it. Sometimes it is the small things.
I’m much taller and heavier than my wife, and it is the same in my household…cuz I know how to use a channel-lock.
Actually I mounted a jar opening thing under the kitchen cabinets so my wife can open most with ease.

That was the whole reason why girls/women’s teams were created in the first place. To give girls/women a competitive balance and access to sports.
They complain when women weren’t given the same opportunities in sports.
They complain when women’s sports weren’t given the same financial benefits and scholarships.
They complain when women’s sports didn’t receive the same amount of media attention.
They complain that women don’t get paid as much as men in professional sports…
