WNBA players have begun demanding increased pay, wearing pregame shirts that read: “Pay us what you owe us,” despite the league consistently failing to generate a profit.
Prior to Saturday night’s WNBA All-Star game, star players wore pregame shirts demanding increased pay as the players’ union engages in ongoing collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations with the WNBA.
For the record, the WNBA loses about $50M a year. Pay them what they’re worth? This might be the first time in labor challenges to management, that they are asking for a decrease in pay. Grin.

I think it might have been around 5 years ago that I read the articles. Maybe it isn’t still happening, who knows. What caught my eyes with the articles is one of the girls quoted was a former UofL women’s basketball player, who left the league over this. She said girls were afraid to speak up about it.

No, he was never convicted. Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019, on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He died in his jail cell on August 10, 2019.
Believe he was convicted in Florida in 2008 and served time in jail. As part of the plea, no charges were to be levied against any of. his co- conspirators. Pretty damn strange.
So there were other people involved and the state knew who they are. One was Bill Gate and his wife divorced him over it.
Yes, he pled guilty in 2008 for soliciting a minor (under the age of 18) for sex. He was never convicted of trafficking though, as you stated.
I have no doubt he did traffic young girls, but obviously the ability to act on anything is blocked by previous court rulings in a number of cases. I think this is what Bondi found out when she reviewed the files. Lots of legal deals were struck, barring further prosecution.
The administration got out over their skis, promising to deliver on something they cannot prosecute.

Well, Epstein started teaching at a school when he was 21, that was run by Bill Barr’s father. However, Donald Barr left the school three months before Epstein began teaching there. There is no evidence they (Bill Barr and Epstein) had a relationship. This is another case of folks associating things that don’t actually match up.

You act like I’m involved in this or something. I’m just telling you the truth. Most of the charges against Maxwell and Epstein stem from things they did in the mid to late 90’s. All of the charges were about what Epstein and Maxwell did to underage girls. There has never been any charges against Maxwell or Epstein for providing girls to anyone else.

So Sam Howell is a lot like Heinicke to me. Very fiesty competitor, but just not enough between his ears to be a top shelf starter. He has just enough talent and attitude to bring some excitement to the table, but he isn’t going to put up the kind of production needed to keep his team in games.

Well Rickie Fowler shot 6 under today with 8 birdies and two bogies. Currently he’s at 8 under for the tournament, in a tie for 6th place. I expect by the end of the day he’ll be out of the top ten, but at least he shot a great round.

Maybe, but he’s still fighting to get into the finals for the FedEx Cup. Top 70 get in. He entered the tournament in 71st place, and running out of tournaments. He birdied his last three holes to jump up to 55th place in the FedEx Cup standings. Right now he’s in a tie for 9th place, and at 58 in the FedEx Cup standings.
He’s hoping not too many folks pass him, and he ends up still in the race. He has some pressure there.

I’m not a biblical person, but I thought there were many verses where it says something along the lines of “man shall not lie down with man”.

When I was in the Army, long time ago, we used to laugh at the sailors and airmen and their physical presence. And at that. time the sailors we by far the worse. Guess the Air Force couldn’t be out done by the Navy.
I finally hung them up in 2007, and I had already seen the signs where all appearance and fitness standards were on a severe decline. I was not happy, and I even relieved a few folks who were slack leaders in this regard. Weak leadership grew like a cancer, while liberal career politicians gained numbers in the ranks. It made me sick to my stomach.

Tulsi Gabbard has released a report, claiming that former President Barack Obama’s administration manipulated intelligence related to Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Been thinking about all the violence we’re experiencing around the country, in these “peaceful” protests, and other events. I think the Dem’s feel the more unrest and violence, the more Government is needed to save people. The Dem’s want huge Government that takes away your rights and freedoms, and taxes you into total submission. They create the need, and for the good of the country take control. Then you’re left with nothing.

To the great men who founded this country, “self-government” is not Washington, D.C.; self-government is citizens governing themselves, controlling themselves, conquering themselves in harmony with the laws of nature and nature’s God.
If only we taught this perspective to our children in their early years of development. If only they were exposed to this sound, and well bounded life position.

The NFC North teams won more games than any other Division last year, despite the Bears dismal 5-12 record. They were hands down, the best Division in the NFL. I think it could be two years in a row for this Division in 2025.

Really, when you look at the Vikings starting roster, we look pretty good. We could do with another top shelf CB, but I think we’ll be OK. If we stay healthy, we can compete for the Division. McCarthy is a bit of a wild card, but he has such a strong supporting cast, he just has to run the offense as designed and called. I think KOC will bring him along very nicely, and I expect him to have a good year.

We might upgrade our depth in the DB off the waiver wire during preseason when cutdown day approaches.

We won 14 last year and we have a better roster this year. Looks good – but we need to figure out a way to beat the Lions. Been a while.
I agree, but I think we have a better defensive front this year than we had last year. Just a touch more pressure on Goff, and a little better job stopping the run, and I think we can beat them.
We could be anywhere from 8 to 13 wins. Unproven QB, tougher schedule and lotta new guys who need to learn new system and new teammates.

Yes, we’ve notably added Ryan Kelly (C), Will Fries (G), Jonathan Allen (DT), Javon Hargrave (DT), Jordan Mason (RB, trade), Isaiah Rodgers (CB), Jeff Okudah (CB), and Rondale Moore (WR) in free agency while re-signing Aaron Jones, Byron Murphy Jr., Theo Jackson, and Harrison Smith.
I think all the “new” guys are good fits, and upgrades for the most part. I’m not all that sold on Isaiah Rodgers, as I don’t like his size. He’s 5’10” 176 lbs. I’ll let the coaches decide on the players though… grin.
Vikings won’t win 14 games.
