Joint practices going on with the Patriots this week. Hoping we get some decent video coverage and also really, really want everyone to stay healthy. Looking like Brosmer is the new SLOTERGOAT for this preseason. Looking forward to watching that backup QB battle develop. I’d also like to see the O Line develop, since three new starters is a lot.

This is one of the biggest reasons the Eagles offense is so good. Their O-line is top shelf.

Yep. The Eagles really built their lines on both sides of the ball. It’s the oldest adage in football. The games are won in the trenches.
The Vikings invested heavily this off-season in our lines. On paper, we’re much better. As you know though, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. We’ll see if our lines measure up this year.
You guys likely knew about this and discussed it earlier, I missed it. I saw on Gutfeld that the Vikings hired two trans people to join their cheerleaders. Did no one tell them this is not just a 80/20 issue, but more like 90%+ opposed to men in girls sports. If they are going to be in the female cheerleaders private spaces, I’m going to be ticked off.
Hi Kathy… I don’t think they’re trans. Very effeminate men though, doing dance moves that are considered sexy when women do them. Personally, I hate that red blooded American men, watching their favorite sport, have to see this crap. Guarantee the two guys will be featured prominently on our TV screens, every game.

One of the guys is the lead cheerleader now. They let two women go, and replaced them with these guys. Here’s the deal. Why have cheerleaders always been pretty girls in skimpy clothes? Because men like to see pretty girls in skimpy clothes. Now the Vikings have decided we’re all thrilled by guys shaking their asses. Unbelievable.
Gutfeld talked about it again last night. Vikings are getting national attention, just the wrong kind IMHO. At least the guys won’t be in the girls locker/bath rooms. At a time when most companies are moving away from woke, seems tone deaf to me.

In Calif Prisons there are hourly checks, meaning you have to see ‘live, breathing, flesh’ every hour, night and day. Most guards who have that duty take great pleasure in beating on the cell doors every hour.
Inmates complain and sue saying it is ‘cruel and unusual punishment’. So far courts have not stopped the practice.

My personal take on the people who track training camp stats is they’re stupid. It’s practice. Let’s see how this shakes out in the real games. Also, incompletions are a norm. If you make a bad throw, you make a bad throw. Every single QB in the league misses throws. Every single receiver in the league drops passes. Yet pundits want to lose their minds when a pass play doesn’t work out.

I just saw this in an article, and decided to post it. I really wasn’t passing judgement. Now that you mention the trades, and refresh my memory though, I can honestly say it was massively bad draft.

I thought his release was kind of abrupt.
Not unexpected just earlier than warranted it seemed.

There are hundreds of punches being thrown in camps throughout the league. Not one player has been released because of a punch. I think it was an excuse, because KAM was personally connected to this guy. He wasn’t a good player, so they found a way to let him go.

Ben Johnson said Caleb Williams and the first-team units will suit up for Sunday’s preseason game against the Bills. Williams and the majority of Chicago’s starters were held out of preseason action versus the Dolphins last weekend, but the first-team units will get a chance to log exhibition reps versus Buffalo.
Guess we’ll see what the Bears first team starters look like. If only for a series or two.

i feel like i have finally made it as a father….
my middle son is old enough that he can mow part if not all of the lawn.
I weed whipped while he mowed the front yard last night and he kept good even straight lines and did a great job. the front is a good place to start, minimal objects to mow around. the backyard will be the true tests…tree roots, playset, shed, patio, trees, all to mow around. we’ll try that next week.
Nice freezey. There is value in this kind of interaction with your kids. Teach them to make their beds, clean up after themselves, and yes do some work with somewhat “measurable” results. They will have a sense of self worth and pride in their accomplishment. These are the lessons parents need to focus on with their children.
Maybe he can teach my neighbor. The guy mows about twice a week and if it gets more than a half inch long he is mowing again. 50% of his yard is just dirt because he scalps it every time he mows.
I know a few people like that. Mow their yard so short, and then wonder why it turns brown so fast when rainfall is scarce.
This guy and my last neighbor would rush out to mow whenever I did. With my last neighbor, I would wait until he mowed and then mow like a day later. He would end up mowing the following day.
I hope you can afford a new mower. 😳
