Practice/pretend game today at noon. We get to see SLOTERGOAT Brosmer play QB and I am interested in that. Otherwise, this could be like me watching golf. Nap time. Just hoping for no injuries for any players, or me in my recliner. You never know…

Our former QB Sam Darnold completed 4 passes in his preseason pretend game last night. Happy for him. Tried to watch the games, but knowing most of those players will not be on a roster in a week makes it tough to care.

Looked like he was locked onto his first and only read against 2 and 3rd stringers.
But then I am not the ‘expert’.
There is no need to look off coverage, if your first read is there.
Caleb Williams and the Bears offense went 92 yards in 7 plays for a TD to start the game. Williams looked good. He made quick reads, and very good throws. 5/6 for 97 yards and a TD. They had a holding call that backed them up 10 yards at one point. That’s why Williams had 97 yards passing on a 92 yard drive. Only incompletion was a throw away after the rush got to him.
The CryBaby us looking Un-Bear like so far.
Was curious about the Ben Johnson effect. Williams looked a lot better than last year, but he was playing with the one’s and Bills defense was mostly back ups. Still, looked much better to me this year.
Wonder what the Bears will look like tonight. Hopefully bad.

Hiking the north end of Sakakawea this morning. Football practice starts tonight, school starts Tuesday.
Hiked the southern tip of the Kildeer mountains yesterday, along the little Missouri river.

Oh no, had two seventy pound dogs sharing the bed last night. One likes to cuddle and the other gets up every hour, does a 360 and flop back down. But, starting to get used to it. The cats have migrated to my wife, at least so far.
Right now the dogs are on the coach sort of watching TV and napping.

A once promising tight end early in his career with the Vikings, Smith is poised to be third on the depth chart for a newly constructed offense that is expected to use multiple tight end sets.”
Thanks to injuries, Smith moved up from 5th on the depth chart to 3rd. He’s gonna break out!

Thunderstorms already here today, giving us a break from the 90+ temps.

It’s hot in the Orlando area but I’m even further south near Palm Beach and it is even hotter – and I would have thought that’s hard to due.
Hoping for some storms to cool it down some. 103 with max humidity is pretty damn tough.
Not a lot of faith in these backup QBs. Maybe we can nab a Browns castoff?
Maybe a Nick Mullins type that knows the Offense and can be had cheap?

That OL for the Seahawks looked fantastic. They had TE’s that could block and a stud RB too. Darnold is lucky. Not sure if they were playing against any starters though.
Hopefully our O-Line will get there with a bit more time together.
There is reason to optimistic this year.
From everything I’ve read, Vikings OL should definitely be better, thank goodness.

I can’t wait to see how empty it is when we go. I looked at our tickets, the game we go to is on September 14, Sunday game vs. the Diamondbacks.
Went back and forth with BMW so didn’t see a ton. Some O-line and receiver play i saw looked rough.

People are sick of seeing ICE arresting hard working immigrants. Joe Rogan said it the other day on his podcast. Gardeners, landscapers, construction workers, farmworkers, etc. all being targeted. I thought it was only supposed to be gangbangers, murderers, and rapists this administration was going after. Potus lied to the american people about this and now it’s been going on long enough that a big majority of people are upset about these bullshit deportations.
I’m not sick of it. You are way out there if you believe ICE is the problem here. It’s called law enforcement, and I want the law enforced.
I say we arrest anyone interfering with law enforcement with a mandatory 5 year prison sentence.
I’m not saying ICE is the problem, they’re doing what they are being told to do. I don’t condone attacks on anyone, and fully support law enforcement. I’m just repeating what Rogan said. It’s getting out of hand with all these deportations. I thought it was only supposed to be gangbangers, murderers, and rapists. Andy Dalton will not return to Saturday’s preseason game against the Texans due to a right elbow injury, after taking a hit from Danielle Hunter.
Dalton appears in high spirits on the sideline, though, an indication that the elbow injury is something he could play through were this a regular-season affair, rather than a preseason matchup.
