Wow, got back from vacation and been running around like an ape with his a** on fire ever since. I’m finally to a point where I feel like I’m almost caught up, it’s a good feeling. I’m hoping to spend the next couple days completing some projects I’ve been wanting to do but haven’t had time to work on.
I’d like to hear some opinions on this. I help coach my son’s football team (they’re ten years old), and the coach this year has them practicing four days a week. To me, that’s a bit crazy, especially considering temps are in the nineties. If they were in high school or college, I totally get it. It just seems a bit much for ten-year-olds. Then again, I think 10 years old is too young for tackle football. I think they should wait until 7th or 8th grade. Oh well, I’ll make sure they hydrate and try to help make it as fun as I can. The head coach is a really good coach, so I’m thankful that the kiddos are going to learn a lot this year.
I shared some videos & photos from Thursday’s joint practice with the Patriots. We attended and had a really good time. Here are some more that I took while we were there, I’ll try to figure out a better way to share them, maybe I should upload them to Tweeter or something first.

Vikings.com has three observations from Tuesday’s team practice. It sounds like McCarthy focused on red zone work, and the wide receivers did wide receiver things. Also, Justin Jefferson returned to practice after resting a minor hamstring injury, and DC Brian Flores addressed the media.
Rumors about a possible Andrew Van Ginkel injury from MSN. It’s MSN, so it may be clickbait, but you never know.

Daniel Jones has been named as the Colts starting QB, which could be a good thing for the Vikings, Sports Illustrated has the details.
CB Cameron Dantzler has signed with the Miami Dolphins, per Pro Football Newsroom. Dantzler was drafted by the Vikings in 2020 and played 3 seasons in Minnesota, he most recently played in the UFL for the Memphis Showboats.

Running the ball is definitely a mindset thing. The Ravens run the ball effectively every year. They built their scheme around running the ball, then brought in the players to do it.

Just heard something on the news that is interesting, or actually disturbing.
Believe there are like 520 or 530 House seats. Because of gerrymandering by both parties. only 27 are considered competitive at this time.
That’s pathetic. Whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, that just isn’t right and makes a joke of democratic elections in the People’s House.
There are currently only 435 seats in the House. Still you have deeply entrenched Congressional Districts in all the States. So yes, only 25 or so are really “up for grabs” at any given time.

I’m conditioned to temper my enthusiasm…I remember gasping when they drafted Ponder, then the 2011 lockout, then his first completion of his first game was a 72 yarder I think to Troy? Richardson and got all giddy.
