Football starts tomorrow! Not a fan of either team, but I am still rooting for the Cowpies to lose a bit more than I am rooting for the Eagles fans to be heartbroken. A tie is fine. A meteor is better.
No news for the Vikings. Monday night will be interesting. I still think the Vikings win, but playing in Chicago is never easy. Ever.
I am a fan of the 4 day work week, and companies should be doing this year round in my opinion. Could be I am just lazy, or it could be the fact that I am used to 12 hour days, and having a 3 day weekend every week recharges me and makes the long days tolerable. I did have the opportunity to work 4 ten hour days at one job, and it felt like I was working part time.

Saw there was well under 10,000 in attendance yesterday….11,000+ was the stated attendance based on ticket sales, but many didn’t show up.
Don’t watch baseball all that much anymore, but used to be hard to win without pitching and hitting.

I think you have a lot of folks here who truly empathize with you and Zeph. We all followed his ordeal, and prayed for him and your family. The fact that a person volunteered her bone marrow, and then was located as a 100% match, and agreed to help save Zeph, brought tears to all our eyes. We all celebrated this miracle.

I think Trump has suffered many dozens of these type of rulings from San Francisco judges impeding his policy actions. San Francisco appears to be ground zero for opposing the President.
Trump declared these drug cartels as terrorist organizations. As such the President has every right of his office to protect and use whatever means he deems appropriate to protect the citizens of the country.
No, no, no. Running drugs is but a minor criminal infraction, not an act of war so therefore they must be arrested and tried.

Have you ever played on new sod? I have. It was terrible. Twisted my knee rolling to my left, and throwing back to my right as the TE was coming free off his block.

The sod gave way as I planted, so no, normal sod wouldn’t have caused that.
The sod came up in clumps around the line of scrimmage, and also when players made cuts. Had a WR trip over a seam too, and thus couldn’t catch a pass.
Grass takes several weeks to take root. New sod isn’t stable.
Every stinking year this field is the worst. They treat it like crap. I would not be happy if I were the Bears players much less the visiting team.

The point is, they shouldn’t have had a week of concerts prior to this coming weeks football game.

Apparently I have no idea what day it is.
My DIL was able to reach out and connect with the person that donated the bone marrow for my grandson Zeph. They were told it was a young white male, but it turns out, it is a young white female in her late 20s that lives on the west coast, so she isn’t too far away from them. The young lady was told when she went in to be a donor that the odds of her actually have to donate was about 1/2 of a percent. A few weeks later they called her and said that there was a little boy that was a 100% match and would she consider donating. She did so gladly. We received a picture of her when she went in to do the donation and she was doing the same thumbs up sign as my grandson did when he went in to receive the donation. There must have been a bunch of dust in my house last night because my eyes were watering. My DIL and the young lady have chatted a bunch via text and they are hoping that eventually they will get to meet her in person. It gives a person hope for the world when you hear about people that are so selfless.
