Team is in dire need of players not getting hurt. O line depth is crap, and I am not sure where the blame lies. Guessing the GM needs to do better at finding competent backups. I expect the Bengals to win this Sunday, and I hope I am once again wrong. Does the team need better O Line talent, a new O Line coach, or better play calling when there are backups in the game, or all the above? I am still salty about the crap showing vs ATL. Eff the birds.
JJ will be fine long term. I think the fact that he is still alive after the crap showing by the O Line is impressive. He will learn, and the team will get better as the season progresses. So far he has shown 1 really good quarter of football, and 7 that reminded us that playing QB in the NFL is hard. Still better than an overpriced vet, but we are not seeing the benefit of an improved line on either side of the ball. Cannot run the ball, cannot stop the run. Lame.

I just found it funny… the “who’s at fault” part doesn’t matter to me. I’ve never seen this happen.
Have you been to many of these types of driving ranges. They are designed right hander next to right hander. Can easily see how a left hander hitting driver next to a right hander would cause this.
I have two left handed brothers, the rest of us would fight over who had to sit to their left at meal times.
I’m weird, bit left and right handed. But eat left handed and it’s always “interesting” sitting next to a right hander. It’s more of an issue than most wold think.

Both McNabb and now Wentz played for the Eagles, the Redskins, and the Vikings. McNabb had a passer rating of 82.9 with 1,026 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in 6 games for the Vikings in his career. The team went 1-5 in those games.
We’re hoping for better than that with Wentz.

I didn’t know that. I played in a golf tournament with Rush back in 2001.
He said something like; Donovan McNabb is an overrated QB and the only reason he gets so much attention, is the NFL wants a black QB to succeed.
This was when he was on the Fox pre-game show. He was fired the next day.
We called him Wormkiller. Guy was atrocious when he played for us.

I believe NLNVF had a great point yesterday. The Falcons had the ultimate scouting team for their defense to practice against last week. If this game is an outlier to what their defense does the rest of the season.
My thoughts are that the Falcons defensive performance against us might end up being one of the best of our year this year. Divisional rivals will always play each other tough, because they construct their teams year after year to win the Division, and know each other so well. So sometimes a Division rival can pull off a great defensive effort. The Falcons held us to 6 points, 10 total first downs, 4-11 on third downs, 198 total yards, 120 net passing yards, 4.4 yards per pass, 4 turnovers, 6 sacks, a 52.3% completion percentage and a 37.5 passer rating. That is total domination. I don’t think we’ll see another team do that to us this year, and I do think Cousins running the Vikings offense against their defense to prepare for the game, had a lot to do with their success.
At least Darrisaw was a full go at practice.

LG – Jackson: Rookie…nuff said.
C – Jurgens: also never played meaningful snaps and came off the bench.

You do not need starter quality at each level as a backup.
However, this is bad. Even for Vikings standards.
These guys do not belong in the NFL, based on how they are playing now.
We have a pretty extensive injury list right now, and that’s really a big concern. Our opponent isn’t nearly as injured this week, but they have lost a true star QB in the league. So now we’ll see if Wentz is actually any good in our offense, and can get the ball across the proverbial goal line, as it were.
KOCs Offense is very similar to what SF runs and Wentz was there previously. He has had a couple weeks to settle in.
I think the bigger question is will the O-Line give him enough time to accomplish anything or open any holes for the running game.
Totally agree, it’s a team game. It all has to work together, and that’s on both sides of the ball. That said, Wentz has to do his job, and run the offense effectively.
Believe he was with the “Rams” and they do run a similar offense as ours.
I haven’t seen Wentz play for a couple of years, but recall he is a stud in the pocket – he’s big and doesn’t go down easily. Can shed a defender and then get off a pass.
