Carson Wentz gets the start this week, and probably on Thorsday vs the Chargers, unless he gets murdered behind this O-line. I still expect to see Max Brosmer at some point vs the Eagles. My wife is consistently reminding me that she wanted the team to draft Bo Nix, and he has played since being drafted, vs JJ who has exactly 2 games of football so far. I am not happy about this. I hope we get to see JJ on the field again soon, and that he plays better than he has so far.
Condolences to Mjolnir about the rodents beating up the huskers. I normally do not watch college football, since the gophers, while improved under the current coach, still have zero chance at a championship. I made an exception last night, and I have to say the gophers looked pretty good.

Jags just ran the ball for 9 yards without a penalty. Amazing.
Rams are kicking the Jags butt, 21-0 half way thru the 3rd qtr.
I forget about the early games if the Vikings are not involved.
Yeah, I have it on, but not watching it too closely. Just saw Lawrence hit a 39 yard pass. First and 10 at their own 48.
It is funny how I will post on a quiet thread and then the page refreshes and all of these previous posts show up making look like a moron even more than usual.
By ‘funny’ I mean frustrating/irritating.
Game has turned into a flag fest. 5 consecutive plays with a flag thrown.
Jags down 21-0 to the Rams early in the 3rd quarter. Lawrence is playing up and down football. Some good throws, some bad ones.
Terrible personal foul call for unnecessary roughness against the Jags.
Bow is gonna be pissed if this happens though…
I am already sad that JJ seems to be permanently hurt.
I’m honestly starting to believe the soft benching narrative to be honest Surly. After two full training camps, and a full 2024 season to learn, McCarthy still seems to be way behind the power curve. Just a feeling, but seems odd he’s sitting at this point.

I do not really care for most NFL announcers, but I do think Rich Eisen is decent.
I may not have to mute the morning game today.
The Titans are expected to simplify the offense for Cam Ward under their new head coach Mike McCoy. Like all young QB’s in the NFL, Ward is struggling to grasp it all. Ward famously told everyone in training camp that the Titans would have a top five offense, if not the top offense in the league. He is currently rated as the worst QB in the NFL, and that offense has sucked.
I saw this stat. The Vikings run 2-high shells at easily the highest rate in the NFL, a 69.8% rate. That’s a lot. One would think the Eagles will try to run the ball on us with both safeties deep on every play.
Good morning all, and SKOL. Gameday and we want to give Philly a little “what for” today. I think we’re slightly favored at home. Need to stop Barkley and harass Hurts. Will Cashman be on the field? Can he wreak some havoc? What about our O-line? Do we get O’Neil back?

I would think Cashman plays. No sense activating him just to take a roster spot. Lets hope ONeill plays, at least rotationally.
i hate playing the Eagles, seems we struggle. We need the offense to come out wuick and sharp. No more floundering for 2 1/2 quarters.

Really, if the O-line returns to almost normal with Brandel starting his second game at center, and everyone else good to go, the offense could have a solid day. Fangio plays cover one about 25% of the time. That’s when you want to run the deep crosser to Jefferson. They sit back in cover three another 30% of the time, which should allow Hock to get some catches underneath, and for the running game to get some traction.

According to Fanduel, the Vikings remain a 2.5-point underdog going into this one, and the over/under is still at 43.5 points.
OK, on the ESPN Gamecast graphic, it says we have a 52.8% chance of winning going into the game.

I don’t understand why the Short Week makes less sense to JJ (QB)??
It is not like he will be playing vs the Poopeaters.
If Wentz is banged up then with less time to heal up I would say that JJ (QB) makes even more sense.
My take as well.
Coach has repeatedly stated that he wants JJ to be full participant in a full week of preparation and practice with the starters before he is named the starter.
That cannot happen on a short week.
If we lose tomorrow, and Wentz either plays poorly or gets hurt, I would expect JJ, otherwise, it will be yet another week.
He will probably get a hangnail that keeps him out for two weeks…..

The Asian beetles and boxelder bugs are just crazy today. As I walked out my front door, it was like walking through a curtain of bugs. Forgotten History is becoming one of my favorite channels, they dissect the fraud on both sides of the aisle. This is a great one.
Wentz handled the “revenge game” blather pretty well this week with the media. He sees things from a much different perspective these days. The Eagles drafted him. He started for them, and won a Super Bowl with them. He went through a bad stretch, got benched, then got traded. He knows the drill now, that nothing is forever, and nothing is promised. You go out and play the best you can. You give it your all and don’t look back. You don’t take any moment of any day for granted.
I’m pulling for Wentz to play really well tomorrow.

Indeed, and this is what I saw with Wentz. He’s got his life in order. He wants to play, and he wants to win.
I’ve seen some things on Twitter where people are downing Wentz, and promoting Hurts in Philly. Hopefully we can beat Philly, and then those folks can eat some crow.

I guess Ohtani was worth that huge contract the Dodgers gave him.
Last night he pitched six shutout innings, striking out 10 and ‘oh by the way’ hit 3 Hrs. He was the MVP for the NLCS and got Dodgers back into the series to try for back to back WS champs.

Yeah, it sucks. The Dodgers are like the 2000s Yankees, buy any player they want to every year and win multiple championships for years to come.
Played my Senior League Golf yesterday. Worst driving of the year, but my best fairway game. Shot my best score there ever, an 80 (easy course, par 70). Prior best was 81, last year.
Goes to prove the tee shot is not real important. From 150 yards in, i was very accurate, usually getting it in the cup in 3.
All you really have to do is not lose strokes off the tee. My scores got better after I stopped hitting driver. I could literally hit the ball 100 yards off line with that thing. I convinced myself that decently straight, and in the fairway was my best opportunity to not shoot a 6 or 7 on a hole. It has worked, as I rarely score worse than bogey now. Just get it in play, get it up around the green, chip it decently close and one putt or two putt.
My game in a nutshell.
Tomorrow will be Jordan Addison’s first game at US Bank Stadium this season.
The last time he played in a game on this field was Dec 29, last year against the Packers.

Good Morning.
Going to the gym for a bit this afternoon, The Teacher is still on the mend so she plans to ease back into it.
Then some collage football to watch, some pretty good games.
We picked up a Sheppards Pie yesterday at Costco, that thing is huge. Started on it last night and will be working on it the next couple of days. And I am not mad about that.
Hope the teacher feels better soon, for sure. The Shepards pie sounds great. I think the wife wants to go down to Tampa for lunch at Seasons 52. They have a great pork chop that I really like.
She got thru the ‘Shopping Therapy’ at Costco with no issues. It will be first trip to the gym since before her trip to Hawaii, about 4 weeks.
Don’t pull anything.
Cautious is her middle name.
She will start slow and slow down as necessary.
Short workout today and then assess going forward.
I have to go dump my dump trailer, including the chest freezer I removed from a property. They left food in the freezer after the power was shut off, it’s as horrific as you can imagine. I’m not looking forward to this. Luckily, I have my respirator & body suit at the shop, I’m definitely putting on full gear for this.
My pickup isn’t looking forward to it, either. Battery was dead this morning, someone must’ve left a light on in the cab or something, I have it charging right now.
Cleaning that house out sure was rewarding, though. A couple of the neighbors came over to talk to us & thanked us for getting the property cleaned up.
I’m still not looking forward to this trip to the dump. This friggin’ freezer is HEAVY.
My wife isn’t available to help today GF… sorry.
It’s not thw weight of it that I’m dreading, it’s the smell of rotting meat. A respirator doesn’t even eliminate the smell completely.
I went to Haiti a long time ago with Jimmy Carter for Operation Uphold Democracy. There were beheaded dead bodies lying everywhere, rotting in the streets. I’ll never forget the sight, or the smell.
