As we noted yesterday, Van Ginkel is out again tonight with his neck injury. I think he’s the only significant piece of the defense that is missing though. Flores brings more pressure than most DC’s in the league. I think he will try to pressure Herbert tonight.

You guys probably know this, but the East wing where Trump is building the ballroom, is not attached to the White House.
It is not costing me anything so I really don’t care. It is not likely I will ever be invited to use it.
But watching Lib/Woke heads explode is it’s own reward.
The false narrative is Trump is destroying the White House. They show pictures that make it look like he’s tearing down a side of the White House. Very devious.

Some nerd that never played football came up with it and sold the concept to the ‘Experts’.
NLV got to admit that chart looks like manufactured gobbledogook. Stats for stats sake.
Just give me 3 TD’s and 275 yards passing and I’m OK.
What it shows are the rate of missed throws by percentage (missed throws when the target was open) on the horizontal axis and drops by receivers on the vertical axis. It shows only ten QB’s have a lower rate of misses than Wentz, and 21 QB’s have a higher rate of misses. Also Wentz doesn’t have a high rate of dropped passes either. Thus, compared to other QB’s he does a good job of hitting open throws, and the receivers do a good job of catching his throws.
Just a way to show real data that Wentz isn’t “terrible”. It’s easy to focus on mistakes, and forget about successes.

So lets look at Hocks overturned TD reception on Sunday.
Was he ‘open’? Looked like to me and several others on this site.
Did he ‘drop the pass’? While originally ruled a TD the replay official says he did.
So does that make it a ‘missed throw’? A better throw would have made it a ‘no doubt’ TD.
I won’t even get to deep into Thielen’s ‘dropped passes’. ‘Databases’ show that he has one but several posters here says he has had about one a game. What is the standard for that??

So you go on this thing called computer, open Internet browser of choice, login to Amazon, then click on Prime Video and click on the game
Once you get to ‘Prime Video’ you have to click on ‘Sports’ and then on the game.
Took me a little while to figure that one out.
Yeah, it once pregame show starts it soils just show up when you get too prime video, I watch it on my smart tv so it’s a little different

I don’t remember him in any play on Sunday.
He certainly didn’t make much difference if he did.
Not injury related, he just refuses to go on the field with a QB who stares him down with no defender within 10 yards and then grounds the ball anyway.
It looked to me like Wentz was working Addison in the end zone not Hamm short. I think when O’Neill got beat he must have yelled for Wentz to look out, and that’s when he stepped forward and dirted the ball.
Just the way I see it after watching the all 22.

I doubt that most football fans will even watch or pay attention.
The half time is when you go to the bathroom and then refill your drink and plate.

Been talking to lots of folks on twitter about various QB’s the last several days. People either love, or hate Caleb. They either love, or hate Bo Nix. They either hate, or love Jayden Daniels… etc, etc, etc. Wentz, Hurts, Herbert, Rodgers, McCarthy, Cam Ward, Penix, Cousins, on and on. Man it’s wild out there.

Was in DC couple of weeks ago. My MIL huge skins fan loved Daniels. Guess he’s played badly last week or so, and she calls and says you know Daniels just ain’t got it.
But the most startling was a Ravens fan (lot in area as you know). And he says I’m tired of Jackson being hurt all the time and then we’re screwed. We need to TRADE him for a boatload of picks and rebuild the whole team. Lamar Jackson and he was dead serious.
Oh yeah… had several conversations about Lamar. Lots of folks calling him a bust now. Crazy. It’s the same with Daniels. He had a remarkable year last year, and now he’s suddenly no good. Same story with C.J. Stroud.
Crazy how people give up on a QB so quickly. Takes years to become good, especially consistently good.
This was what Cousins said to Jefferson after his first year. Great job! Now do it next year, and the next year, and the next year.

I was in Estes Park for a wedding this past weekend and a buddy and I went and had drinks and lunch at The Stanley and found the bar and sign from the movie, I yelled that out loud when I saw it. I have this movie memorized.
Been to Estes Park a few times, wife was born and lived in the boulder area for a while. We did the Stanley tour and it was pretty cool.
Took our boys out there a few times while growing up. Always rented a cabin for a few days up there. It’s gotten a lot more touristy from 20 years ago, constant traffic going through Estes now a days. Had a great brewery called Rock Cut.

Our QB is averaging almost 270 yards a game… that’s pretty damn good actually. In fact he’s 5th best in the league in the passing yards per game metric.
Whether folks like him or not, he is our QB tomorrow night and we need him to play well.

I’m a little surprised with the grades we’re seeing on Hargrave and Allen. They were brought in as top shelf, dominant D-lineman.

It’s weird that Herbert may have the worst O-line in the league but is still completing over 67% of his passes, and has the most passing yards.
Oh boy, pass defense again. Wonder if Harbaugh is watching tape of our secondary from last week.
Harbaugh is a tough, smart coach. He’s gonna fight you to the death. Grin. Herbert put up 420 yards and 3 TD’s last week against the Colts, but he also threw a couple interceptions. We’ll see how Harbaugh game plans us.
At the end of the day, Herbert might be Kirk Cousins, just with better biceps.
Herbert is a really good QB IMO. He came out as a rookie and did some great things. Like all young QB’s he had some ups and downs, and took his lumps, but I still think he’s one of the best QB’s in the league. I think Cousins is one of the best pure pocket passers ever.

We lost a winnable game to the poopeaters, at home, half the team is ded, our shiny new franchise QB-to-be is made of glass, we travel on a short week, I ran out of Weizen. Doom all around.
I came across some fan speculation the other day. I don’t know if it was ever kicked around here since I’ve been out a lot with harvest.
What do you guys think of this fantasy scenario?
KOC wanted Darnold back. He knew JJ wasn’t seasoned enough. Kwesi said, “Nope, we are going with JJ. We just got out of paying a QB big money. We aren’t going right back into that situation.”
Now there is trouble in paradise, and that is why KOC is so prickly. He is mad at Kwesi for not making something work with Darnold (or Jones for that matter), and he is stuck trying to make lemonade out of urine with JJ and Wentz.
Again…total speculation, but it fun to kick the tires of the scenario.
No, what we are seeing was the plan from the very beginning. We only had 4 bad QBs throughout the preseason, knowing we were going to cut two of them and sign the Ultimate Warrior Carson Wentz just days before the season started.

Here’s the deal, and why this isnt what happened. The Vikings offered both Darnold and Jones deals to stay, those were conditional, there was a set price point they were willing to pay for either. Darnold would have been less money and shorter term, Jones the same AND he was probably going to be regulated to back up/ if needed if JJ wasnt ready. Jones said F that, I learned enough here to bet on myself with guaranteed starting for Indy. Kwesi did his due diligence, end of the day, those two QBs bet on themselves to make more and start and they are doing so. Good for them. This notion that the Vikings just cast them aside and didnt even consider them is bull shit.
I really hope JJ can play the rest of the games this season, so we can hopefully see why they anointed him the man. If JJ don’t flash, and Darnold and Jones win playoff games, end of the season takes should be fun!

And I would bet KOC did same last year. He had just taken a castoff and turned him into a top performer. Do you think he wanted to go thru that yet again. And it’s not surprising that the HC and GM aren’t in perfect harmony on something like this. KOC loves his QBs and that’s OK.
If there is tension, something will maybe pop if the pressure gets turned up anymore.
Let them lose the next 2 games, pressure should turn up noticeably then.

I really dislike the Eagles. I’m sick of the tush push, Hurts can squat 600 pounds. their goofy coach and downright crappy fans. And the game was right there for us to win, and we blew it.
