Vikings vs. Ravens Discussion
The Vikings host the Ravens today, kickoff is at noon. Join us here for live conversation during and after the game, hopefully we’ll be celebrating in a couple/few hours. I’m sure most of us have been up watching football since the kickoff of the Colts-Falcons game in London earlier this morning, but now the real game begins.
Even though we’re not far past the mid-point of the NFL season, this is an important game for the Vikings. The Vikings are in the toughest division in the NFL, and falling under .500 this late in the season would make a division title nearly impossible. Let’s hope they come out ready to play like they did last week in Detroit. SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ass performance, constantly in 1st and 15 or 3rd and 7+ because of constant false starts AT FUCKING HOME! I think they just got called for another. Defense constantly in compromised positions, still managed to play respectably and not get completely sodomized. The JJs sucked, neither did either any favors, JJ wr seemed disinterested and fell down a couple times like a newborn deer learning to walk, and JJ QB missed him badly at least 4 times twice on out routes that were just too far outside and a couple times where he threw like his receiver was inspector gadget with go go gadget arms. Then there was special teams fucking up as usual with shitty coverage and a new wrinkle, the returner who can’t hold onto the ball. Simply stunning.
Well, that sucked. Gotta win your home games. This loss is on KOC. He does his young qb no favors with his play calls. JJ threw 42 times today when our running game was looking good. Must win game next week.
I think we’re seeing that McCarthy has never had to carry an offense on his arm. He has a 53% completion rate in his games. He makes a few great plays, and a lot of bad ones. He will have to learn how to run a passing offense efficiently. He is used to being on teams that run the ball most of the time, and for a lot of yards. He is not used to throwing the ball to win games. This was my take on him coming out of college, and so far it has not changed. We’ll see how he progresses.
I agree, that’s why it’s so frustrating watching the play calling from KOC. He’s not helping JJ progress by throwing it 42 times in his fourth start. There seems to be no short/quick throws. Where the hell is hockenson in this offense. A 6′ 6″ tight end that should be able to box a defender out once in a while and we never see it. Very frustrating. I doubt KOC would give up play calling, but maybe he should.
Yeah, KOC isn’t really taking care of McCarthy. Just letting him go out there and wing it.

In his mind, probably. Did he look motivated to you today? I thought he lacked effort and enthusiasm.
He didn’t, doubt it was his role though, they went to him early and often, sometimes it was an ass throw, sometimes he just seemed disinterested, like on that second pick even before he fell down he seemed half ass, not sure what his deal was, never seen him like that

If this is what you get from him for effort, time for the trade.
