Just for GF…
Oddly satisfying today…
Looks like the hill at Ft Carson that we would go up on to watch fireworks on the 4th of July.
Take care of yourself first…
He played one game for the Poopeaters.
Wonder if he still get paid the contract he just signed.
Yeah, dunno. Clearly he has some issues to work through though.
Hmmmm…
I might get crucified for this, but it would have been really interesting to see what Rodgers could have done with this season’s Vikings roster (injuries and whatnot aside).
Purely academic interest, of course. I firmly stand behind our young, probably a tad injury prone QBOTF and Kumbaya Kev, our peerless leader. They will lead us to success and glory (well, next season maybe, probably)!
Although your second paragraph are the obvious ramblings of an exceptionally intelligent man.
Well crucifixion went out of vogue around 337 A.D. sooooo…
Yup, then they upgraded to ‘Impaling’.
Perfected by Vlad Tepes, aka the original Dracula.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlad_the_Impaler
Yeah, read about old Vlad back in the early 70’s.
He fascinated me an older teen, read as much about him as I could find. Interesting guy in an interesting time doing lots of interesting things in an interesting place.
Hmmm kind of an odd fascination, but who am I to judge?
Teenagers are into weird stuff.
I think he was dead prior to the 70s.
Yeah, he did not live to see 70, Dang Turks.
He would have been murdered faster than Wentz.
He looks very pedestrian this season and ill equipped to handle the injury ravaged oline for the first half of the season, he’d be ded by now
Do we care?
we didn’t need him.
If the Vikings had signed him, his injury would have come back in his first game here.
Probably his first practice
Just had a very productive afternoon coding while listening to Metallica.
Stopped in to say,
Happy Tuesday, Kirk still sucks!
Cousins sucks… here’s the proof!
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/comeback.cgi?player=CousKi00
ATL has three wins.
Not making the playoffs, and the poor QB play is for sure part of the problem.
Kirk got his 1 start to prove he could handle it, and it went as expected.
He is doing well holding the clipboard for Penix and making bank.
I’m sort of a ‘people in glass houses’ guy. More worried about us making the playoffs and our QB play.
If you watch the all 22 of that Miami game, you’ll see Cousins actually played really well, and hit some really impressive throws. He made quick reads and delivered the ball under pressure well. As usual. The stats were mediocre, but he was better than they reflect.
Travis Hunter, #2 Draft Pick done for the season.

Sad… he was really playing well I believe.
Jon Gruden calls on NFL to ‘dump’ Thursday night games
Yes, Jon Gruden is correct. Ditch the Thursday night games.
They make no sense, they are unsafe, and more often than not they are bad football.
Move them to Friday night if you absolutely need the extra revenue. That would be a little better.
I’d stay up on a Friday night to watch most games.
Friday Night is HS Football across America.
Sat is Collage Football the NFL is Sunday/Monday.
Easier answer is to have the TNF teams scheduled to be coming off of a bye. That way they are not coming off of a short schedule.
That could work as well.
JJ McCarthy on Sunday’s pre-snap penalty issues:
“It was there; we just kept shooting ourselves in the foot. I take full responsibility for the pre-snap procedural penalties.”
“As a quarterback, you’re the orchestrator of the orchestra. I take full responsibility for anything that happens on that field, and at the end of the day, it’s just the little things that we gotta keep focusing on.
The focus, the competitive stamina, it’s all gotta be there, but I take full responsibility every single time something goes wrong.”
Like that he’s taking accountability.
Now it’s time to fix it, and fast.
Also my vote for the next Bond:
’It’s Bond…… Bowbunch Bond…’
Skol
🔨🔨🔨
Empty words IMHO.
He did not explain the reason it was happening just that ‘Buck Stops Here’. More like providing cover for the actual cause of all the penalties.
Did anyone ever explain what really was causing all these penalties. For a home team. really unusual.
And most of the time when a team has a lot of penalties, the “experts” usually say the coaches didn’t have the team well prepared (who knows).
Agreed. It’s nice that JJ is taking the blame for 8 (!) false starts at a home game, but his statement is so much hot air, nothing else. Empty words indeed. Politicians everywhere would be proud of this masterpiece.
He takes responsibility for “anything that happens on that field” which is kind of over the top. He’s just being generally accountable, and that’s what QB’s do. Pre-snap penalties aren’t always on him though. He can’t “fix” other people. He can correct his own errors, he can’t correct the errors of others. Those errors need to be addressed by the coaching staff, and they need to come up with the solution sets to correct the errors.
If he is “taking responsibility for everything” he is taking responsibility for nothing. That’s how I see it anyway. And I am right.
It’s not his fault if a running back fumbles 10 yards down field….get out of here with that nonsense.
Yep… in the end it’s blather.
Why wasn’t it an issue the games before?
Good question.
The quote is from an article on The Viking Age with a rather salacious headline – didn’t see how it was really fair to the former QB. It also includes this quote:
“Hearing McCarthy pull no punches and take the blame for what went wrong on Sunday is a stark contrast to what Vikings fans grew accustomed to hearing from their quarterback from 2018-2023. Then again, albeit only now four starts into his career, McCarthy is clearly wired way differently than Kirk Cousins is…..”
It’s KirkTuesday so why not I guess…
Full article linky thingy:

*snarky….. not salacious.
🤭
KDS is real…
Yup. Felt a bit off the top rope
I don’t understand the need to drag cousins into it, but lol, ok Vikings age
I don’t think Jordan Love is bad. He made some really good throws in crunch time last night that his receivers flat dropped. His career stats are pretty solid too, and he’s a 3rd year starter. BTW, he’s completed over 70% of his passes in 6 of his 9 games this year, and right now he has 103 passer rating. He is a very good QB.
He makes some very bad passes sometimes too, and some head-scratching decisions. I would say he’s a good QB (certainly better than average, but not top 10).
You’d be wrong though. He’s top 8 in passer rating, top 9 in completion percentage, and top 11 in yards per game. He’s really one of the better QB’s in the league. People seem to remember the poor throws, but never the good ones. Life of a QB.
Yeah, I see your point, but I’m not talking actual stats for this season. I think my rankings would have him maybe 12 or 13 at best. He gets some help from the refs (just like Rodgers did) to make him look better than he is. But Rodgers was legitimately great on his own, though I’d argue if extreme holds were ever called on his team when he was scrambling and extending plays, and he didn’t get a thousand illegitimate PI and defensive holding calls on 3rd downs to bail him out, his stats would be about 2/3 as good as what they are.
That could be a lengthy discussion… grin.
Maybe so, but he looked really lost in the pocket last night when he got a little pressure.
He also is a big risk taker type QB.
I think he also has the benefit of being a GB QB, which makes him look better than he is (via getting help from the refs significantly every game in some form or another)
I hope he sucks bad and gets benched.
FTP
Love is decent, he’ll make some absolute bonehead throws but also make some amazing throws downfield, he does have a good oline and good skill players. I thought the contract they gave him was premature though
Just wait until the Vikings sign McFragile™ to an eleventy billion dollar guaranteed contract.
Eleventy billion dollars
You love to hear it
I have a solution to yoos guys’s Bond conundrum. Sounds like the sentiment is it must be a white male, but the wokesters want a black female. I think we can make the wokies happy while giving you what you have described. A white, trans woman (which sane people know is a man) who is also a lesbian (well straight male to most).

Just think, Bond can play the discrimination card when they are trying to get into an exclusive party to get to a bad guy.
Please, never ever go for a career as a screenwriter, at least not for Bond movies, OK? Thank you!
I perfectly reached your requirement while also finding a way to be inclusive. I don’t see the issue here.
Can you imagine the “steamy” sex scenes!!! Oh, and the beautiful women – what might they be replaced with. Well, that’s kind of scary to think about.
They can still be beautiful women. They’re just “open-minded lesbians”.
Somewhere, Sean Connery and Roger Moore are weeping in their whiskies 😭
‘it must be a white male’
Well if the Bond Girl that was the mom was Holly Berry??
Yep. Plus, I just thought of something. Bond is from England and aren’t they all Muslims now?
Getting more and more so every single day.
You mean like New York? Besides, many good old English blokes left, currently trying to fight the islamification their own government is enabling.
That might be the funniest South Park episode.
James Bond is the pseudo for the spy. It’s not difficult, just make a new movie and call the character James Bond. I mean, for crying out loud, there has been multiple James Bond actors. I would go with Samuel L Jackson, but that is just me.
I vote for Sydney Sweeney.
She’d make a great Bond Girl.
Too old, not British enough.
He visited the prison where I worked. Although I didn’t meet him myself the Officers that did said he was a real A-hole.
That doesn’t seem surprising to me.
Lemme guess, entitled and obnoxious? Typical Hollywood bigwig, I’d wager.
Probably just Virtue Signaling to the inmates by acting like a douche to the C/Os.
Of course that he could do that and still be an A-Hole.
Believe he is also a rather vocal Trump hater.
A Hollywood Type who is Anti-Trump??
Great Movie, almost as good as the book.
Good morning, SKOL!
