Sorry this is posted late. I had things to do at work and shirked my responsibilities here. There goes my Christmas Bonus. We have college and NFL games today. I am looking forward to the Pukers losing to the Bears tonight. There may or may not be a game thread tomorrow for the Vikings game. That depends on if you guys fill this one up.
Stay warm! Cold and windy here today. I am very envious of people that have made the sane decision to live in a warmer climate.

So I had a dream/nightmare the other night.
I dreamt that there was a fire in the kitchen and I was running around looking for a fire extinguisher. Once I woke up a realized that we didn’t have one in the house except for a old/small one in the truck.
I thought, now is that possible not to have one?? It must be a warning sign. So yesterday I went back to Lowes and got a 2 pack of residential extinguishers. So now I can sleep well at night without the nightmares.
Of course now that we have them we won’t need them as that is how my life works. In this case I am ok with not needing one.
Gives me pause – we don’t have one either.
I would recommend getting one.
Even if it is to keep the wife from blaming you if the house burns down. #grin

It is possible that the Vikings could eliminate the FTP from the playoffs. That game could be fun.

Although Willis played decently last night.
Willis clearly benefited from some excellent coaching. One of the better QB2 coming off the bench relievers I’ve seen this season.
I also wish we had a Richard Hightower (Bears ST coach).
Since someone has to win the North and it can’t be us I would rather it be the Bores. Anyone other than FTPs even the Loins.
As much as I dislike The Crybaby/Nail Painter he is still a better option than FTPs.
I much prefer the Bears. BTW that was DPI by Nixon on the walk off catch by DJ.

Seems like they can, and often do, call PI/Defensive Holding/Illegal Contact on every pass play.

Hopefully we eliminate FTP from playoff consideration the last week of the season, as Surly suggested.
It would ‘almost’ make this year a success despite all that QB drama we have had.
Looks if we are in position to eliminate FTP that would most likely let the Loins in.
So we would probably need to lose to Detroit next week? Not rooting to lose so will hope for us to win each week and ‘let the chips fall where they may’.
Interesting dilemma, is it better for the Vikings to lose if it keeps FTP out of the playoffs?
Maybe this year since we are not getting in and it would help us with draft position??
My brain is not ready for these possibilities, maybe by next weekend.

This one looks more legit, hit on Love, both players lowered their heads but defender went in with head lowered although he was planning to his midsection.
Basicly a penalty for playing football.
Love is out of the game, Willis is in.
Don’t know if the hit discussed above is what took him out.
I stopped watching long enough to sit with The Teacher and eat dinner.
There is the 4th 14 yard roughing penalty, at least.

Took Oregon less than 2 min to go up on James Madison, I suspect this game will ‘Go Ugly Early’.

The Oilers will have to win over 2/3 of games remaining to make the playoffs. The math is getting difficult.

How come the Eagles right guard (who is calling the line sets) NOT being called for a procedure penalty on every play? No way he is set for a count before the ball is snapped.
The league wants the Eagles to win?
Because League Officials can ignore penalties when they want to.
Or make up other ones on the spot it seems.
Haven’t noticed this. If he’s in a two point stance, he’s fine. If he’s in a three point stance that can get dodgy.
He’s standing straight up calling the line blocking, Then as he is moving down the ball is being snapped. He’s not even set.
I don’t think he has to be “set” if his feet don’t move… but I could be wrong.
Well, that doesn’t explain why when a lineman flinches with his body, a false start gets called.
Once you are in a three point stance you can’t move. Does not apply in a two point stance.
