Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
Ham and Thielen had a joint retirement press conference, fitting for a couple of guys who defied the odds and had long NFL careers as UDFAs.
Apparently all the mock drafters have something called Thienemem, a safety, being drafted by the Vikings. I doubt it, but who knows.

DL help?
They have already met with all of these guys and no doubt are going to meet many more between now and the draft. And didn’t they not meet with The Hitman so as to not tip their hand??

A total of 21 tackles in 2025, 74 for a 5 year career???
‘Practice MVP‘ for one of the teams in the America Bowl?? Whatever that is.
I don’t think he would be worth more than a 7th round maybe, probably more likely a UDFA.
How many of you actually remember this car?
Pretty quiet weekend around here.
I am guessing too much sports on TV and spring-like weather breaking out over much of the US. Not to mention some NFL doldrums between free agency and the draft.
I’ve sort of checked in on and off today… been working in the yard, and also cleaning out closets. We’re going to take a lot of stuff to a place that provides clothes to the homeless. We have so many clothes. Time to clear out the clutter.
We cleaned out our closets when we moved here. There is a bunch of stuff I have kept but not worn since then so I have no doubt I could donate even more ‘stuff’ without missing it.
“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities; but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it… No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.”
— Winston Churchill
This a real breakthrough from the University of Nottingham researchers, where a protein-based gel mimics natural enamel proteins to regenerate early damage using saliva minerals. It’s coming soon.
Tax the rich doesn’t work as a strategy for massive social programs and fraud… for the rich.
Hocul has to be literally insane to tell rich people to leave her state and then a few years later beg for them to come back so she can tax then to buy votes from the ‘do nothings’ who only profit off of ‘generous social programs’.
She better hope that those ‘high net worth’ people got their money by being stupid.
Indeed… come back so I can take all your money…
But it’s been working – 5% pay over 60% of federal income tax and that trend is getting worse.
The Dem’s have perfected the art of blood sucking, while claiming it’s for the greater good. Also convincing enough people in the country that socialism and Mamdani’s new favorite phrase “the warmth of collectivism” is what everyone should be pursuing. The rich are bad, and they should contribute all their money to the Government, which of course will then provide programs to support the “under served” in our country. Seems like the more they tax us, and the more money they suck out of the economy, the more the under served never get anywhere. It’s about building a citizenry that is wholly dependent on a Marxist Government to survive. You know, like in Cuba where things are so good, the leftists have gone down there to protest Trump and his work to free the masses.
Paul Harvey… good day!
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet 16!
Un. Fucking. Real.

I did not see that coming. I thpugjt Neb was over-rated. Shows what i know…..
I get it. I’m a lifelong Husker fan. We were the only power 5 school to never win a 1st round game – in 48 hours we’ve shed that and managed to reach the Sweet 16 for the first time in history – something I was certain I would NEVER see in my lifetime.
Absolutely playing with house money at this point. Competition will only get tougher (Florida next likely). This team lives and dies by the deep ball and tough defense. Team full of snipers that when hot, can bury you in points fast.
Hats off to Vandy – also a team full of shooters and that Tanner kid was an absolute monster.
Speaking of Huskers, it was nice to see Taylor, 157 lb, defending national champ, lose in the finals. That guy is a jerk, even threw his ankle straps at the opponent after the match. Freshman from Oklahoma beat him in major upset.
Go Underdog!
“only power 5 school to never win a1st round game”. That was surprising to me when I heard that on the TV. I follow the big ten a little bit, but did not know that. Big Ten is representing pretty well so far.
That was an exciting game
Max McEnelly, a sophomore from U of M just beat the #1 ranked wrestler from Penn St to win the NCAA championship at 184 lbs.
Congratulations Young Fella!!
Ok, finished up the shed now.
I had to put a hole in side, lining up with the power outlet so we could access it from inside the shed. Then I flied down the uncooperative corner of the door so that it only needs a ‘foot assist’ to close. Then I decided to go the Man Store to have some plywood cut for the floor. The Teacher ‘HAD’ to with me to get some springtime flowers and yard accents. Once those were taken care of I could then load up the shed with stuff that was cluttering the garage.
Shed is about 3/4s full, it will fill itself in time no doubt. The garage is looking much better, more room, not so much stuff cluttering up the corners. Ok, tomorrow I ain’t doing shit, for sure!! #grin
Rumor mill…
He has some value with his brains and effort, if only he tackled a bit better. Good locker room and special teams guy I expect.
Can all of that be replaced with a cheaper draft choice? You can get some bigger, more athletic LBs in the 7th round but no guarantee that they work out as well as Pace does.
Lee Trevino…
I went to the book store today and asked if they had Donald Trump’s new book on deportation.
She snapped and said, “Get the hell out of here and don’t ever come back!”‘
I said, “Yes, that’s the one, do you have it in hardcover?”
Looks like Tiger is going to give the Masters a go.
Assuming he doesn’t get hurt in practice rounds.
That was last Saturday when his jet was spotted there. Lots of rumors going around on whether he’ll play. I would love it if he teed it up, but McIlroy said he doubted it will happen. He said Tiger is still recovering from his latest back surgery.
We’ll find out soon enough. 19 days to the start of the first round, 16 days to the start of Masters week.
It probably depends on the local Perkins have any new, hot waitress working there.
Jones coming back, at a reduced rate.
Any idea where we are currently sitting in Cap Space?
I lost track with ‘going to cut, not cut, reworked contracts’ not to mention Wentz signing. Number changes with each step of the process. We still have The Hitman to work out, if he stays, possible Greenard trade, possible Potato reworked contract, I am sure I am missing others.
Over the Cap has us at just over $8M in cap space right now.
Found it, it shows $8M currently but I don’t know when it was last updated.
This is the perspective and reality we need to present to our citizens…
Does not support the Dim/Lib/Woke narrative.
Indeed… and this is why the country has issues. The leftist politicians WANT a dependent citizenry. They want a welfare state where the voters are completely reliant for their survival on the Government. It doesn’t actually ever work though, because as Margaret Thatcher so famously said, eventually you run out of other people’s money.
‘eventually you run out of other people’s money’
But they have learned that they can just continue to print more. They figure someone else will clean up the mess later.
Politicians and Diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason.

Another late start here today.
Put together a metal shed Thursday/Friday. Instructions said 2 hours to assemble but it was more like 6-7. And I thought Ikea instructions were bad, good thing The Teacher has experience putting together stuff for her classroom and she was getting very frustrated at the instructions.
Scariest words inn American culture “Some assemble required.”
I would think a metal shed would have a lot of screws and pieces to assemble. 2 hours would be a very optimistic timeline to me.
I went out and trimmed the shrubbery this morning. It was getting a little unsightly. I like a nice well trimmed bush, as it were.
Yes there was literally 100s of nuts, bolts, screws, washers, etc.
Was thinking if we had to put it together again learning from all the mistakes and misunderstandings from the instructions we still would not complete it within two hours.
The Teacher is frustrated that the door does not quite hang square, binds in one corner when closing. She is considering redoing that corner, she is a perfectionist in most things.
Good thing she has such bad taste in men. #grin
I can relate… got one of those too. Every morning she’s like “we got to make the bed”. She’s constantly cleaning and straightening up around the house. Dusting, etc. Very fastidious. She’s a little OCD about two things… keeping everything clean and neat, and her fitness. I’m good with that.
Why she picked me, I have no idea. I’m not a slob, and I treat her well. That’s about it.
‘Why she picked me’
Women are incomprehensible most of the time.
I finally figured out ‘just find a good woman you can trust’ the rest is a bonus.
i agree. My wife is Hispanic, and is the youngest of three girls in her family. By default, her dad treated her like a boy, taking her hunting and fishing with him. She is a Texas gal through and through, and isn’t afraid to Cowgirl up as they say. Her culture is “the man is first” and that’s how her mom treated her dad. It’s just her nature to care for me. I love that about her, and appreciate it. I’m the lucky one, I think.
I bought a resin died a few years ago, 7X10, I also built a treated lumber foundation for it, it took me an entire Saturday and I got yelled freezey style at by the guy at Home Depot for parking in the wrong pickup spot when I went get it
When I picked up this shed the lady at the ‘pick-up’ stationed told me ‘it is 128′ long you are going to need a bigger truck’. I said ‘the shed is only 7’x5′, I could put in the truck assembled no problem’. When I went to actually pick it the box up the workman told there was nothing in the store that was 128′ long.
‘Chicks am I right??’ #grin
4:20 over here.
Good night, skoloholics
Guten Nacht.
20 days till the start of round 1 of the Masters.
‘Masters’
Sounds racist.
Or maybe sexist.
Oregon safety, Dillon Thieneman is being mocked somewhat religiously now to the Vikings by the pundits. He is fast, posting a 4.35 forty at the combine, but we need an enforcer back there. A thumper. I don’t think he’s a hitter. I kind of like Emmanuel McNeil-Warren out of Toledo.
Three name guys are pansies
Laughing. He can’t help his mother wore the pants in the family…
lol, that’s exactly where my mind goes, I know a guy who actually took his wife’s last name, total eunuch
OMG… no way… what a cuck…
Yeah, he’d probably apologize to his wife for her cheating on him
He must be a D/Lib/Woke.
They’re friends of my ex wife, I’ll never forget several years ago we went to the state fair with them and he wanted some specific treat, they’re both doctors mind you, and she was like that’s an extravagant purchase we don’t need to make, he just gave in, I would not have
I love my wife. She dotes on me, and treats me like gold. I could never acquiesce to some woman bossing me around. Just not in my DNA.
good for you, that’s how it should be
It is. She cares for me, I care for her. Second marriage for me. She’s 17 years younger. I told her when we met I thought she was too young for me, but then again she could change my diapers when I got old. For some reason she thought that was funny, and we just grew together after that.
There are three S that are universally considered 1st round worthy. Those two and Downs who is generally considered a Top 5 pick.
I try to get one of those at #18 and if they are all gone I will go NT and then try for Haulcy in the 2nd or Smith, Ramsey or Wheatley in the 3rd and then OC.
We got him!!!
I guess I can move OT further down on my priority list for Mock Drafts.
I already did that with CB and QB3.
So what position is most pressing right now? Safety? ILB? DT?
I usually go S, NT, OC, then depth at WR/RB/Edge/TE/OG/LB/CB whomever is Best Available when my pick comes up.
Edge will certainly move up the priority list if we trade Greenard.
I’m a little surprised that a Greenard trade deal hasn’t developed. Thought the Eagles were interested, but Howie isn’t gonna offer you what you want. He’s a born horse trader. One of the best in the business. Guess he was low-balling us and Brez wasn’t playing.
They’re zero need for an ILB, they have two starters and a guy with a fair amount of starting experience
as far as most pressing need, when it comes to the draft it’s BPA
Interesting take. If we’re strong enough at every position, that all we should do is go with BPA, we should contend for the Super Bowl (i.e. be in the playoffs).
Not what I meant, just when it comes to the draft unless you’ve got like a top 10 pick with a sure fire starter available you’re essentially drafting someone to make a true impact next year, though hoping he can start and at least not suck this year. This philosophy is what led them to drafting a certain HOF receiver in 98 despite zero need at the position. I’d say with where they’re at the next two seasons, as it stands now they could go in a lot of different directions based on seeing past just this season.
So if the BPA is a WR we should pick him?
that’s what Dennis green would say
Hmmmmm…
BPA at a position of need.
Now if a generational talent is there ala ‘AD’ you take them no doubt.
BPA at position of need, Bradbury and Treadwell
Treadwell was a position of need?
Returner/Gadgit player?
Slick thought he was PBA and he traded up to get him.
He was absolutely position of need
They should still draft a center
So, swing tackle because darrisaw is unreliable and O’Neill has had injuries the last two years.
Chuck Norris got a hole in one… with a bowling ball.
Chuck Norris counted to infinity…..twice. And he could divide by zero.

The wrestler from ASU with pink hair with hearts just loss in the NCAA championship tournament. As it should be, wrestling in pink hair? This is not some San Francisco gay bar.
Again, will submit myself to ‘sensitivity training’.
Al Jazeera, the Qatari state media network, historically critical of American military action, the network Tucker Carlson and the anti-war leftist folks love to cite against Israel, is now calling the U.S. bombing campaign brilliant and effective, and saying it has been underestimated.
When the media outlet of a nation that hosts both the largest American air base in the Middle East and a Hamas political office starts praising American military effectiveness, the message is unmistakable… they think we’re going to win.
Or maybe they are just gaslighting the entire world!
Gaslighting is when you insist people believe your version of events despite what their eyes and sensibilities tell them. Al Jazeera is confirming what we’re seeing and sensing here.
I said maybe…
So basically 90 % of the comments on here

Another one…
Excellent!!
This is great!
If I remember correctly, his first action movies were from the late 70s.
Before that Charles Bronson was probably the most prominent action movie hero
Charlie Bronson’s got rope…..

Such an excellent movie.
Rocco: Fuckin’- What the fuckin’. Fuck. Who the fuck fucked this fucking… How did you two fucking fucks…
Rocco: Fuck!
Connor: Well, that certainly illustrates the diversity of the word.
That movie is definitely a cult classic, barely any marketing or coverage across theaters, I remember I was at meps (military entry processing station) signing up for the military and of course you sit around for half a day before actually doing anything. Anyway, there were three of us sitting there basically looking at the wall and the front desk guy comes out with the old school tv on a cart and said, watch this, you guys will like it, they he put in that movie. I was like what is this horseshit, I’ve never heard of it. Then I watched it and was like why have I never heard of it, this Is awesome.
Heard they wanted to put Chuck Norris’s face on Mt Rushmore, but the granite wasn’t tough enough.
And of course the classic: One time a cobra bit Chuck Norris. After 5 days of pain and agony, the snake died.
The absolute, hands down, quintessential Chuck Norris joke.
While reading an article about fathers and sons having their first drink together, I remembered the time I took my daughter out for her first drink.
We went to a bar just two blocks from the house.
I got her a Sam Adams. She didn’t like it. so I drank it. Then I got her a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Same thing — so I drank that too. Then I tried a Blue Moon. Nope… drank that as well.
Thinking maybe she’d prefer something stronger, I ordered a Tito’s and soda. She wouldn’t touch it… so I drank it.
In desperation, I even got a top-shelf bourbon — the bar’s finest. She wouldn’t even smell it… so I drank that too.
By the time I realized she just didn’t like to drink, I was so drunk I could barely push her stroller home.
Good one.
Almost made The Teacher spit up her coffee.
Chuck Norris once kicked a horse in the face. They are now called giraffes
A true great… RIP
Have a Coke and smile
Great commercial…
He was a great football player.
LOL.
Did you even read this?
It’s fake.
It’s the wrong the Joe Greene.
Laughing… obviously not…
Chuck Norris has banged thousands of women but is still a virgin because he’s never lost at anything
????
Losing your virginity equals ‘lost’ at something??? More like getting rid of something and equals ‘win’.
At least for guys.
I will check myself into mandatory training to cure my ‘lack of sensitivity’.
Chuck Norris once told a woman to calm down, and she listened.
Laughing… never heard that one before.
Classic.
Going to use that one on The Teacher, maybe.
I doubt it
He didn’t try to ‘understand her’, which is impossible even for other women, he just got her to ‘calm down’ which is hard enough to do.
I just don’t believe any woman who ever lived calmed down when told to do so, even by Chuck
Chuck is going to haunt you now for saying that.
When Chuck Norris did pushups, he pushed the earth down.
Chuck Norris won an arm wrestling tournament, with both arms tied behind his back.
knowing the song of the day was picked for me….
Love MCR, didn’t start listening to them until like 5 years ago though
i have been to quite a few of their concerts in their hayday, but still a band i listen to.
Favorite Chuck Norris joke:
‘If Chuck Norris is ever late, time better slow the fuck down…..’
RIP Walker….
In the Beginning, there was nothing. Then Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked nothing and told it to get a job.
I just got home to my new residence a little while ago, loading up the last few things this morning since 6. Closing today in a few minutes. Bittersweet, thought I’d be in the house at least for the entirety of my kids lives, but as they say, shit happens when you party naked, at least I’ll get a fat check this afternoon. Au revoir to my old life, hola to my new one.
Congrats/Condolances.
When we moved here I sold the SoCal house, took the proceeds and paid off the Idaho House that we had been leasing out until we were ready to move. Fun times, moving in pieces until the end. Lots to do to settle in.
Enjoy the adventure.
How’s Idaho?
We love it, no locking the mailboxes, efficient medical system, pleasant people all over, no ‘homeless’ issue, logical government. So not like SoCal.
On to bigger and better….
or at least different.
change sucks, and it’s constant.
Good luck.
Is different, that’s for sure
I moved at the end of November, from the house we had been in for 14 years….never expecting to move…
love the new place though!
where did you end up moving to and is it a positive?
glad to hear you love the new place
Moved to a townhouse in maplewood
Not exactly a positive, got divorced
that’s right i did hear the rumblings of that a while back on here, i’m sorry to hear that.
where in maplewood? my church is in maplewood. you should come visit.
Kinda by the mall, which church
Twin Cities Bible Church
We’re off of Hazelwood and County C, down closer to hwy 36
we’re having a potluck this sunday, classic minnesota church potluck, you should come
I might check it out, have the kids this weekend
we are kid friendly
Are there churches that aren’t?
Bittersweet thing for sure. Hopefully it’s more of the sweet for you and your family.

Chuck Norris is dead at 86 years old.
I guess I need to bring back the gif I used on Mark over on the DN.
RIP
Yep, that was Mark’s response.
Also, I always liked everyone over there for the most part, with the exception of Geoff, who I always called Ge-off because he was such a jerkoff.
For some reason Mark got on my nerves. Not all the time, just sometimes.
Yeah, he could be a little high horse condescending but I still liked him, especially making fun of him
For some reason I thought he was older…
It seems like he has been around forever.
I like reading his mock draft stuff. All of the trades he likes to do are unrealistic, but still a good read when he does them. He obviously puts in the time to research/critique the college players.
Chuck Norris did mock drafts? I’m sure he crushed it.
