Vikings Discussion

We’ve made it to the weekend! Kiddo and I are near Canada, somewhere near the middle of nowhere, for a basketball tournament. Kiddo is playing tomorrow starting at 9:00 am, and they’ll play their last game sometime around 4:00 pm. It’s a long day of basketball, followed by a three hour drive back home. Well, it took us three hours to get here, I’m nearly 100% certain that the ride home won’t take as long.

NFL News

A former Vikings wide receiver is eyeing a potential return to Minnesota to re-assume the WR3 role with his former team, per MSN. K.J. Osborne has expressed interest in reuniting with the team, which should make most fans happy, Osborne was a popular player in his time here.

Deandre Hopkins had previously expressed interest in joining the Vikings as well, but apparently, the Vikings have no interest in bringing him aboard, per Yahoo Sports.

ClutchPoints.com has the Vikings moving up to #11 to draft Jeremiah Love in next month’s draft. I’d be happier than a puppy with two peters if that happened, but I seriously doubt that Love would be available at 11. If he is, then they should do what it takes to get the running back, he’s a game changer from day one.

CBS Sports predicts five potential landing spots for Odell Beckham Jr., if he succeeds in making a return to the NFL.

The Browns are ‘adamant’ that they aren’t trading Myles Garrett after restructuring his contract, per NFL.com. I don’t believe a word of that, I trust nothing that NFL GMs tell the media, especially during the silly season, and especially the Browns. If there’s a stupid move to make, you can count on the Browns to be the team to do it.

Media Selection

It’s the weekend, a perfect time for conspiracy theories mixed with doom and gloom.

Thread Guidelines

  • Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
  • Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
  • Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
  • To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.

Muslims are saying the quiet part out loud and too many of them are willing to put into action, violently.

Lost power at the house for about an hour and a half, bother. Wife was cooking up some meat sauce, and the coffee machine was brewing up my third cup. Started the game over. Great watching the Vikings offense and defense doing so well.

Losing power in SoCal was pretty normal, even bought a small generator there for such events as they could last for 8hrs or more. Having a gas stove helped as well.
Here we have lost power once for about 90 minutes, during a storm, in the two years we have been here. We have an electric stove here so I got a gas BBQ in case we need to do some cooking during an outage.

A generator definitely helps, but it’s a bit of a deal to get it wired in etc. If there’s a prolonged loss of power, I go to a hotel for a day or two. Grin.

We bought our retirement home 5 years ago, put in a whole house generator. We are on well water, so no power,no flushing!.

We lose power 2-3 times a year, usually less than 2 hours. Once this winter we lost it for 3 days. I love the peace of mind

We considered the Whole House Generator thing in SoCal, power outages were a regular thing especially during ‘wildfire’ season, and winters and the summer ‘Rolling Brownouts’ etc.
We still have emergency lights in every room in case. Plus in the back of our minds it is always a consideration.

Rewatching the week 7 game of 2019 where the Vikings beat the Eagles 38-20.

Cousins threw to Diggs for three of his four touchdowns, racking up 333 passing yards as the Vikings ravaged the Eagles secondary.

This was the game Zach Brown, who was on the Redskins with Cousins, said in the week leading up to the game, that Cousins was the weak link on the offense, and they wanted the ball in his hands. In the presser after the game, Cousins said he was unaware of Brown’s comments and he was a great player and teammate in Washington.

The Eagles released Brown the next day, and he never played in the NFL again.

Fishing update: the 2 boys had fun. Using spinners they caught 12 trout, lost a bunch. Most everone else were using worms or corn, so the boys made them all look pretty bad. They were good size, for stockers – 11 inch average i would say. Bigger than other years. Kept 3 12 inchers for dinner.

Next week i head to the mountains for some real fishing

Corn for fishing? Never heard of that, how do you even get corn to stay on a hook?? Throwing some in the water to draw in fish I could see.

The US Supreme Court is about to consider President Trump’s executive order that ends birthright citizenship for illegal aliens and migrants who cheat the system. Oral arguments begin on 1 April.

Trump’s EO directs all U.S. government agencies to refuse issuing citizenship documents to children born to illegal immigrants or children who do not have at least one parent who is an American or a lawful permanent resident.

The constitutional provision at the center of the case, known as the citizenship clause, is part of the 14th Amendment, which was added to the Constitution in 1868. The clause confers citizenship on anyone “born … in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” It was intended to overrule the Supreme Court’s notorious 1857 decision in Dred Scott v. Sandford, holding that a black person whose ancestors were brought to this country and sold as enslaved persons was not entitled to any protection from the federal courts because he was not a U.S. citizen. Trump and many others maintain that the clause has been utilized by illegal aliens to birth their children on U.S. soil, and claim citizenship in appropriately.

This is a landmark case for the U.S. and we’ll see how the Supreme Court interprets the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment. It is my opinion that liberals will see it as including anyone and everyone born on U.S. soil regardless.

President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele releases video showing the transformation of his country.

Since Bukele took office:

– Homicides plunged from 2,398 in 2019 to just 114 homicides in 2024.

– Murder rate is now 1.9 per 100,000 people, a historic low.

– In 2022, Bukele declared a state of exception and made over 85,000 arrests.

“Everything in life has a cost and the cost of being called authoritarian is too small to bother me much,” he once said.

Remember, the left wants total control, and they label anyone who opposes them and fights to restore law and order as an authoritarian. High crime and public fear is a fundamental need for Marxists to take power.

I agree. The immense and overt resistance of the left to make the country safer, more secure, and more prosperous must be addressed by the law abiding, tax paying citizens. They must vote these people out of office. The Dem’s have rigged their states to make that almost impossible, but the tide is turning in my opinion.

The Tampa Mayor is extremely pro Muslim, and their numbers have grown from around 10,000 in 2000 to over 750,000 in 2025.

Tampa’s LGBTQIA+ Mayor Jane Castor has surrendered Tampa to a Muslim Brotherhood stronghold.

She signed an official proclamation declaring March “Ramadan Muslim Heritage Month,” praising Islamic organizations for their “many contributions to our city and nation,” while hosting taxpayer-funded Iftars at city venues and lighting City Hall green.

At the heart of this transformation is Magda Elkadi Saleh — Head of School at Bayaan Academy and former leader at Universal Academy of Florida (UAF) and American Youth Academy (AYA).

Magda is the daughter of Dr. Ahmed Elkadi, identified as the national “General Mas’ul” (leader) of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood in the 1980s. Her grandfather Mahmoud Abu-Saud worked directly with Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna in Egypt.

Over 30+ years, Magda has built and led multiple Islamic schools in Tampa that emphasize intensive Qur’an, Arabic, Hadith, and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence).

Believe it or not, the Muslim voting population in Tampa is now sufficient to sway all elections, and create an entirely Muslim led Governance structure.
