Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to your week 5 game-day thread. Our beloved Vikings travel to New Orleans to face off against the New Orleans Saints. Your Minnesota Vikings lead the all time series 25-13. Some of the more memorable are the Minneapolis Miracle game, where Diggs got a TD reception to win the game in the final seconds. Who can’t forget about the one time Kirk Cousins won a playoff game throwing a corner TD pass to Kyle Rudolph, was it offensive pass interference? According to the refs and the replay booth, it was not. Then on the flip side and the main topic usually discussed when it comes to the Saints. the 2009 NFC championship game. Or better known as the Bountygate game, where the Saints set out, and successfully injured Brett Favre.
The New Orleans Saints may be the best 0-4 team, whereas the Minnesota Vikings are considered the worst 4-0 team. Will the Saints get their first win of the season, or will the Vikings enter their bye week 5-0. Before the season started, no one expected the Vikings to be undefeated at this point. Well, none of the so called experts thought that anyway. There were a few here that thought it was a possibility, but most people thought we would be lucky to be 2-3. Kyler looked pretty good today. Decisive. I’ll take turnover free football all day, every day. Good to see him use his legs and speed – if the offensive line continues to be a wet paper bag, he’ll need to do it more.
Defense harassed and confused Shough all day. Didn’t fill up the stat sheet, but that offense was never really a threat today.
Loving the collective play of our defensive line. Lunch pail attitudes. Disciplined in the run game. Bunch of rooks and UDFA’s – and they’re all flashing at times. Speaks to our depth and line coaching.

Will for MVP – name a player more valuable to their team in the last 5 weeks. I honestly can’t. Without him we’re a losing football team.
I picked the Vikes in the pool (I’ll NEVER pick them to lose, ever) and I put 14 confidence points on them. 14 for Stefon Diggs and the Minneapolis Miracle. Suck it, 9th Ward (yes Edge, I still hate them, and yes….. it’s justified. Mickey Loomis is still an *aint….)

Murray was good today, made some plays off schedule, used his legs, missed seeing Jennings for a TD but he was good and efficient
the oline sucks, they need darrisaw back more than any other injured player because #72 is absolute total trash, just complete garbage
the backup TEs did a good job after hock went out
Defense was smothering, especially the front 7, the cash man, VG, and Wilson were all over, the amputee made a couple nice plays too, makes the job of the backend a lot easier when you get constant pressure

NYG and Redskins game ends in a tie! I love it, what a shitshow that overtime was, incompetence, baby Peyton Hillis fumbles, atrocious clock management from Washington and it ends in a tie, awesome!

Our vikes are 10-0 in games that count going back to last season. Haven’t lost since 11/30/25! I know scoring 30 points every game would be great, but who cares when you’re winning. Let’s enjoy the ride. SKOL!

Mild optimism, very optimistic about the defense, a little optimistic about Murray, very optimistic about ST particularly Reichard, zero optimism about the oline, constant pressure, sacks and penalties, getting darrisaw back will help because 72 absolutely sucks but they all need to play better

5-0 feels a lot better after that game. Clean up the penalties and fumbles and we can be really good.
Vikings dominated this game, should have been a blowout but stupid penalties and fumbles kept it relatively close. Murray missed a couple throws but was much better today and did a good job using his legs. The oline is ass pass blocking but they did ok run blocking. Hopefully darrisaw, Mason, hock and Addison are all back after the bye
