Happy Thorsday and welcome to Skoloholics. Not much for Vikings news this week since we have our bye. But, with the Vikings, when it comes to bye weeks no news is good news. I think we all remember the Love Boat, and Addison “rushing his dog to the vet” episodes.

Jauan Jennings is an interesting case. He signed as a FA and there was high expectations. Reports I have seen say he is being asked to things here he is not used to and not very good at.
Sunday he was open for a TD and Murray looked toward him and then went to the other side of the field for an incompletion. That prompted his sideline outburst at KOC. I get the frustration and would think/hope it could be fixed but that boat may have sailed already.
So now it look like he may be gone while we have some depth issues due to injuries, Addison/JJ, and finding a good fit at WR3.

i’d rather not trade him, hope things turn around for him and keep him in the fold this year in case addison or JJ get hurt again…
it is very puzzling to me how little he has contributed so far, obviously alot of that is on kyler, but besides the one obvious open shot he had, has he been getting open alot? idk…
I would like to see them use Jennings in the Josh Oliver role. Jennings is more like a TE than a WR, in my opinion. He isn’t very fast, doesn’t get separation when covered by a DB, but could beat a LB, maybe.
This is a good idea.
I wonder if the “personal family matter” that caused him to miss the Chicago game is playing into/adding into any of his mood/affect and making him easily frustrated, or if it’s just the matter that they won’t throw him the ball?
The thought crossed my mind if he and Kyler have some history/issue.
In the clip I saw it almost looked like Murray saw a sure TD and then realized it was Jennings and so he went to another receiver that was more closely covered and the pass was knocked away.
Doubt that was the case but if he is advocating for KOC to ‘make’ the midget throw to him that was not going to work out well.
It’s blurry to me now, but I recall seeing him scan in Jennings’ direction, but I didn’t see a glimmer of recognition that he was open, and then he scanned to the other side of the field and threw it that way.
Anyone find video of the play?
Jennings was outside the coverage with lots of open field to his outside and between him and the goal line.
Maybe Murray thought he was so slow that the coverage would be able to jump the route for a Pick 6.
Seems like with a little air under it only Jennings would be able to get to it, But I could be wrong, I often am.

The Vikings and I are both the same age. We have both been through a lot. Will this be the year? Doubtful. But i will withhold judgement until we get through our competitive stretch in November / early December. But in the back of my mind, i remember an old Peanuts cartoon. Charlie Brown walks into the house, dirty and dejected, wearing his baseball hat, and carrying his bat and glove. Got my picks in. It was tricky. I had to take a few underdogs, as usual.
I just went for it today. I didn’t really look at the odds.
I had a tooth abscess in the cornfields Tuesday night, but didn’t know it was that level of a problem until yesterday.
Going for a root canal in two hours. Looking forward to it. I’m in too much discomfort to concentrate on even things like picks.
