The Bears were able to defeat the Patriots last night 30-24. I watched the first half of the game. Both teams look very beatable.
If you want hockey updates you will have to ask MT, as I do not follow hockey. To me, it is soccer on ice. Kind of like Disney on ice, but more physical.

Well if he is going to binge on Video Games and skimp on an 5-0 team it is probably better that we learn that now rather than after signing him to a big contract going forward.

So with Jones Injury… does that heal up quickly at all? I can’t imagine playing on it is helpful… how close is he to being out? Shit worries me.
It’s the MCL, right?
The MCL has a decent blood supply, so healing time depends on how severe the tear is, and how compliant the patient is with rest and rehab.
Grade 1 (mild stretch) heals in about 3 weeks with rest (playing football is NOT resting it)
Grade 2 (partial tear) needs 3-6 weeks with a brace and rehab (playing football is NOT rehab)
Grade 3 (complete tear) can sometimes heal on their own after about 8 weeks of babying it (playing football is NOT babying it), but usually need a surgeon’s assistance
I heard it described as a ‘strain’, so more like Grade 1?
But he is not even listed in the injury report so maybe not even that bad.

A “strain” involves the muscle and/or tendons that attach the muscle to bone, which heal quicker.

Probably not a grade 2 since he’s playing on it is my thinking but just worried how close to losing him we are if it’s on an going injury.

QOTD: SiriusXM has an NFL channel that on Sunday’s kind of does a Red Zone kind of coverage. I was listening a few Sunday’s ago and I heard one of the announcers call his name and I was shocked that he was still playing. I think he will come into the game all worked up to play a great game against the Vikings, but will do what he always did and was – be average at best.

I finally got a Thursday game in Pick ‘Em League right after blowing it for awhile, and I only put one lousy point on it. I’m a coward!
As much as i hated taking the Bores, i had too.
I think the Bears will go on a hot streak. I have not actually looked at their opponents or anything, so that is a total whim.
But that’s my whim. They are going to go on a hot streak, which is fine. Vikings should still win this week yet.
