I spent my formative years here and remember very well the dominance and success of that era – and I’m fully aware it’s highly unlikely to be duplicated here again. Lots of factors, but I stopped drinking the Kool-Aid quite some time ago. Just want them to be competitive and routinely go to bowl games, regardless of their prestige.

A strange stat being 24th in EPS per dropback. The Vikings are 7th in 3rd down conversions at 43%. Last year we were 7th from the bottom at 36%.
Perhaps the problem is with the EPA stat. IF you are 3rd and short, and get the 1st by a yard, your EPA will be low. Third down conversions is the more relevant stat
we sucked till last week in 3rd down conversions. 80% skewed those numbers way up
But the EPA was through 5 weeks as well. My point is that it is not the best stat to judge how good you are in 3rd down. When you are in 3rd down, all you care about is getting the first!
