Welcome to Skoloholics where we are eagerly awaiting kickoff of this today’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and our division rival, the Chicago Bears. Kickoff is at noon central, c’mon in and join in the conversation!
This is a big game for the Vikings, and it is a game that they SHOULD win. I’m hoping to see Kirk pull out of his usual September funk and go into cyber-Kirk mode, as he normally does in October and November. If he can perform well, I don’t see any way the Bears pull this off, regardless of the defense’s performance. With all of the Vikings’ playmakers in the lineup for the game, they should be poised to put another “W” on the board. However, if there’s one thing we’ve learned as Vikings fans, nothing is guaranteed, so let’s hope they’re ready to whoop some Bear a**. SKOL!!!!!
The Vikings are up 21-10, and it hasn’t even been that close so far. The Vikings are dominating on offense, and other than the last scoring drive by the Bears, they’re dominating on defense as well. Cousins is as sharp as I’ve ever seen him, amassing over 200 yards in the first half, and he began the game with 17 straight completions, breaking Tommy Kramer’s team record. The Vikings SHOULD be up 24-10, but after a brilliant drive in the final minute, Greg Joseph missed a 52-yard field goal to end the half. Here’s the stat sheet from ESPN.
